- Well after a convoluted discussion with out of hours DW on Saturday, a further conversation with the Dog Warden help desk, plus one long one with the rescue , II am pleased to see Bridget home safe - I will support owner with a letter,as Bridget was microchipped with all details current. Owner spent over 3 hours searching for her not knowing that she had been scooped, scanned and placed into rescue! What really should have happened is a call made to the owner as soon as the scan identified the owner - many times we have done this and try our very best to reunite a lost dog timely ….had that happened for Bridget, she would have been reunited on Friday and with a mere fine. The system needs a review and I hope Bridget’s case of remaining in a kennel until today will enable a better process for any dog found in the same predicament. Welcome on Bridget 🐾💙🐾

- Spoken with WC this morning who are trying to charge us £170 and saying Bridget will become property of CBC if not paid for by 16th May. They couldn’t explain to us why we were not called when she was picked up. We are trying to raise a complaint as we shouldn’t have to pay that and we don’t have the funds to pay it.

- We believe Bridget is at CAS but I will ascertain situation with owner on Monday - owners have been looking everywhere and with an immediate call from DW when scanned on Friday could have avoided the heartache to a young family 🐾⚖️🐾

- Bridget is being held by Cheltenham animal shelter who refuse to give her back. We have to go through Worcester council dog warden who do not do reunions over the weekend.
