I have Barney home safe and sound. I received a phone call from a woman who had just seen the poster and then spotted him running along the train tracks. What a relief. Thankyou  XLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
Andrea
I have just received a call from a woman who saw one of my posters. Barney was seen by a train driver on Sunday afternoon. Several trackmen attempted to catch him but he kept running away. I now know he made it across the train tracks and he is on the south side near West Worthing train station. It appears he is one step closer to my sisters house so one step closer to home. I will now be putting posters up in the new location.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Barney is microchipped I have just been onto his vets and they have put me into contact with his microchipping company.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
Andrea
I believe Barney is microchipped but as I am looking after him while my sister is on holiday I couldn't say for sure. I will be postering tomorrow and have been doing door to door enquiries handing out my phone number today I have called all the relevant people that I can but will be phoning all the local vets and dog warden tomorrow as they have been shut today. Also I would like to point out Barney is a miniature Yorkshire terrier with a docked tail and he permanently has his tongue poking out of his mouth.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Poster everywhere, especially near where the dog went missing (shops, vets, pet shops, local park, where people walk dogs, where people sell dogs locally, pubs, cafes). Someone may have taken him in, so need posters up so they can contact you. Tell as many dog walkers as possible and give them leaflets/posters, they can be on the lookout for you. Depending on the area, could put leaflets through letter boxes. Make everyone aware he is missing and he is yours. He may come back to the place he ran off at so keep checking. Inform the dog warden ASAP tomorrow and check with them daily (visit if possible), and any local rescue centres. Put lost notice in local papers.
 Good luck x
