So very very sorry for your loss. Buster's demise wasn't for the want of trying by those who desperately sought to get him back to safety...so many unselfish hours of effort here from a really great team.
You'll certainly be remembered Buster and I hope you are enjoying your heavenly bunny chasing. RIP lad. x

Hi everyone. I'd like to say. Big Thankyou to everyone who helped try to catch buster and all the people who kept us updated on his movements
SADLY this morning he was hit by a car at harbledown. We have collected his body and will be burying him this evening. I'm sure he will be chasing bunnies in heaven. Such a shame RIP buster xx

Jayne we have had a bitch in season there, humane traps, bbqs I have sat on the floor for hour and a half giving him food he will not go near anyone. He has a routine which is now changing a little. We have a few other ideas having a horse box there with straw or hay in, going to try and trap him in an ally way if he uses it. If not will have to maybe try netting but I think he is too quick for this. I am also going up tomorrow in my mobile dog grooming van and we are going to try and trap him in the back of it. If all fails we will either have to drug him or dart him. I have been speaking with the rspca who will come out and have a look and also a vet that darts. If people can't get hold of ems they can always phone me who is also very active in helping ems and the humane traps are my traps from Harveys army. My number is 07816492791. We have also had Lisa from dog lost out helping man the traps x

I pulled into the village Hall car park to phone you. How odd. Anyhow the exact spot I saw him last night was opposite the turning into the Oasthouses on Denstead Oast. He was on the edge of the orchard exactly opposite the road into the Oasthouses. So he wasn't near the village hall at that point. I do hope he decides to come to you as he gets cold. I reckon he could survive in that orchard for ages. It's full of rabbits.

Ems he is in Greyhound heaven...all those rabbits! will call you and see how we can help.
Ems
Owner here was at village hall for hours yesterday have made notes of all sightings and times. Tried to call back repeatedly had full signal person calling had no signal went to answer phone 8 times. Left him fish and chips he does not want to be caught we are doing what we can
Hollieberry
Poor dog has been on his own for too long and its getting cold now I hope someone can trap him soon.

I saw the dog last night and phoned as soon as I could, but the woman on the phone couldn't hear me. Then I texted too but it wouldn't go through as though the phone had been switched off. I saw this dog on Wednesday the 19th.

And another sighting phoned in also late yesterday afternoon...again in the orchards near the oast house and running in the direction of Chilham...Sighter also says he has seen the dog before in this field...which would be an ideal place as loads of windfall apples and large population of rabbits....Owner people are having problems contacting you as phone off or out of signal? Do you have a landline so Ican call when sightings come in? do email to admin@doglost.co.uk thanks.
G
Thankyou everyone please keep reporting any sightings you see, pagandog ..was the sighting today at 6.15 am of 1815hrs...
pagandog
I saw a very similar looking dog to Buster running down Denstead Lane at the oasthouse, it was running towards Harbledown. I tried to phone the number on the posters in the village but the woman couldn't hear me. It was exactly 6.15 when I saw the dog, though it looked more like a lurcher than a greyhound.
JulieH
Come on Buster ,time to go home x

I think I may have seen Buster approximately 1 week ago in Bigbury Road. He was running from Harbledown direction towards Chartham Hatch. Can't be sure as this was at about 6:30am so was still quite dark. Not sure if this will help.
Ems
We are trying to trap him 2nd attempt today fingers crossed keep everyone posted. He is well and fit

I have just seen post in facebook via Missing Dogs and Strays in Canterbury that a dog matching this description (white with black big spots greyhound) was seen at Howfield Wood. The dog was wearing a brown leather?? collar and looked scared but not injured. The dog went into the woods.
Tazza123
I think I saw him last night on Denstead Lane between Petty France and the oast houses. I stopped the car but he made off into the orchards. I'll keep an eye out.
Ems
Hi buster is still missing he was seen in Chartham hatch 4 days ago and had taken food but not seen since then he could have jumped in a vehicle as lots of wet weather last few days and may have hitched a lift will ring round see if any sightings this end. Please note he has a prominent tan patch on right side of his face
Thanks

Think we saw him this evening running down Tyler Hill Road. Car was following to keep him safe from the traffic. We followed saw him run off into the woods behind the university of kent, just off Park Wood Road near the business school construction site. Seemed to be full of energy at least!
Dominique
Has anyone put posters up, do we know if the dog warden has been contacted?
Dominique
Buster was spotted crossing the the A2 at Harbledown lights before Palmers Hill heading up towards rough common. 6.15am 8/09/16 Have advised owners to keep putting food out. Has also been seen at the paintballing site local to Harbeldown so advised owners to also put food out there too.
Bex
Last reported sighting yesterday (weds) around 9am in Howfield Lane and Bigbury Farm area. He's heading back this way! Hoping that his scent trail is strong enough to get him back to Pennypot! He's obviously terrified and hungry..... please everyone, keep looking and keep reporting sightings!
G
The Kent Online post turned out to be a different greyhound which belonged to someone else.

Buster is still loose.

I think the last sighting was yesterday in Harbledown. This has just flashed up on Kent Online. Could it be Buster. http://www.kentonline.co.uk/faversham/news/dog-on-the-loose-on-100753/
