hi we went to wales to see my brother and every staffy that looked white we had to go and check there were loads of dog owners just leaveing there dogs out side the shop on there own we couldnt beleave it when we said to them about the dogs that have been stolen they just didnt care in fact i got a mouth full of one man when i said he shouldnt ty his little staffy up and leave it when he went shopping it makes me so made

I'm ok thanks, better if Tara was home, like you would be, not sure where you live but if you live up North, there is a Horsefair near Leeds on Sept 18th, a man has been selling dogs there, thought to be stolen ones, if you can, it would be worth going there with posters of Tara, making more people aware of her being missing. I have asked others to take her poster with them if they are attending it, thinking of Tara everyday, Jo x

in the early stage we went up to hull and found the man then called nick maze from our dogs who helped a great deal with pushing the police there was myself and my step sis and when the police turned we got asked to leave hull for our safety and not bug the man could not beleve it so you tell me trust the police no chance time and time again they let us down and all we whont is our dogs back but to much paper work it only a dog b..........

Jacqui, I've not long joined doglost and have just been reading about your horrible year and a half! I wish I was nearer so that I could help you but I live in Edinburgh. I am so sorry for everything you've had to go through, from losing your dad to the vile calls and the ignorance of the police. I am hoping and praying that Tara is returned safe and soon. It's wonderful that the person with sighting has logged in thankyou there are so many of us praying she is back with her family , but as other people know this nasty person hurt tara's son when he stole her and if he see's posters up in shops lampposts etc. he will move her quickly, hopefully notifying the right authorities will bring positive news, fingers crossed he's not monitoring this site anymore.......... take care jacqui.......

It was me who contacted you re. the sighting in Hull. To clarify for those who also live in Hull, the dog who I believe to have been Tara was sighted in East Park on the day of the Lord Mayor's Parade - 17th June. I know that posters, etc. have gone out to vets/rescues/police in Hull, but have they gone to surrounding areas - Hessle, Cott, Beverley, etc? This might be worth pursuing since there are so many surrounding areas still often classed as "Hull". I'll be keeping a close look out from now on. Fingers crossed that Tara can be returned to her home.

I am so glad tara is back on first page, i have been thinking about you constantly lets hope the horrible person has stopped monitoring this page so doesnt know about this latest info (don't want her moved again) as she was probably kept hidden for a while , if she was being walked she must be local to where seen couldnt this person who saw her follow very very discreetly not to house just to area , also notify all hull dog wardens again and local smaller police stations not just main , just so it has been updated she is still stolen, and send poster to all vets again. come home baby..........

So sorry for what you are going through, when you mean lough do you mean louth in Lincolnshire. I'm in Lincoln i have only been to Louth once but will keep a look out, also have you sent info to all the staffy clubs in the country, poor tara she must be bewildered hope she is home soon.

how i first new of this man was my mate in london that bred and show staffys for over 20 years had nown of him and he all ways whonted a puppy of her line but i had the only bitch left out of her line as ill health had stoped them so she past my number on to him and it all started from there but the more i new of him the less i liked him so he never had a puppy any way one day he asked if i had or was going to breed tara and i said no that i was going to get her done thats when he came down and stolen her he even rang me 4 time at night to see where i was on the night they came down and i told the police this but they said it would cost to much to check where he phoned me from so whot i need is some one up there

Jacqui, it was been proven that you have to pester the police, day after day, please do this. As you know where this man lives, catch him by surprise, when he least expects you, take pictures of Tara or any evidence if you can get any. How did he get ur phone number by tbe way? i will never give up on my baby it hurts so much when you feel that you are on your own and the death of my dad just a few months ago we as a family are trying to hang on but some times just sit and cry and say why us all we have in our life is our animals and each other and to have a scum bag do this to us and get away with it the ploice have proved over and over again that they are not bothered

There are some very unsavoury people about - and it hurts more when it's your home town they are living in. Haven't stopped thinking about Tara, and will continue to keep my eyes open for her. Was back and forth from Haywood - Rugeley - Hednesford - Cannock and the Chase last week and I was giving every staffy seen the once over. please look on nellies site iam vrey pleased to say we have one of our girls back nellie was seen walking around not 10 miles from us but in good shape with new coller on so we think she has goten out from someone that has bought her then found her way out the dog warden found her scaned her and the rest is history and she is back with my daughter and her partner rob thank you for all your help but dont give up as we still have poor tara some where come home baby me miss you so much and you would be so proud of your little boy now he was such a weak puppy and now he so strong but still gose in to your bed every night to smell your blanket then lies down and goes to sleep we have bought him new beds but he only whonts to sleep with you so come home we miss more to day than we did yesterday mommy

I suggest that if you get another lead you LIE to the police to get them to come out quickly - what about notifing them anonymously that theres a big drug deal going down? After all some junkies getting their fix is SO much more important that us getting our dogs back, bet they'd be at the address in seconds. Or get the RSPCA involved - tell them there are dogs at the address being mistreated, they have to then investigate. I wish I lived closer so I could help. hi to everyone sorry havent been on but got rushed to hospital with a clot in my leg think everything is ok have the nurse coming in every day as couldnt stay in as my dogs and whots been going on so far the police will not help me with cctv at all and when i went round and asked next doors if they had seen them they hadnt even went to ask them anything and the one had hered a van pulling off but the police didnt even ask they are just not bothered about us at all

hi jayne thanks cant go to bed sleeping down stairs with all my dogs with me to night the thought of going to sleep scares the livein day lights out of me u no the whot if he comess back whot if hes got mates with him going to get megan to stay at her nans she cant face it and she is olny 11 why are we havein to live like this they are not going to win i will see it through to the end and make them pay and to top it off i had 2 little cross breed pups as well to look after they are very pritty bless them oh well whots 2 more to munch

Hi Jacqui, It was me who sent you the pm yesterday. I was only replying to the one you sent me. Basically just reiterating how important it is to keep on putting posters up! Sooner or later Tara will be seen by a member of the public who hopefully will recognise her from a poster! Your latest posting is reallly worrying! Surely the Police can install you with a panic button in your house or cctv - I know that they are in their powers to do that. I really would let then know just how terrified you are. Thinking of you and I hope you are getting support from family, friends and neighbours! Good luck.

hi this is jacqui iv just had to have the police around as at 4.25am someone put a brick through my bedroom window glass every where .iam so scared dont no whot or where to go with my little girl i feel that iam liveing in fear all the time if not to get my other dogs but for us now whenis it going to end dont no how much more we can take . the only thing i can think off i must be pissing someones plans about with tara if any one can think of any thing i can do pleaes tell me

hi this is jacqui just a note to let u no whots going on at min last week we had a siteing of tara in louth in lincolnshire so i phoned the police tosee whot they could do and they said that i was best going up there on my own finding tara then callin the police up there and when i said that i would be on my own it made no diffrence so i went a good mate came with me we sat out side and seen a few staffys but not tara we called the man that saw her and asked how many dogs had he saw and he said 5 after 2hours the police turned up and was told that there was only 4 there when we asked where the other dog was they started to shout at us and the police asked us to leave not finding out where the 5th dog was so we are back to the start .There is a good bit about tara in our dogs this week on page8 abig thank you to NICK MAYSfor the help u have givein me and my family and my now the papers are following your lead there is a bit going into the RUGELEY POST so dont give keep looking please jacqui and megan

Hi again,after reading all the sites for Tara I am appalled about the lack of support from the police,yet again. You should write to the cheif of police in your area and demand a responce. Tara's owner - I have only just read 'Tara's page' and I'm horrified at what has been happening! I'm sorry that I can be of no help as I live in Surrey. To have Tara stolen and then an attempted theft of the remaining dogs is just dreadful! May well be worth keeping the dogs in the house with you or having CCTV set up by their kennels until Tara's thief is caught. Even having a few signs put up saying 'CCTV Under serveilance' could act as a deterent. These can be bought over the counter at high street sign makers shops. How depressing that the police have been useless. All the best luck in the world in getting Tara back!!

Owner had an attempted theft on her remaining dogs last night-both padlocks has been cut off with a bolt cutter-but the dogs barking alerted her daughter who called the police-only to be told they had no one available!!!

to everyone that is following my dogs story the police have been compleatly useless by the time they got there tara had been moved, We were in the car ready to fetch her when we had the call that they had messed up, so we are back at square one and compleatly devistated, we think she is now in season and after she produces any puppies she will be destroyed,so we have about six weeks to find her, please please if you know anything just leave me a message,thanks again Jacqui

Another policeman has been assigned to this case and is going to Yorkshire tomorrow-they now realise they can arrest this guy for handling stolen goods-ie the dog-so what took them so long? Have they finally realised dogs come under the sale of property act? DOG THEFT IS CRIMINAL!!

After locating where Tara was-owner called for police assistance-to be told they did not have the man power available-However after a journalist rang the Police -they conveniently found some man power-but alas too late-Tara had been moved as owner had told them earlier when she was pleading with them to go to this address! If anyone is from the North Lincs area and want to help please pm me.
