Croydon police have posted on their facebook page that the two dogs rescued from Star Lane Orpington (that look like Bertie) are both chipped and are confirmed to not be Bertie. Thank goodness they will be returned to their owners.

Please keep looking for Bertie.
has bertie been checked to see if one of these dogs not forgetting chips can be removed https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10158420497930395&set=pcb.10158420500655395&type=3&theater

janiejewel1649 Bertie is still missing. Their twitter account is very active: "@Bertie_is" if you're on there.

Their cover photo also shows how Bertie may look now if he hasn't been groomed.

It's been 2 months now since Bertie went missing. His coat will have grown back again. Is there a photo of what he would look like now he's possibly ungroomed?

Damn, gutted to hear that, although obviously pleased that another dog has been reunited with its worried owners, it looked so much like Bertie! Hope there is positive news to report soon.

Please if anyone has any infomation of where Bertie is, or maybe you, or someone you know has bought a dog resembling Bertie in good faith as Jenny4 has commented you will not be in any trouble. NHS Doctors are under a lot of stress, epoecially in these very difficult times. So please help reunite Bertie with his rightful owner, who must be really missing her companion. You can either phone the owner on the above number, or if you prefer contact Doglost with any iformation you may have. It will be treated in the strictest of confidences; that`s reassured. Please help lessen the stres that Bertie`s owner must be under. THANK YOU X

Just joined as have seen all the wonderful work done on here. Bertie went missing near to where I live and my partner is out with our five little Jackapoos (not all at once lol) at least three times a day, he is keeping his eyes peeled for Bertie, we will try and help to do anything we can. Find your way home Bertie, your mum and dad are so very worried, it actually physically hurts to think what they are going through xx
Could Bertie have been stolen?

This dog appears to be lost running around three cliffs valley and Sandy Lane. It’s barking and looks like it’s searching for it’s owner. It has a collar and tag with a bell but wouldn’t let me close enough to take a look ☹️
Try Piers Morgan on his morning TV show , he has Sussex connections.Last edited: 2020-04-27 21:37:07 by Nina
Presume posters have been put up posters in the area, and posted flyers through doors too. Post in shops; post offices too. Post a LOST DOG in a National newsper too. Try a Radio/TV appeal too. Paws xd.
Shared on every dog related Face Book page I could think of, I just hope he is found safe and well, please keep updated :( I feel your pain
Does anyone know if Bertie would respond to a squeaky toy. Has anyone given owner instructions on the scenting method of leaving a urine trail for Bertie to follow back home.

Copied from Bertie’s page

Siobhan wanted me to tell everyone how overwhelmed and humbled she is with the unbelievably fantastic response that everyone has shown, it is appreciator much. Until there is a sighting please can I ask that people continue to do their walking, remembering that I’d Bertie is spotted, do not approach or shout his name, just ring Siobhan straight away. Also it is worth downloading the What3Words App in case you are in an unfamiliar place and need to let people know where you are.
I have Tweeted for Bertie, for his Dad.
Praying that Bertie will soon be Sighted again Do not Chase ....but Sightings Called in .. Last edited: 2020-04-25 20:58:48

According to a post on Facebook, someone said they'd seen Bertie twice yesterday in Telscome Village. They had tried to catch him but he was running and looking distressed:-(
I understand his owners are aware.
Please, please, if you see him, do not try to catch him but call owners with the sighting.
