STROUD District Council is asking local residents to track down the owner of a springer spaniel which was found neglected and injured in woods in Dursley. The elderly male spaniel, found near Bramble Drive had no identification tag or microchip however the council’s animal welfare officers are keen to trace the owner with a view to prosecuting them for animal cruelty. SDC dog warden, Josie Oak said: “A concerned member of the public found the dog and took it to Vale Vets for treatment.
