Thanks for the update. I hope his sore feet are better soon XX
Archie
I am the owner of Archie and am eternally grateful for everyone's help. All of your are so kind and generous and it is heartwarming to realise how many kind people there are out there. Archie has torn pads on three of his feet and a couple of broken toenails, otherwise is in good nick. He will chill out for about 4-5 days before I walk him again. What more can I say other than thank you, thank you. Connie

Brilliant news!!! So pleased that this gorgeous boy is safe. Charlotte you are a star!! Greyhounds are so loving & gentle and the poor lad is probably hugely relieved to be back in the comfort of his own home xxx
Sammie
Wonderful, thank you Lottie7 and all who helped find himx

I am so happy he has been found I was out with Laura last night searching. Thank you Charlotte that's made my day :-)
lottie7
Such a sweet dog too. As I drove past the vicars house in Eversley this morning I said a quiet prayer to the big man upstairs and within 5 minutes, there he was! It goes to show how much it helps to put up posters. When I was by the side of the road with Archie a truck driver stopped and said 'that's the dog on the posters'. I'm just so pleased that Archie was a gentle Greyhound and not a huge fierce dog. I might have thought twice about approaching a nervous dog with huge teeth!
Laura
Oh My God - I am soooooo HAPPY : ) Thank you Charlotte, I am personally eternally grateful x

ARCHIE HAS BEEN FOUND. I was looking for him this morning and saw something black curled up by a gate down a footpath track. It was him! So pleased. Luckily he was wearing a collar which I was able to hold when I gave him a treat. His owner has now got him and Archie has gone back home. I'm sure he will be very grateful to be home with such a caring owner. Charlotte xx

Latest sightings:
"On Monday evening there were sightings of Archie in the EVERSLEY CROSS area (I don't know the post code, RG something). He was seen in Marsh Lane (a turning off the B3272 where Eversley Cricket Ground is situated). Halfway up Marsh Lane, opposite Brooklands House is bolted down a footpath towards Shepherds Lane and Hollybush Lane. This information has only just come in so I am now headed off to this area to hit it with posters and to call for Archie. I would be very grateful if you could pass this information on as I want to go out now."

Laura
Thank you soo much everyone for your help and support. I am the Dorset and Hampshire - Regional Homing Officer for Greyhound Rescue West of England (GRWE)It is my mobile number on here and the owners home number (just incase of any confusion (which is why I have changed my profile name too) We have been searching for Archie all day with no sightings since yesterday. The area is so vast so if people can poster that would be of great help and keep a look out whilst your out walking etc. We have no idea where he is, so very hard to search the area. Posters have been put at Cricket Hill - between the 2 roundabouts. Along the B3272 Eversley RD (from The Link to where the road meets the A327. Also around Moor Green Lakes (popular with Dog Walkers) and also started the opposite side of the road (around the housing estates) From the Post Office it looks like he tried to make his way home but missed the turning! We have been around Fox lane but obviously not knowing if he turned off the main road or not. The owner has been into the Frog and Wicket with a poster too. Come on Archie, show yourself so we can come and get you!!!
Sammie
Electronically we have notified other Greyhound rescue / sites (with the help of Lilybear), his fb posting on GRWE has 322 shares and I have started a map of the sightings which I can share once I have the location of home and where he went from to see if there are any trends.
Nikki - good idea thank you.
Lottie7 & Sammy, thank you for the posts, keep them coming if you hear of any more or see them on FB (you can pm on FB via the Doglost South West Page).
Nikki
hi i dont know if this helps but i facebooked the manager of the frog and wicket sent him the link of the poster and explained what happened if he saw anything or customer said anything. ive also shared on FB

One thing I love about living in Yateley is how friendly everybody is. I think we could get plenty of people looking for Archie. I have shared on my Facebook page so hopefully more people are already looking. xx
Lilybear
I see there is good support on the GRWE fb page. When once searching for a lost grey he repeatedly showed himself lunchtimes at a pub, could smell cooking and close to a boarding kennel where he seemed to find comfort, the kennel staff eventually captured him. Will continue sharing. Wishing Archie safely home.

TX Riverlady for geting the tweets out....

Tx Everyone!

I'll spread the word around the Primary School in Eversley and the pre-school. I looked in Yateley late this afternoon but after the sighting in Eversley it might be wise to head that way too. I can pop out this evening and look around Eversley.
Sammy
I saw the posters!
Laura
We have been all around the area from the pub to warbrook manor but no signs, too many woodlands around. Have put some posters up but will need more.
Sammy
Archie was heading towards the frog and wicket, there was about 8 cars following him just before fox lane, I have been in contact with lottie7. Thought I might take a walk in the area, is there anywhere that hasn't been checked?
DogLostJayne - Founder Doglost.
Tx Sammy...do you know which direction the car was heading that stopped please?

I did see Archie yesterday he was trotting down the main Eversley road towards the frog and wicket at about 4.40pm I couldn't stop but as I went past i thought a lady on the other side stopped and got out the car, I don't know what happened after that. I hope you find him soon.
Sammie
Lottie7 and anyone else that can help - the owner (and myself) do not have access to your phone number or email so can I ask you to send a text message to laura on 07855 449492 offering help? She was going out to search again this pm.
Thank you.
lottie7
I live in Yateley and am happy to help you search for Archie. I will share this with my friends in Yateley/Eversley. I'm sure he'll turn up soon. Let me know if I can help in anyway.

I think my friend Serena saw him just past the Frog and wicket in Eversley at around 4.40pm yesterday, heading towards Yateley i think. I have facebooked her to ask her to comment on this page with the exact details. Am happy to take my greyhound down that way today and see if he can tempt him out. Let me know if you have any more sightings so that i can head for the best area. Hope he is found safe soon.
