Hi all, thanks to all people who have notified us of the dog in Pill, Newport. Unfortunately he's not our Dax. So please, please no more information on this one if you'd be so kind

Also unfortunately one who was deceased on Harvey's Army Wales page...hope not bad news for you. Presumably also stolen and used for breeding by same people.

This dog was abandoned on Capel Crescent Pillgwenlly, Newport, by the nursery. Does anyone knows whose dog this is?
He has been collected by the police and taken to Summerhill Vets. Thank you to the group of residents who helped him also to the 2 officers who carefully put him in their van. People were openly crying at the state of this poor lad. He didn't get like that overnight, so someone left him to suffer appallingly before discarding him like an old shoe. Even though he was obviously in a lot of pain, and hungry he was still very trusting to the people who were helping him. I really hope whoever it is gets the punishment they so richly deserve.
I have phoned Summerhill and he is resting, warm and calm. They are going to treat his skin problem and his emaciation. I was unable to get any more information than that, but he is safe and warm.
Regarding earlier update - he is still at Summerhill, the RSPCA have been informed, he is now being treated with intravenous antibiotics to clear up his infected skin and he is comfortable.
Summerhill has had a lot of offers for donations to help with his care and treatment.
Anyone who knows the name of the 'owner' of this dog can contact Gwent Police on 101

Just in case. I was wondering if perhaps this might be your dog, he's a stray so may have lost a lot of weight.

this is the RSPCA Blackberry Farm F/Book Page https://www.facebook.com/pages/Rspca-Blackberry-Farm-Animal-centre/459084610787087?fref=ts - I saw a 'reply' that they had checked the Dog with DAX & didn't 'appear' to be the same but certainly must be checked by Dax's Owner ?
Male with white on chest found by RSPCA abandoned in Luton, tied to a lamp-post. They are appealing for info "We would urge anyone with any information to come forward and let us know, in confidence, on 0300 123 8018". Assume you could ring this number to find out more. Please check dog id 68199.
I agree, Dax's breed is very likely to be recorded incorrectly if found - this happens a lot in dogs homes, RSCPA etc (have owned 3 mastiff breeds myself and everyone calls them all Bull Mastiffs). Shall I poster in Ammanford area for you? SA18
