Thanks for telling us how he was found. He will probably be a bit clingy for a little while now. Bless him!Last edited: 2018-05-24 12:23:26

I got let out of work early so I could ask at the local businesses on the street (they're closed by the time I get home normally). First place I went to ask and give a poster to, just a few doors down, said there'd been a cat in their storage area all day hiding under the pallets. We couldn't get behind there to look while they were closed. Turned out it was Summer! He is very tired, hungry and thirsty but clearly very happy to be back home with mummy and daddy. We cried with happiness when we found him. I reckon the dirty litter and leaving his pillow out lured him into the area. Thank you so much for the tips everyone x

In this case then, i would borrow cat trap from Cat Protection (For a small donation I think) Then place inside the trap an object with his scent on, and your scent too. I would refrain from putting any food in at his stage, because of other cats. Paws xd. As you know with cats it`s all about scent; their own, and their owners.

Thank you for the tip but unfortunately we live in a flat on a main road. We can't leave the communal door open for worry of theives and other residents will probably shut it. He has no way back inside himself.... Unless he's spotted I've no idea how we're gunna get him back. No garden either. I've scattered his dirty litter in the car park out back and front just in case...

As you say Indoor cats will usually feel very anxious, and scared being out of their comfort zone which is indoors with people they trust; their owners. A door he has access too, open wide, and stand aside (Don`t block his entrance) Put some tuna or warm chicken in his dish, and place it about twice the width of the open door. Place his UNWASHED blanket into a clean container, along with your scent too. Leave them not too far from the open door. He is most probably hiding somewhere, as Indoor cats tend to hide close by their own homes as a rule. When you see him approach, act as though Summer going missing has been no big issue, or he may run off, as some cats do. Post flyers through doors too. If all else fails, you could borrow a cat trap from Cat Protection (For a small donation I think) hopefully you won`t need it. Paws xd Summer will be home very soon.

Thank you. I'm beside myself with worry. Walked miles looking everywhere and no luck...
