Tiga is looking forward to meeting Tony over a cup of coffee.
I expect Tiga will tell him off for taking him through a wet muddy ditch which I gather Tony loves but Tiga hates.

Important post left on Tony's FB page-
by Mary Silvanus
"Can i clarify just incase, i had my st bernard at lydiard park from around 3pm till 7pm on saturday, so if anyone comes in with a sighting of him, it wasnt Tony. Dont want anyone to waste time on a false sighting xx"

Was this the St.B in the boot of the car at 11am Sat morning as well? Could someone check with Mary Silvanus if her dog was travelling in the boot in the morning?
Mary Silvanus has also left a comment this morning on Lost ad Found Pets in Swindon regarding her St.B.Last edited: 2016-07-11 11:01:30 by Baydogs

Good morning Briony. (To make everyone clear, Briony is Emily's mum and all are part of lost Tony's family.)
I see Emily is making sure that Tony is on all the selling sites which is brilliant.
Hopefully, if that was Tony in the boot of a car on Saturday morning, those people will be taking him to a vet or notifying the warden today.
Briony, is there a local radio station who would put out an alert for Tony? My own area is accommodating, but I know some areas are more reluctant to do so.
BUBBLES
Comment on Swindon24.
Corinne Amor Does anyone know if this dog has been found? I'd seen a st Bernard's in the boot of a car sat morning around 11 on the m4 heading out south of Swindon, I even commented about it because you don't see many. Not sure if it's worth reporting because what are the chances it's the same dog.
Briony
Hello. Briony here. Emilys mum. Thanks for all you guys are doing. If theres anything we can do, please let us know.
Unknown
I think both sides of the road should be checked as I read at one point he was on the other side of the road as a car almost hit him........according to face pages.it sounds to me like he is making his way back to the woods where he first went missing.maybe a bbq later in the carpark might pull him out if in the area.
Baydogs
Thank you Jenny. I feel exhausted just reading about it. I don't know how you (or those that follow you) keep up.
A thought- Aldi would have CCTV. And is there any CCTV after Aldi that someone may be good enough to let the owners look at?
Jenny & Tiga k9tracker
Just got home and I am sure you are all waiting for an update. A difficult case to track as no specific scent item because of multiple dogs all, sleeping together. Initially Zoe and I came to the comclusion that Tony had been picked up near the car park as Tiga simply found no,scent going anywhere. One or two places but I felt he was just looking. We then decided to go to near the two possible sightings and see what he made of those. Yes he wanted to go on the A419 from a footpath and then came back and continued up Turnpike Road northwards to,Turnpike roundabout, turning left over the roundabout, taking a sniff at the market and out. Here was our first downpour but Tiga tried to continue and took us towards the Harvester and onto Aldi where Zoe in just a t-shirt was somewhat drenched and cold and Tiga looked equally unimpressed. So we called it a day.
I am totally open minded as to where Monty is. Tiga found no scent at the point he disappeared but did seem to find a short trail to the car park on a different path. Was he put in a car here? Was he then dumped later on in Turnpike road, Is he now heading back towards the woods but on the opposite side of the A419 or heading round Swindon towards Lydiard Park where he is walked. The point where we stopped was at a junction that could then have gone in a number of directions. A frustrating and inconclusive day! Last edited: 2016-07-11 11:09:30 by Jenny & Tiga k9tracker

Jenny is on her way home now after doing a sterling job here, she will update this page later . Thankyou Jenny and Tiga Bless you for what you did today X
Baydogs
Jenny must be feeling a little leg weary by now. It has been a long day. Was so hoping that Tiga would be able to pick up a scent.

Of course it could be that someone has taken Tony in with the intention of notifying the warden or taking him to a vet for a scan tomorrow. Which leads me to another concern; if that person is not familiar with the needs of this breed they will not be aware that they are at a high risk of Gastric Dilatation-Volvulus (GDV) or Bloat as it is often referred to. This can occur in deep chested dogs such as St.Bernards, and can be brought on by stress, giving too much water at one time, or fast change of diet and this can lead to an life threatening emergency situation if volvulus (twisting of the stomach) is involved. Please, anyone finding Tony- Give him some water if he is thirsty, but NOT too much at one time. And offer a treat or two to encourage him over to you by all means, but do NOT feed a full meal. Catch him, and dial his owner on 07583298526 for safety -or simply ring in with a sighting. Thank you.Last edited: 2016-07-10 20:12:05 by Baydogs

Good thinking Baydogs - I have messaged the Stanton House Hotel fb page with poster link. They replied immediately saying they will make sure staff are aware.

Not far from the lake I mentioned below, there is The Stanton House Hotel which has a restaurant. Have they been notified in case Big Boy's tum is feeling rather empty and he's attracted by the yummy smells coming from the kitchens.

Mollychops - do you know if anyone has checked / postered the Mobile Home Park just to the north of the wood and car park (http://www.parkhome-living.co.uk/park-homes-for-sale-and-rent/view/10929-kingsdown-mobile-home-park)? Is it possible Tony could have headed in that direction and got taken in by someone who may not be aware that people are looking for him / not aware that they should report as found?

Also, further to the north west is a cattery (http://www.highmeadcattery.co.uk/). Do you know if Lisa's trawl of properties along Kingsdown Lane included that and neighbouring properties in case Tony is attracted to the smell / scent of other animals?Last edited: 2016-07-09 21:42:41 by GeoffA - Area Volunteer - Cornwall, Scotland & Northumberland

Just spoke to owner and sent him a photo of the one in Ireland - so sorry - not his dog.
Elle2812
St Bernard just been rehomed in Ireland. This 'rescue' buys /rescues dogs at horse fairs and from dog pounds. I don't know if it's him but this post just appeared today - anyway to get the owner to view it? On Facebook - Animal Heaven Animal Rescue. There is a photo. The people who now have him rehomed a Newfoundland from them 3 weeks ago but this boy got rehomed today.

Misha
Will share in Cornwall just to spread coverage. So sorry to hear this has happened and best of luck. As someone said a dog that big will be hard not to spot so hopefully someone will spot him soon x

Might be a good idea to go to the woods early morn or late evening when its quieter. Leave something with his/your scent on near where your car was parked, hopefully that will keep him in the area as I understand dogs do go back to where they were lost from. Hope he is gound very soon x
