Wonderful news. So happy for you. Stay very close now Whisper:-)xxx Someone has probably been feeding her.

Any uodate on Whisper? If not, what could have happened is that she has been chased out of her
territory by a more donminant cat, however the cat usually returns within a few days, when they think it`s "safe" enough to do so, or she may have climbed into a vehicle, which isn`t uncommon for cats to do. Consider posting a LOST CAt ad in a National newspaper. Presume all vets, animal rescue centres, Cat Protection contacted, as sometimes a micropchip can move. I know of one that came out once. Paws xd,

Yes a cat trap a good idea now, i think, But what you could do first is when you are looking for her (Nightime is best when it`s quiet) Use the same deodorant, say that you use on a day to day basis, as she will recognize the scent, and your the one she trusts, And.or take with you an air frsshener which you use on a reguar bassis, as it should remind her of her own comforts. As she is a nervous cat, my best guess would be that she is hiding somewhere... Bearing in mind too that cats have very flexible spines, which enables them to fir into very small spaces. Keep us posted.

Thank you Janiejewel, do you think it is worth putting out a trap if no sightings, I can get a cat trap

I would now borrow a cat trap from an animal rescue centre, or Cat Protetion for a small donation I think. The staff will show you how to use it. Place inside an object with her scent on; your scent too. I wouldn`t put food in, because of other cats etc. It may be that someome is feeding her, thinking she is a stray. It does happen Paws xd for Whisper to be home very soon. Presume neutered?

Indoor cats who go missing, will feel very anxious being out of their comfort zone which is in their own homes with people they trust; their owners. They usually hide close by. A door Whisper has access to, open wide, and stand aside (Don`t block her entrance) Or she will see it a "Threat" Put some tuna, or warn chicken in her dish, and place it about twice the width of the open door. Place her UNWASHED blanket into a clean container, along with your scent too, because your the one she trusts. Leave about 2 metres from the open door. Empty her used litter tray onto the garden, as her scent will be there; hoover contents too. Check all outbuildings, THOROUGHLY, as some cats will hide inside an object within. Post flyers through doors too. Ask around, especially families, as children can be very observant. Paws xd.
