- Sadly, Gus escaped his foster home again on Friday 11th April and remains loose. His record has been moved back to Lost and his foster is in contact with his rescue

- I am delighted to say that Gus was successfully trapped at 3am this morning and we have now returned him to his very relieved foster family. Massive thanks as always to the local community for allowing us to place our cameras, feeding stations and equipment on their land and for calling in all important sightings that allowed us to ensure we were able to secure Gus safely

- Thank you for update Rachel.

- Thanks to the last commenter - Gus' whereabouts are known and we are working to secure him - this is quite a complex process and is taking us some time as is normal with dogs like Gus but I can confirm that we are working incredibly hard and using lots of equipment to secure him. If you can continue to report sightings to the poster numbers it does help us to understand his movements in proximity to our equipment.
To be clear, Gus will not be secured by hand - he must not be approached, called or chased. We are working to safely secure him but every time that someone comes into his space or interacts with him, it delays our efforts to secure himLast edited: 2025-04-03 20:59:43 by RachelG - Somerset Volunteer - 2025-04-03 19:37 Unknown

- Gus continues to feed at our feeding stations and a plan is in place to secure him. He will not be secured by hand and it is vital that people continue to ignore him if sighted, and instead just report the time and location to the poster number please. Many thanks to the community locally for supporting us and allowing placement of our equipment.

- Chat setup with local helpers and foster family - Gus has once again tried to approach his foster home, he absolutely must not be actively searched for or approached by strangers. Likely that cameras and feeding stations will be deployed later today with intent to hand secure or allow him to enter home under own steam from foster family

- Owner consent given for mobile number to be added to poster - it is imperative that people quickly call in sightings rather than attempting to secure Gus

- Have messaged owner asking her to ping me a photo so that I can update main poster image - it is key that posters go up asap so that people stop chasing Gus and he is allowed to return home safely

- Sorry to see that GUS is missing.
- If your dog is microchipped please let the microchip company know that your dog is missing and check that all details are up to date.
- Owners targeted by a malicious hoaxer demanding money for the return of their dog should phone the police on 101 immediately and contact admin@doglost.co.uk
- A photograph of your dog is essential for the website. If you have not already uploaded one, please do so by clicking on Update details. Alternatively you can email it to admin@doglost.co.uk quoting the dog's DogLost ID number: (197204)
