Yes he may be trying to found his own way home, Cats hate change of any kind. This is why they sometimes go awol. If possible it`s best to leave a cat in its own home, where there are familiar smells etc, ever their owners scent will remain, so it will give the cat comfort. He may have found refuge in someones garden, and is being fed. Poster around the area where he ran away from., Ask friends, and neighbours to share as well as DL. Paws xd. he is home soon
