Update from Alfie’s group

Hi Everyone,

For all that are rightly asking how Alfie came home and if he is ok....

We received a call from someone who lives nearby to say they think they have Alfie, he was handed in to them by some walkers. I am not sure how he got to almost home, maybe the people who stole him just let him go and he found his way back, we are really not sure.

Alfie is a little skinnier but nothing major. He looks like he has aged a bit in the face, a few more Grey hairs from his stressful 6 weeks away from home. But other than that all seems in good health.

Thanks again, I hope more dogs are reunited soon πŸ™πŸ»β€οΈ xx

Is there any possiblity this is the dog sighted in Little Berkamsted Lane SG13? Dog ID129219? That little dog has black marking on tail. Coat looks darker than Alfie, but could be the shadow in photo. Hope there is some good news about Alfie soon.

Full Police Appeal for those not on Facebook x

"Officers have released a photo of a dog stolen from Berkhamsted in a bid to reunite him with his rightful owners.
At around 3.31pm on Tuesday, May 8, Jack Russell Alfie, was taken from a home in Rossway, along with three chickens.
Alfie was seen being carried into a white Ford tipper van, with a possible index of FV15 XAZ.
The offenders are described as three white men. One of the men is of a large build and was wearing a white t-shirt. A second man is described as being of a large build, with short, dark shaven hair that is slightly balding. He is described as being around 38 to 42 years old and was wearing dark trousers, and a long sleeved thin, navy jumper with red font on the back. The third man is described as around 25 years old, tall, and of a slim build. He was wearing a red t-shirt that had a logo, khaki shorts and sports trainers with white socks.
PCSO Lauren Jackson, who is investigating, said: “Alfie’s owners are desperate to get him back. They are distraught by what has happened.
“If you saw the incident, or have any other information about what happened, please get in touch with me.
“Alfie is white with brown and black markings – if you think you’ve seen him, or been offered him for sale, I would also like to hear from you.
“Any information, no matter how small it may seem, could help us reunite Alfie with his family who miss him so dearly.”
Anyone with information should contact PCSO Jackson on lauren.jackson@herts.pnn.police.uk or the non-emergency number 101, quoting crime reference D2/18/478. You can also report information online at http://socsi.in/BD9pE .
Alternatively, you can contact the independent crime-fighting charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or through their Anonymous Online Form at http://socsi.in/7REXa. No personal details are taken, information cannot be traced or recorded and you will never need to go to court."

Multiple mentions of Alfie on Mix96 local radio station today. Let’s hope it brings in some news of him.
Ruth
Hello,
I’ve just been in contact with “Malton” unfortunately it is not Alfie.
It’s been almost a week and have had no concrete leads, not sure what else I can do, offer a reward? X
Malton
There has been sighted only a JR very similar to Alfie in Berkhamstead even down to the patch on his tail. I have commented on a fb photo of the sighted one and just joined his fb page.

Is there a Facebook group (like Sprocket) for Alfie’s search?
DogLostnickyjm-Area volunteer Bucks
Thank you JulieC I have checked with Ruth, Alfie didn’t go missing until about 3pm yesterday so the sighting you mentioned couldn’t have been him but thanks x
JulieC
Apparently there was sightings of a dog loose in the woods near Alford Arms yesterday morning around 9:30am and near the golf course st 9:15am. Team Sprocket have spent hours in the woods yesterday and today but unfortunately without result.
