I CANT SHARE THE PAGE, BUT A DOG WAS FOUND IN 2017 CHIPPED AS FERN, THEY SAY IT WAS AROUND 15 YEARS OF AGE, WOULD BE ABOUT RIGHT FOR THE AGE OF THIS DOG, SWINDON COUNCIL HAD THE DOG, SAME COLOUR AS FERN, SO I WOULD SAY ITS A STRONG POSSIBILITY IT WAS FERN, BUT NOT QUITE SURE, SADLY THIS FERN HAS NOW GONE TO RAINBOW BRIDGE HENCE WHY THE SWINDON COUNCIL WAS LOOKING FOR THE OWNER, BUT NEVER FOUND THE OWNER, I HAVE PUT THE POST IN MY GROUPS ON FACEBOOK WHICH IS SPRINGERS AND SPANIELS FOUND AND DOGS FOUND BUT NEVER CLAIMED, SORRY I COULDNT SHARE THE ACTUAL LINK XXX

Thanks Reynard, that's a shame, the owner of Fern could have closure, I feel very sad for this abandoned Spaniel .

Swindon Dog warden has said "The Fern we had, had a long docked tail, but we don't think it's the same dog. I've had a look at markings from the doglost photo and the pictures i have don't match up. The doglost image shows Fern has a white neck and the photos I have show that she has alot more liver on her neck. The leg markings also don't sound the same. "

Just been comparing the pictures of this Fern and the springer found in Swindon which had to be pts. This dog is now on doglost id 112844.
The found dog looks to have has more brown around the neck area than the above dog. The found dog was chipped to Dorset and age was around 15.

Just seen the article and your comment Sheltielover...Hopefully the vet may have a few more photo's..face mrkings are very similar...Mollychops are you going to get in touch with the council? Fern is docked.

I have put a comment into the newspaper article and asked them to please check that the found dog is or is not this fern as it might lead to Bud and Tess being found.

Fern, Bud & Tess are still missing unfortuantly, all though another  local stolen dog, was recovered by police in Cornwall! Police are proactive and taking this theft seriously. Fern's rear end is said to look like she is wearing trousers so the liver goes across her bum and down her legs.We need eyes and ears on this one please helpers.Thanks.x

Found on www.dogpages.org.uk : Young Springer Spaniel Bitch - Found yesterday afternoon at Gresley Rovers Football Club, Church Gresley running on pitch. No tag or chip. As I already have 5 dogs the local warden took it to Lakeside Kennels, Wcyhnor, Burton on Trent. - Good luck.

Its just possible that these 3 dogs may be in the Plymouth area so could DL helpers in that area keep their eyes peeled please? This is the only photo as an adult dog of Fern, owner has some puppy photos if we need to compare markings.

Please owner contact the other owners of working dogs in the SW as may be a link also you can help each other and poster a wider area please look at Tanner Lurcher SW (in blue!!) good advice also there are details of an open day this w/e in Wilts, owners and helpers are going to advertise the missing situation of our dogs many people will be there.

Owner is active and looking for his dogs. Dog Wardens and kennels have been called just incase the dogs have got away from their captors.........Owner if you are able to register on the site and update us then please do. The kennels in Newton Abbot which takes the strays is Foredowne kennels (01803 872260) and also try Animals in Distress at Newton Abbot (01803 812121). Gables farm at Plymouth take the strays from that area (01752 331602) and occasionally Woodside (01752 347503) so try all these numbers and keep phoning them regularly to make sure they are aware of your dogs.......................I have emailed Foredowne kennels a poster of all 3 dogs. Anyone local please help by getting postering and asking around. Someone knew these dogs were there!!

I live right over in Paignton so probably they won't turn up here. On the other hand it is only a short drive away so it is not impossible that they could get brought here, so I will keep a look out.
