For some reason the Twitter and Facebook share buttons have disappeared for me. Is it only me that isn't seeing them or is there a bug ?
Cheers.

This little dog has limited mobility and cannot run the owner said. She may follow a rabbit but would NOT go to ground.

I will write the advice here. I had offered to help the owners when she went missing but the offer was not taken up and now many days have passed which means if she was picked up her 7 days will likely be Monday.

When was the last time her microchip was checked by a vet and was it easily found? so many migrate it is a risk she would not be identified as she did not have collar and tag on. You must phone your microchip company and check all the phone numbers are up to date and ask if anyone has accessed her records since Sunday.

Working outwards from Andover contact every dog warden service logging her missing and provide her chip number. It is a very busy transit road and we have had dogs from this area picked up and taken to Exeter and as far away as St Albans. Dogwardens generally do not check this site.
You can find the dog wardens contact details by googling stray dogs and the next towns / countys name.
I know our local DW is aware (TVBC) so that's not needed.

You must phone and log her with Highways 03001235000 and provide her chip number and ask if they have had any incidents. Whilst the fencing is good it is meters from the A303 so you need to exclude this. Highways would only collect, log an store a dog if found.

The barns at the back of the barn definatley need to be searched even if they weren't open on Sunday as I have known dogs get in from "underneath" and then get trapped.

There is still a chance she went down a hole in in the adjoining field but unless she went into it often its unlikely.

There is small chance she crossed the road looking for you and carried on over to Perham ranges, but at 10 not sure if she would venture that far? but local fb posts are monitored by our group should there be any sightings.

In the area we sometimes use a local scent dog when the owner is free. I'm not sure if she can work in this location but I will ask her.

So most importantly is to start contacting all the dog wardens incase she was picked up and taken out of the area. If you saw which way the the car was going? East or West? start in that direction.

Now there is a fb page we can get her circulated better on the Salisbury side and I will ask some contacts to cross post her nationally.Last edited: 2019-10-25 15:21:08 by Sammie

General advice emailed, please leave an unwashed item of clothing in the area lost. Is TeeTee likely to have gone to ground? Please listen carefully in case trapped somewhere.

Sorry to see that TEE TEE is missing.
  • If your dog is microchipped please let the microchip company know that your dog is missing and check that all details are up to date.
  • Owners targeted by a malicious hoaxer demanding money for the return of their dog should phone the police on 101 immediately and contact admin@doglost.co.uk
  • A photograph of your dog is essential for the website. If you have not already uploaded one, please do so by clicking on Update details. Alternatively you can email it to admin@doglost.co.uk quoting the dog's DogLost ID number: (149943)
  • Obtain a missing poster by clicking on View poster above. Posters are very important so start postering now!
  • You will need to be logged in to upload photos, edit your dog's details, or add comments. You can add comments by clicking on Click here to add a comment.
  • Contact dog wardens, vets and local rescue centres, and in Scotland, the Police. Give a detailed description with any distinguishing marks/scars or send them a copy of your DogLost poster. You can find vets in your area here.
  • If your dog has been stolen inform the police immediately and obtain a crime reference number (CRN). Send an email to stolen@doglost.co.uk.
  • If your dog is picked up and taken to rescue kennels, it can be legally re-homed after seven days. Visit rescue centres in person and do not rely on checking by phone alone. Other people may not recognise your dog by your description, so give them a DogLost poster.
  • Keep us updated by keeping your dog's page up to date and check for posts from helpers who may have suggestions and possible matches or sightings
  • DogLost is free and anyone asking for money to find or return your dog is not volunteering for us. If you are concerned about an approach you have received, please email admin@doglost.co.uk
