Hi, We already have Meg listed on our Valgrays site, and obviously check out markings as much as we can from photos. I am sure the owners of Meg check our site regularly too, as they contacted us about Meg.  It is our strong opinion that DeeDee is not Meg. Firstly her ears are set very differently, DeeDee has more white on her back legs and finally her eye damage .. it has been there a long time .. certainly longer than last August.  It would be lovely to reunite Meg.  DeeDee was checked for microchip at pound and by us, none found. We dearly hope that Meg will be found soon ... all good wishes go to her owners.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I assume nothing came of the one in January ?  I've just been looking at 17226 - DeeDee on Re-united who they got recently.  So many markings appear similar but it says DeeDee is not chipped.  You need to look at the other pics on Valgrays size to see her white front leg.  Might be worth checking - sorry if I'm wrong. May be a long shot but may be worth a look.  There is a found Border Collie on 'Dog Rescue Pages' 04/11.  Maybe worth a check at photo.  Seems to have same markings at top of right leg?  Entry states contact 'Jazzzi' on 07988 433187.  Good luck.xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Thanks for the info.  This dog had ginger lights on it and Meg didnt!  They said that the dog was not chipped and was rehomed by the dog warden about 2 months ago!  We are still looking and hoping.  Thanks again for all your help.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I'm not sure that this is Meg but someone at work told me about a border collie found in Denby Dale: "This one looked to be black and white.  Wearing a blue, grey and red collar found in Denby Dale area.  Phone number given for owner to contact is 07841 517283."Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Still no news on Meg.  We put her in local free paper last week and we had a call from a local lady who told us that she had been away on holiday and while she was away the travellers had called at her neighbours and asked them to sell them their dogs! I have spoken to local police on beet in town centre and they told me that the travellers have now moved on, this reallyworries me.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Please visit the local kennels in person, she may have been handed in recently. Also speak to vets again. Its suprising she hasn't turned back up unless she was lured away. Try getting local radio to put announcements out again if you haven't already.  Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

So sorry that Meg has not yet been found David, and thank you for reporting this found dog. I will make sure it goes onto found pages if not already on there. I do hope its Megs' turn to be found next. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

We had a hopeful call this evening about Meg but sadly not her!  However it is a young female border collie about 18 months old the vet says she is not chipped.  She was found in the  Denby Dale area of Wakefield she is lovely and the lady who has rescued her is trying to find her a home as her own dog will not accept it.  If you have any enquiries please contact Andrea on 07904364916.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

This is so out of character for a BC. They only usually run if they are frightened.  I am wondering if she ran next door, a few doors away, got into a garden, hidden in a shed or outhouse and has been shut in. Have you asked your neighbours to check out their gardens. Might just be worth it. I do hope you find her soon.

David thankyou for posting on Megs page !  Please keep up the good work postering and spreading the word about Meg's diappearance You are doing all the right things and hopefully with as much public awareness as you can raise you will get some news of Meg very soon. Thanks for all your help.  We have postered extensivley all around the area.  Meg is advertised as missing in the local free paper this week and we are in contact witht all the kennels and dog wardens as you have suggested.  We have had great support from local dog walkers who are cheking for Meg and trying to walk in areas she may have gone to hide.  We also have posters in the cars so that may help as well.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I have spoken to Megs owners this evening and to date there has been no news of her at all. They have postered extensively and contacted local pounds. Meg just ran out of the garden for no apparent reason which was totally out of character for her as she has never done anything like this before.Hoping for some news of this lovely girl very soon  x Pam  Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

David I am so sorry to see Meg is missing. Please poster as much as you can and hopefully you will get some news of her. Although she is chipped and was wearing a tag when she went missing it is still important that you contact all local stray kennels. Try ..........Mount Pleasant at Hampole 01302 722748, Springfield Kennels 01924 271028, Oakenshaw Kennels 01924 863037~ PamLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
