Thank you Mandy, yes I am so concerned for this poor dog that he was handed back to his 'owner' when he was found in such appalling condition.
I hope he has escaped again & is somewhere safe as I worry about his fate otherwise. Please could you post on here if you hear anymore news, thank you Mandy.
tim g I am glad you have checked but please never be put off by length of coat etc as this can be changed & sometimes make the dog unrecognisable. Even chips can move or very sadly be removed.
I also have a labradoodle & I know what beautiful dogs they are, I can see so much resemblance to my own & especially that ginger round the mouth. This is why I think this dog maybe a labradoodle.
I really hope this dog is ok & that you find your Alfie x

Thank you for your concern and for contacting me to see if this Alfie was Alfie 116438. It isn't Alfie 116438 - he has longer shaggier hair and is black although he does have some ginger colouring around his mouth. We've just got back from searching but to no avail.
Mandy
From what I have read on the Facebook site the "owner" is from the local travellers site and has said that the dog has escaped again - it appears that the original finder has contacted Alfie's owners so they are aware and there is another person who says it may be a missing dog from Ireland!!

I have read on this post below that this poor dog has been returned to its 'owners' please can someone tell me why the RSPCA have not been involved? The dog is clearly in need of help and I cannot believe it's been given back. This dogs welfare should be a major concern here.
When I saw that he had been found I was so relieved he would be looked after but now seeing him reunited I am so scared what will happen to him.
Also on first appearances I thought this poor boy was a labradoodle & is there anyone that can check it is not Alfie 116438?
Please please can someone follow this up.
