Have spoken to Ludos owners and the dog isnt him sadly :-(( They had a really "sick" call from someone after I had notified them - so if that person is trawling through Doglost and following updates just to try upset owners then SHAME ON YOU .   Only a coward would do that and withold their telephone number Because Ludo is so distintinctive I will keep checking any that may be a match and hope he is reunited soon.  Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Found ~"similar" dog with '"similar" markings but not 100% sure. on    www.nasatrust.co.uk called "Kevin" up for rehoming.  Have contacted Ludos owners to have a look as they will know for sure if markings match. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Silent Paws, can you get in touch to tell us where Ludo may have been seen recently and where you are putting the posters because other people are postering too and don't want to overlap with you? Many thanks.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
Southern Lurcher Rescue Mimsmum-SOUTHERN LURCHER RESCUE
I walked a 4 miles stretch behind Eastwick village across the back towards Gilston corner with a fellow rescue worker last night.  We walked, first the public footpath which was badly maintained and then along the back bridleway.  There are many shoot hides along that way. We postered at Eastwick village and Gilston corner and informed a worker at the turkey farm.  We are going back this evening around 7 again.  Silent Paws, can you let yourself beknown to me at Southern Lurcher Rescue so that we are not covering the same ground with posters.  07940 555 574. Jenny.  or Barney 07845 984 457. Anyone in the area of the border Herts/Essex and even down to Naezing, Stansted Abbotts, could you email the details to your friends and families.  Here is another picture of Ludo

Hi, just an update, so far the dog we have spotted in Hunsdon has been sighted every day, although not always at the same time of day. Ludo's Owners have been driving over each day to try and spot this dog, as the people that have seen the dog loose in Hunsdon believe him to be Ludo. As yet, he has not made an appearance when Ludo's owners are around, so we have not yet had it confirmed that this is definately Ludo. I am going back over tonight to poster around the old airfield and in the village so that hopefully more sightings will be reported and we can pin point a smaller area to search. Keeping fingers crossed and eyes peeled. xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

If you haven't already done this, postering everywhere to make Ludo too hot to handle is the best way forward.   I imagine you're checking rescue centres/kennels on a regular basis, if he was stolen it's possible he could be dumped, also contact the dog warden.   Good that he's chipped.   Be safe Ludo, lovely boy, and come home quickly now xx

We met Ludo's owners last night and walked the areas he has been spotted, unfortunately no sightings while we were out last night, but his owners will be back there today. Fingers crossed.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

How common is it for dogs to be taken away by other people?  We feel that if he was strayed or RTA we would have heard something because he is chipped.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
