Thanks Springermad and Ali. I will do some posters later as well.
UPDATE!!!
Literally just had a lovely call from Sally saying that Toby has been found and his family have just collected him. He was under a bush in someone's garden in Fern Road and was spotted by the lady who lives there. Well done to her for finding him and not scaring him off. Thank you so much :)
Well done to Toby for staying safe last night!

Ok went to the marshes/reed beds via heron close, saw other dog walkers and told them about Toby. Also met family out looking. Will try and get posters if I can later (no printer here) and can put these up later this evening when we walk frankie again. Instead of walking up to Harley Shute decided to divert round through reed beds to bottom of reedswood road. No sign of him I'm adraid. Heading out along Harley Shute now so will keep an eye out. Apparently the chap camping over there has moved on

Sharing everywhere I can think of.

Sally said she parked at the bottom of reedswood road and had walked to reed bed. Toby was spooked when they were returning to their car and he went back into the reed beds to the bridges. Am going to the marshes via heron close with frankie, apparently there is some guy camping there so if I see him I'll alert him to. Sally has also spoken to night fishermen at reservoir. Am hoping may be able to get some posters printed later.

Email received, will walk frankie this morning as am in area. Just trying to clarify if he was lost on the marshes/reed beds behind Reedswood road or on the filsham playing fields

Have been sent email advice out to Sally and called re Toby who was lost at 11am this morning.
Dog Wardens are aware.
Sally says she will comment on here to explain exactly where Toby was lost and also that there was a sighting in Harley Shute a little after he was lost.
Update: Have now spoken with Toby's owner who I have forwarded our advice emails to.
Sally was walking Toby and another of owner's dogs when he was scared by someone and he bolted. One of the dogs returned to Reedswood Rd where Sally's car was but Toby did not return to it. He was then seen in the area of the Harley Shute roundabout at about 1/2pm in the afternoon. Sally has been looking for Toby at Filsham Reed beds, Harley Shute reservoir and in Church in the Wood. She has been out until quite late searching but no sign of him yet.
Toby is only 10 months old and he lives in Beachy Head View, opposite Bannatynes on the Ridge/Beauport roundabout.
I have advised owners to leave bedding/unwashed clothing in garden in case he makes his own way home.
I have also suggested that owners get posters printed as soon as poss so that they can put them up in Harley Shute, Beauport, Filsham area etc tomorrow.
TK: Thanks, the dog found and handed in was unfortunately no Toby (it was apparently more white and fluffy and did not have a microchip or tag)

Just seen this post on Bexhill Dog Lovers fb page, hopefully the found dog is Toby ...

Very cute small terrier type dog taken to claremont vets today to try to find an identity chip, as it was picked up when wandering around. Don't know any more details but the person who found it was off to phone the dog warden. Well done to her for her good deed...she's a cat lover lol.

Email alert received TN37..
So sorry to see that Toby is missing. Please inform Dog Warden, they work 24 hours in the Hastings area. Also let South Coast vets on De La Warr Rd near Ravenside know, as they are open 24 hrs..
Dogs very often return to the spot they get lost from, so if you can check this area regularly and leave a blanket or similar at the spot and check regularly. If not far ftom home and he knows area he may try to make way home.
Stay safe little one, hope he will soon be found x
