Lozzas Lurcher Rescue
UPDATE...We had a sighting of her last night - the rescue went to the area last night and with the rest of our helpers spent the entire evening up until 5am this morning looking for her. We covered a large area and could hear her barking and she was spotted once by someone at 2.30ish. This morning, the fosterer arrived back in the area and in a nutshell she was flushed out and has been hit by a car. Initial examinations is a shattered paw and slight head trauma. She is being made stable and then being moved to an orthapedic vets. SO SHE HAS BEEN CAUGHT AND IS SAFE NOW...I CANNOT THANK EVERY ONE ENOUGH FOR ALL YOUR HARD WORK..... THANK YOU....XXX THIS CAN NOW BE CLOSED AND A REUNITED ONE DONE XX

Hi no new info on Chloe, but just a comment for the people fostering her. The people in this area are so helpful when a dogs go missing. Two years ago our own lurcher Molly went missing in the same area for 6 days as soon as there was a sighting we would rush out to the area and find 20 to 30 people there already helping us to look for her, this would happen every time we had a sighting of her in the area. On day 6 she was found in the car park of the Red Lion in Sedgely. So don't give up hope people will tern out to help look for any new signings in this area.

As a result of the posters, we know of another sighting on Sunday. Chloe was seen running down Burton Rd towards Jews Lane/Eve Lane. This would have been straight after she escaped and the person who spotted her said she was really charging ahead. Chloe's story has now been on the radio and we have another 500 posters to stick up. But given the speed she was going, she might be a bit further away than we'd like. I'm asking friends to spare an hour to contact all schools, community centres, sports clubs etc in the area and to send them her poster. The experts think she'll favour going left and will try and work her way back.
Lozzas Lurcher Rescue
The area has been leafletted, posters put up, dog walkers stopped and spoken to, CCTV asked to be viewed, police, council, dog warden , dog and animal rescues, vets been contacted. K9SearchUk are involved in the area since yesterday. People are out looking as well. Reward now gone up. The fosterers have been very active in the area . Have we missed anything that we should be doing ? We are all very worried about her as there are NO SIGHTINGS whatsoever and I just have a feeling that she has been picked up and stolen. I am hoping that a reward will flush her out....Thank you to everyone for all the alerts, help etc x

Thanks HelenCh. We have left some messages for Ray. This is quite a built up area so I need some advise about feed stations. There is a lot of 'free food' available in bins etc so we need some more input here. Also we have had no sightings since 1pm Sunday which were all within the next 3 minutes of Chloe running off so we don't know where to target. BUT I do appreciate the advice. We're so distress that sometimes we don't think clearly so all suggestions are very welcome. If we're out searching then we might not be able to follow up on them until a little later but all welcome. We want to do all we can to get her back.

Clyde those posts are WITHIN Reunited dogs. Here is Lexi paragraph: 'hi, can i suggest you look at POPPYS page reunited 66926 there is some good info i put on there about scent trails and covering the food so crows etc can,t eat it.. and as you are hopefully aware to call these dogs by their name seems to be fatal. they trust no-one at all.she has chosen these hanwell fields as a safe zone,DONT over power her by search parties! just drag trails to good food stations (covered). you should build a pattern up within 2 days, as long as you clock the exact route and spots she has been seen..ie litter bins benches are good places, bitches i find keep to a SAFE pattern.all these poor dogs are all different characters, and they all change and go into survival mode..its more than distressing to see what was your trusting, loving , companion look at you and bolt so be prepared, as mentioned see poppys page.. another very important thing to remember is once a pattern is set up,(EARLY mornings and after 8PM) if you need to shout for a dog trap..NOT A FOX TRAP!!! too small for her. i have several that can be got to you. good luck..but as i said they are all diferent and she may just realise its you and give herself up. wind direction is another usefull tool .RAY'

Thank you everyone. Still no news. We have sent many messages to owners of various facebook pages in/around Dudley so hopefully social media will be plastered with her details tomorrow. Owl, we live in the Forest of Dean and spent many hours searching for Lexi. But I can't find her post or that of Poppy. I'll contact Ray tomorrow. Fingers crossed we hear something from the vets or dog warden tomorrow.

I have spoken with Ray Dedicoat of Hollytrees rescue, and he suggests that you look at his posts on the pages of reunited dogs Lexi 92192 and Poppy 66926 as he has done long posts on both with useful advice for dogs on the run. The important thing is do not chase and do not call or shout, but move at an angle to Chloe, not directly towards her. Do not make eye contact. Get down on the ground if you can. Give her time to recognise you.

Lozzas Lurcher Rescue
This is a dog that has not long gone into foster (from lozzas podenco rescue) and was taken on a day trip out of the area. She should be friendly enough to catch but it depends how scared she is. She is wearing a bright yellow harness. lead attached and is wearing a light blue lozzas podenco rescue collar. Her tag evidently has come off so there will be no contact details on her. Please call either 07956 349337 in the first instance and 07535 992744 secondly. Thank you all for your help x
