I had seen a ginger cat up by the allotments near the Hospital & I rang Rio’s owner straight away incase it was him. They were very grateful for my call but told me the good news that Rio had been found & was safe & sound.
I believe it was somewhere near there.
Very happy & relieved owners xx

Hi, yes, many cats that go missing have got into a delivery van or car and hitched a lift to their next port of call. Was there a delivery van around that day? Ask neighbours. Then call the delivery company and ask where the vehicle went next. Most vans use gps now and can say exactly where they went that day. A local cat got into a van and jumped out at a care home a couple of miles away after medications were delivered there. A friend noticed a poster on their gates and told the cat's owners. He had been regularly fed by the care home people and they were actively looking for his family. Really hope your cat comes home soon, thinking of you

When you are posting in an area he went awol use the same deodorant/after shave/perfume you use on a day to day basis depending on your gender of course, as he will recognize the scent. It could also be an Air freshner which you use regularly too. Paws xd,

Sorry found cat not Rio. Have just been loking at Gumtree, and Rio has a post on there too. Apparently he was being looked after by a friend when he escaped. The problem is with cats they hate change of any kind, and some cats don`t evern like it when a new carpet is put down. They rely very much, on their scent, and their owners too. When cats go missing under these circumstances they tend to find refuge in someone`s garden not too far from where they went mising, Presume all Vets, Rescue Centres, and Cat Protection contacted in the area he went missing. Even if not microchipped they will tell you that a cat matching Rio`s description has been handed in. Poster around the area where he went missing, and post flyers through doors too. And ask around, especially those with children as they can be very observant, especially if they see a cat they have`nt seen before. Ask friends, and neighbours to share as well as DL. Consider posting a LOST CAT ad in a National newspaper in case he has inadvertently "Hitched a lift" Paws, and fingers xd that Rio is reunited very soon.

FOUND CAT.......was handed into Wood Green The Animals Charity at Heydon yesterday. If you believe this is your cat, please get in touch asap on 0300 303 9333 ext 1100. If not claimed he will be rehomed. Very friendly but not microchipped just in case he got in a car and went for a ride xx
