So pleased to see that Luna is home again ! whatever were the police thinking about offering such advice !! Shame on them !! Apart from the obvious hazards a loose dog could cause both to  motorists and herself on such a road i also find myself wondering how they could show such a lack of compassion. well done to the finders and thankyou for doing the right thing to help Luna. I have a dog with a severe fear of storms and know first hand how terrifying they are for some dogs. welcome home Luna and stay safe from now on xxxxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Well, that’s twice in two days I’m speechless (see Chiqo’s page) and it takes a lot!   Apart from anything else, do the police not think a dog on the road could cause an accident?   Their advice on these occasions beggars belief, they seem to forget they’re human beings...or perhaps they’re not, they certainly don’t act like they care.   I think a complaint should be made too, if only for a bit of personal satisfaction, for it certainly won’t do any good, we’re hearing of too many instances like this.   Keep safe now lovely Luna xx

I am so pleased she is home. Thank goodness for the kindness and caring for whom ever it was that saw her at 1am. Given that they phoned the police, who said "leave her there" I would be inclined to lodge a formal complaint at the police station. The culprit would then easily be identified with skeleton night staff on duty.  What a callous person this must be. Welcome home little big one...

What a beautiful girl, lovely to see her back home, and big thanks to finder who cared enough to ignore the advice from our friendly police force (never mind their "job" dont they actually care ?) Great to see her in blue..Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

e mail from owner: She was found about 3 miles away from the house walking down a duel carrigeway at 1 this morning.  The people who found her rung the police, they said just to leave her but they couldn't.  Thank god there are some good people..Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Poor girlie, hopefully she won't have gone far.   She's probably frightened and hiding out somewhere.   Print off the poster from this site and poster everywhere around where she went missing;  she's a very distinctive dog and will surely be seen and then you'll start getting calls.   Contact dog warden and local rescue centres/kennels, visit in person, regularly, don't rely on phone calls as they don't always match descriptions given with dogs they have in.   Great that she's chipped, this and the posters will bring her home, hopefully quickly.   Good luck with the search, stay safe Luna, lovely girl xx
