- Assume all outbuildings checked several times at the time Thistle went awol, as cats can stay very still, amd quiet when trapped. They are renowned for it. Bear in mind too that cats have very flexible spines so they can squeeze through very narrow spaces (About 3" wide) so has he managed to climb into a partially opened window, and is now trapped? Exiting can be more difficult; it depends on the drop. Put his UNWASHED blanket into a clean container, and leave in the garden in a sheltered spot. You can leave out his litter tray, but beware other cats may use it. Take good walks around the area holding an object with his scent on, and rattle some Dreamies; someone may be feeding Thistle (Common problem) Try a squeaky toy too. Is there a dominant cat in the area, as sometimes they will chase a less confident cat out of it`s own territory; however the chased cat will not return until the think it`s "Safe" enough for them to do so. Poster around the area, and post flyers through doors too. Paws, and fingers xd.
