A similar bird was in our tree today looking at the bird feeder. Not sure if it was Jeff obviously and it wasn't me who saw it so not sure if there was a band round the neck. Bean Leech. Will look out again. Do they eat fruit?

A Comment on Jeff's post in our national FB group says:
"There is quite a colony of naturalised ringnecks at reddish vale country park which I think is quite close to offerton, maybe 5miles? I wonder if he might find his own kind so close?
Perhaps it’s worth sharing to reddish groups just in case one of the local birders or photographers spot a ringed bird there"

Try a recording of a similar bird, which you may find on utube. It may help bring him back.
