Great outcome for a lovely dog. Happy Christmas Ollie you've fallen on your paws with your new owner.

A very happy ending for little Golly, now I believe to be called Ollie. I'm sure he will be enjoying life in his new home. X

Bobble Thank you for the update. I had over 5,300 shares on my post on FB to try and locate the owners of this dog. Wishing Golly all the best in his loving new home :) x

Thanks, Louise yes he's got a great home.

Golly was found by a member of the public and taken to the vet to have his scan checked. He was added to DogLost as found. When they'd not managed to contact the registered keeper on the microchip, one of the vets who checked him over arranged to foster him whilst his owner was searched for. The dog warden was alerted and regular attempts to contact the owner were made, including sending a letter to the registered address. The vet managed to get in touch with the registered keeper who advised he'd been sold to a traveller. His microchip had not been updated. Working with the dogwarden the vet who was fostering him has given him a loving home. So Golly is now going to the blue :)

Thank you everyone who helped.

According to a screenshot I was sent, this baby has now been rehomed. x

I only ask because there is no mention of the Dog Warden being involved
DogLostBobble - Area Co-ordinator - Somerset & East Sussex
Yes, we do know what to do! He has been notified to our warden and he is being kept safe in a home rather than go to a pound kennel.

As mentioned below, I have also let CJ know about this Cocker.

Why is the finder writing to the address? Has the dog warden been notified as that is his responsibility? Where is the dog now?
HelperSky's AngelsLouise
If this baby not claimed one of my members from my group would like to adopt please. Many thanks.
Lily
Okay Thankyou.
I was just wondering as someone has posted it on Doglost wales group, and captioned “CARDIFF” thought it was in my area.

Thankyou.
DogLostBobble - Area Co-ordinator - Somerset & East Sussex
No, Lily as below its an out of area address.

I cross-referenced lost Cockers in that area and I've alerted CJ to this little dog.
Lily
Is the microchip address the same area as he was found in?
DogLostBobble - Area Co-ordinator - Somerset & East Sussex
Number registered with microchip provider is unresponsive.

Out of area address registered.

Finder is kindly writing to the address.

ChoccyMonster
Do you have any information from the microchip re. the owner? He looks so much like our lost Dixie who is registered to this site. I'd been very glad if you could let me have any further information so I can come down off the ceiling with hope ! xxx
