Thanks for the update, as mentioned to you earlier today, do keep up with your postering and try and go further afield.  The Rescues must be visited at least once a week, you cannot rely on her chip being read as they have been missed.  If you can get any free papers to put something in with her picture that will help spread the word.  Jan xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Thats good, hopefully that will be the case with Lily. We are going to Leigh & Manchester dogs home again on Tuesday, just incase someone has handed her in as a different breed. Thanks for the help DogLost. Come home soon Lily xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Still no news on Lily, rescues have still been getting checked. Do keep up with the postering and go further afield.  Monty (Cairn) has been reunited today after 5 weeks, finder only visits the area once a month and only seen a poster on her return.  Jan xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

just wondering have you tryed putting adds in the papers in the areas from your house to the old owners house as she may even be trying to get back to them Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I would put posters up in local petrol stations and dont stay too close to where she was lost. In a recent experinec a dog lost running scared managed to cover a lot more ground that I would have imagined. With petrol stations you are reaching out to wider travelling audience

Just got back from searching with other dogs, postered/leafleted all over, commun centre, mobile butty bars, by river and industrial buildings. Fisherman by river have been there since 6am and no sightings. Manchester dogs home no sign but said that if she was picked up in Salford would go to Leigh, new owner is up there later today. Gave poster to district nurse in area who saw a similiar dog near St Clements but it wasn't Lily (we saw also).Contacted Salford environmental services no RTA reported thank god. Any more ideas anyone?Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Spoken to new owner, they only got Lily on Sunday.  Previous owner is assisting with the search and is visiting Manchester Dog's Home, new owner has contacted Leigh by phone but is going in person today. DW's and council have been contacted.  Have explained to owner how to leave an update.  Jan xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Owner contact & visit Manchester Dogs Home and Leigh Dogs Home on the East Lancs Road. If found she may be listed as a different breed, eg pomeranian. (This has happened before so worth bearing in mind).Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

kasshyk, I've emailed smaller posters, info and scenting instructions to you and her new owners.  Your number has also been added to the posters.  You need to poster, poster, poster the area.  Lily is a little doll, keep your chin up.  Good luck  Jan xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Thanks kasshyk, for registering and updating us, is your home far from where she has been rehomed, do you think there is any chance she may try and return to you?  If you have a photo of her which you could email to admin@doglost.co.uk or perhaps send one by mobile phone it would really help?  I will send you a text so you have my number to send a photo or my direct email.  Jan xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I've just checked maps...Ordsall is in notts, not Manchester. I take it she's been lost in Salford, Manchester?  I will be passing through Manchester tomorrow..won't have time to go searching or postering (sorry! :-(), but happy to take a detour to have a look. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Rang the number originally on the poster and they did not know Lily's details had been put on DL or that she was missing, she belongs to a relative who registered her on DL, I've now changed the poster number to owner's.  Relative I spoke to is going to contact owner and ask them to upload a photo or send by email to HQ or Admin.  Left my tel numbers for owner to make contact.  Jan x Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Have you got a photo of Lily that you can upload onto the site for her poster?   Or you can email one to admin@doglost.co.uk with her name and postcode.   Then print off the poster and poster everywhere, especially near where she disappeared from.   She could have been picked up, so you need to make her too hot to handle;  it just takes that one person to see her and get in touch, the power of the poster has been proved.   Contact dog warden at the Council Offices and visit rescue centres/kennels in person, don’t rely on phone calls, they don’t always match descriptions with the dogs they have in, and they only have to hold onto the dog for 7 days before rehoming..  Good luck with your search, stay safe Lily xx
