R I P gorgeous girl 💔😪 - 2021-10-05 08:36 Bo
- Tragically this young dog was PTS. What a waste of a life. 💔
From the fund raising page “ I’m so very sad to say that Poppy has passed away. Her injuries to her head were too severe and she passed away this afternoon. Everything was done to save her. Poppy is now at peace and running happily through those meadows up there
Run free and play happily forever and always Poppy. You will never be forgotten and you are in so many people’s hearts ♥️
Please respect her family’s privacy at this very sad time.
I apologise for not being able to update sooner but as I’m sure you are aware, this was entirely out of my hands with Facebook being down (as I typed the update and pressed ‘save’, my Facebook froze).
Thank you so very much for your very generous donations. You have been so very kind and Poppy’s family are humbled with everyone’s generosity. I have stopped the fundraiser and will update you regarding this tomorrow.
Greater Manchester Lost Dog Search and Rescue Capture Team have been involved with helping cocker spaniel Poppy, who slipped her collar and bolted, in Westhoughton, on Thursday 30 September.
Poppy was found today, Sunday 3 October, curled up on the railway track. It appears that she has been hit by a train. She was taken straight to the emergency vets. She is unresponsive although her vital signs are good. Poppy has got a head trauma and everything is being done to reduce the swelling. We will update once we know more but there could be internal injuries too.” Last edited: 2021-10-05 08:38:54 by Bo - 2021-10-04 19:34 Vizslamum

- This has absolutely gutted me. What a rollercoaster for her poor family. Everyone was so generous on the gofundme too. I hope that that, along with all the heartfelt condolences, brings them some peace.Last edited: 2021-10-05 02:02:22 by Mand61123
