I'm so sorry to have to report that we now know that it is highly likely that Eddie was killed on the M40 on Sunday while chasing the muntjac from Fennel's Wood. We don't yet have notification of a body but all the facts point to it being him.
Our family has been bowled over by everyone's kindness in helping in some way to find him.
He was a much-loved dog and will be sorely missed but we will remember him with great joy. Thank you so much.

Please would you also add SL6, HP11 and HP12 as the possible wooded routes with minimum road exposure would take him into those postcodes too.
Loads of posters up; nearly 1000 people know of him through Facebook; sadly no sightings today making it so much more difficult to try to pinpoint him. Let's hope for more information tomorrow.

Chris, re Eddie missing Springer in HP10. May I suggest that any helpers in SL1 8 are notified as this borders HP10
It includes Burnham, dropmore, hedsor, Burnham Beeches, nearly up to Beaconsfield and meets HP10 at Wooburn Green !

Poster up near golf club especially as its near home. Go out first light around perimeter of it if possible.

Poster near schools up there as children are very good at spotting loose dogs. Put on Mix96 website and also check it. Put a couple of posters in Royal Mail post boxes as posties take back and display in their sorting office. Keep going back to area lost in as dogs often go back to where they were lost from

Thanks for sorting the admin. Eddie sighted this afternoon as said and also another sighting, although that was yesterday, at the top of New Road, Bourne End near Pig Wood in Flackwell Heath. We think he may have strayed to the car park of the business on Furlong Road in Bourne End because he's getting hungry. Let's hope he seeks civilisation for that. I'll put more posters out tonight and go over to Pig Wood. Then we'll hope for more sightings tomorrow. I'll try to keep this as updated as I can.

He was sighted on the golf course about an hour ago. I live alongside it and I'm surprised he hasn't found his way home.

Hi Jonathan. He went missing in the top of Fennels Wood at the Flackwell end. He was chasing a muntjac. I have left his bed where we were separated yesreday with a coat. If you have tracking dogs that would be great. Thank you so much

Can you tell me whether it was the top half or bottom half of the woods and whereabouts and I will do a quick search today with my springers to check whether he is trapped anywhere

Might be worth checking at Maccabee kennels near Longwick incase picked up by dog warden (when I used to live in Wycombe these were the kennels used by them) x
