MissingSox
Sorry to hear about your dog. My dog Sox a staffordhire bull terrier went missing on 22nd June 2006 from Gainsborough, DN21. Still not found. Recently in Thats Life magazine a lady from Oldham mentioned she had a staff named Sox. I know it's quite a way but you never know. I've emailed doglost site and they have managed to trace the ladies name to either OL4 & OL8. I know this might not be near your area but any help would be grateful. There is a picture of him in the lost section on the date & postcode i earlier mentioned. Many Thanks. Just really want a discription of this dog. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

i cannot believe the busdriver. i have had dogs stolen before and thought i was going to lose one of my shar peis this morning when the postman let it out the gate.whilst i was out scouring the streets somehow someone had shut her back in my garden, i dont know how they managed this as she is very aloof and wont come to anyone.i cannot believe my luck, as often the breed tend to just run and run.i really feel for you, will keep my eyes open and spread the word with other shar peopleLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Lost for words on this one.....can't imagine why any reasonable bus driver would firstly let a dog leave the bus without asking the passengers if anyone had lost their dog and secondly refuse to open the door to let the owner out. The bus driver is obviously a thoughtless idiot, but as BrodieMurphy said at least the owner has some idea of where to start postering. Might be worth contacting the bus company to see if, given the circumstances, they would allow posters of Brandy to be displayed inside the buses. Fingers crossed that she is safely home very soonxxxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Perhaps the owner should have a poster put up by the bus company in every bus and at each stop on that route xxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

What the!!!! Surely thats gotta be wrong!! I'm afraid my anger would have got the best of me and I'd have stopped the bus myself!! What an absolute idiot, definately take this matter further, that was a stupid and dangerous thing to do and even if Brandy is back very soon, pursue this matter as this 'driver' is a pillock! Come home quickly Brandy! xxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Am I reading this right.!! What on earth was the driver doing by opening the doors so Brandy could escape and then refusing to open them again so the owners could go after her. What a thoughtless, tactless thing to do.He obvously has his brains in his boots. I would definitely be inclined to take this incident further with the bus company. She could have injured herself just by jumping out of the moving vehicle let alone cause an accident. Please stay safe lovely girl until you are found.xxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

What a complete idiot of a bus driver - definitely complain as he should at least get a warning for that. What if Brandy had caused a road traffic accident due to his stupidity? Let alone anything happening to Brandy but what would he have done if people had been injured due to his irresponsibility? I'd be tempted to go to the local newspapers with this story or at least threaten to if you don't get satisfaction from the bus company. Hope she's okay and back home safe and sound very soon. Will see if she can go on the SPCGb website and will alert the list in case anybody hears anything.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Sadistic b.........d right enough. Most bus drivers are very thoughtful. Fingers crossed she turns up very soon. I suspect someone has her. It's a blitz postering job needed hereLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

What a b*****d of a bus driver!! Hope you find Brandy soon and I would put in a complaint about this driver to the bus company and that thier PR attitude stinks , Stay safe lovely girl. ChrisxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

What an awful story but at least the owner must know the area of where she went missing and someone is bound to have picked her up. Get a pic and poster like crazy although the fact that she has an id tag and is chipped should mean that whoever has her will know who to contact. Unfortunately, there can sometimes be a bit of a finders keepers mentality when it comes to finders so postering will help in that other people may identify her. Good luck. I hope Brandy is home very soon. Stay safe until you are found sweetheart xxxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

A photo of Brandy will be available soon. Will confirm date of disapearence as soon as possible. Brandy slipped from her owners grasp whilst in transit. The driver of the bus opened the doors and she ran out, the driver then refused to open the doors, so owner was unable to get to her. If you have any information please contact the owner on 01706 515900.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
