Come on Tyke! Had a chat with the dog wardens yesterday - nothing resembling Tyke has been taken in so he's still out there - will check the Notts Lane area's again today. Have some friends who work down at the railway and Britain Pit farm so have asked them to keep their eyes open. Fingers crossed for a safe return very soon!xxxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Hey Guys I can't make it over there at the moment, but has anyone tried Eastwood rescue centre, i know they've changed into a boarding kennels but people will still ring there, also he could have goneup through Notts lane up towards Riddings or down by Swanwick and butterly rail, is it worth giving them a call, to see if their guys working have seen anything!! Come home safe TykeLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Got phone access now - phoned the 0129877309 number, it is a florist shop, they still have the dog but it has no white on chest, and has a tail - so presumably not Tyke - but whose dog is it? They still have it in Buxton x xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Buxton quite a way from where lost but one never knows with dogs. No car this week so I cannot do it, but has a poster been put up at Jacksdale garden centre. Lots of folk go there and they seem very dog friendly. Did take a good drive around the area myself and spoke to various dog walkers who promised to keep an eye open for him. Was he walked far from home, perhaps he is trying to make his way back. Some of these dogs are good little trackers. Sylvie Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Hope the little fella is found soon. Keep going back to where he disappeared from he may back track to there. Leave some food there as well. Good he is chipped. Will keep a lookout for him from this end and tell my dog walking friends to do so as well. SylvieLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

As soon as Admin receives a photograph, the poster will be emailed out to helpers. Posters need to be displayed as soon as possible on notice boards, lamp posts, entrances to parks, dog bins and on cars. Take posters to vets, pet shops, postmen (for sorting offices), milkmen, dustmen, street cleaners, taxi drivers, schools, pubs, youth clubs, newsagents, post offices, takeaways, dog training clubs, supermarkets and car parks. Hand out reduced-down posters or cards to people - especially dog walkers - and deliver to houses and businesses. Police stations, Dog Wardens, the RSPCA and all rescue centres need checking frequently and preferably visited in person by owner or someone who knows Tyke well. Good Luck Tyke x Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
