Just in case
This evening had more specific information from the bus driver who sighted Poppy on day 1 ( 10th January )on A1. Poppy bolted from Tempsford Green onto A1to it now appears she first ran southwards on the paved side of the road towards Stirling corner near Morrissons Borehamwood -but then ran acrosss the road to the central reservation & raced back up the A1 northwards towards South Mimms ( perhaps to look for a way to exit.) The bus driver states
"I was pulling out onto the A1 next to the hotel travelling to south Mimms. As I was pulling out ( Poppy ) she ran across the road onto the central reservation on my side of the road and continued to run towards south Mimms. 3/4 cars and an ambulance stopped to try to catch her - " she speculates that someone may have picked her up -the nearest area to come off the A1 there is on the right side Rowley Sports Ground - Arkley Open Space very large areas to cover.
