The dog on the a14/a11 has been recovered, she was chipped and owners have been informed but is NOT Poppy. Last edited: 2017-11-25 10:57:16 by Ness

Could she have been wearing a blue collar? A friend has just reported on her facebook that she has spotted a deceased dog on road side. I don't know the area but this is what she says "in a lay by on the A14 just past the turn off to A11 but sadly wanted to report ive seen a deceased dog on the side of the road. Large white one Saluki size with a bright blue collar please share to local lost dog groups so the owner can be found"

Oh,dear, thanks for doing that,I have passed that onto my neighbour who had reported it.All we can hope is that no news is good news, maybe it was a large white plastic type sack that has blown away.

Possible sad sighting. My neighbour was returning from Elm today. She said that there are two car washing sites on either side of the road and that just past one,on the left side of the verge was something large and white. She was unable to stop to verify wether it was this dog or a white sheet/bag as she was in heavy traffic. If there is anyone near who could check this.
Lindy
My neighbour, who told me that she had seen this dog as she drove home, mentioned that there is a travellers site at Elm,in the direction this dog was heading. If they are reasonable ,might be worth asking at the site,in case Poppy wandered in there.
TigerLilly
Sorry if this is all incorrect, I'm new to the site. A friend posted this dog lost on FB, which I shared. Another friend commented that she had seen a dog very similar to this at Wood Green 2 weeks ago. I'm just trying to help. Hope this may be useful??

Thank you Nim, Message passed on to Poppy's Owner

Hi, I think I have seen Poppy twice in Willingham. Around 10:30pm Sunday 22nd going through bins on Church street near the Co-Op (I couldn't pull over at the time) and again the same distinctive dog in the bins behind One Stop on Church Street/Long lane at 11:30pm Monday 23rd. I went to see the dog but it fled when I tried to approach. I'm sorry I couldn't get a picture to confirm but the build, colour and the way the fur hangs fluffy under the tail definitely made me think of a saluki type when I saw the dog on Sunday which was surprising. Couldnt see any collar at the time. I've checked the local Facebook pages/village twitter but nobody local is missing a dog currently. I'm very concerned about the dogs welfare as the street is busy in the day but I'm unable to place any calls to appropriate authorities. The One Stop shop does have CCTV, I will try ask them to review the footage if it helps, though no guarantee of course. Last edited: 2017-10-24 01:18:57 by Nim
