Thanks so much for update.
It is so scary to know that there are predatory people that consider stealing dogs a worthy way of making money.
Sick note from his mum really what a farce.
Glad FLO is ok bless her.x

Hi I would just like to say thankyou for all your help and advice. We are so happy to have her home! She has settled back in and it seems like she never went away. Just to update you a guy was arrested and charged with the theft (he had been charged 2 years ago for the same thing) he has been due in court the last two weeks but hasn't turned up though his mum has brought him a note from the doctors. We were lucky that they got dna and the police took it seriously. This is a serious crime that is on the increase and has such a devasting effect on families. Thanks again.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Flo is home. Money had to be paid -she is very disorientated and in pup and has had no excercise but owners are of course overjoyed.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Glad to see you are investigating this theft PC Jo Essen, so often dog theft is not taken seriously by the police. Hope you manage to get a result and return this beautiful dog back to it's rightful owners. Welcome to DogLost, maybe you could stay with us as a volunteer, we need as many helpers as possible.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Forgot to say you should contact Springer rescue as they have a page on their web site for lost and stolen dogs. Good luck with the search.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Sorry to hear your little dog has been stolen. Good photo, we can clearly see her markings. Do get posters put up everywhere and make her too hot to handle. Get poster to all vets, pet shops, dog training clubs and grooming parlours. Pubs, clubs and car boot sales are places where dogs are often sold on so make sure you visit as many as possible. Make sure you contact the police and get a crime number and don't let them fob you off THIS IS THEFT OF YOUR PROPERTY. The dog warden should be notified and visit rescue centres regularly.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
