Mia was reunited via a post on NextDoor website. Before Christmas. She was not that far from her home considering the legitimacy of time gone. Amazing.

Thank you all for your tips and help! It is much appreciated. Yes, all outbuildings have been checked thoroughly. We are regularly putting items with her/our scent on them to try and help guide her home, and have put up/are putting up plenty of posters. She doesn't like the other cats in the area (or any other cat for that matter!) but I wouldn't say there's a dominant cat necessarily.

Oh and by the way is there a dominant cat in the area? As sometimes they will chase a cat out of it`s own territory. Though sometimes the chased cat won`t return until they think it`s "Safe" enough for them to do so. Paws xd.

Presume ALL outbuildings checked at the time Mia went missing? Just because you can`t see a cat, doesn`t mean they they aren`t around. Put some tuna or chicken in her dish, and call her; night/early morning is best. Rattle some treats too. Place her UNWASHED blanket into a clean container along with your scent too. Leave in the garden in sheltered spot, or hang on the washing line if dry; used towels too. Wipe her scent on your garden fences, gate, doors too; anything leading up to the garden. Try a squeaky toy as it may attract her attention. Take a good walk around the area, holding an object with her scent on, and rattle some Dreamies. Someone maybe feeding her (Common problem), when it`s nightfall, and you are searching, use a strong torch as the light will reflect a cats eyes. Poster around the area and post flyers through doors too. Ask around, especially those with children as hey can be very observant where animals are concerned. Post in shops; post offices too. Hand out as many posters as you can; where, and when you can. Paws xd.

• If your dog is microchipped please let the microchip company know that your dog is missing and check that all details are up to date.
• Owners targeted by a malicious hoaxer demanding money for the return of their dog should phone the police on 101 immediately and contact admin@doglost.co.uk
• A photograph of your dog is essential for the website. If you have not already uploaded one, please do so by clicking on Update details. Alternatively you can email it to admin@doglost.co.uk quoting the dog's DogLost ID number: (147684)
• Obtain a missing poster by clicking on View poster above. Posters are very important so start postering now!
• You will need to be logged in to upload photos, edit your dog's details, or add comments. You can add comments by clicking on Click here to add a comment.
• Contact dog wardens, vets and local rescue centres, and in Scotland, the Police. Give a detailed description with any distinguishing marks/scars or send them a copy of your DogLost poster. You can find vets in your area here.
• If your dog has been stolen inform the police immediately and obtain a crime reference number (CRN). Send an email to stolen@doglost.co.uk.
• If your dog is picked up and taken to rescue kennels, it can be legally re-homed after seven days. Visit rescue centres in person and do not rely on checking by phone alone. Other people may not recognise your dog by your description, so give them a DogLost poster.
• Keep us updated by keeping your dog's page up to date and check for posts from helpers who may have suggestions and possible matches or sightings
