There were dogs seized from a puppy farm in Scotland last year....police and rescues have said none were stolen though if only chips were relied on not sure how they can be sure. No details were released until ITV did a piece this month. Spaniel type dog found. Sorry photo not great & gender not confirmed. Taken to a Vet's in Whitley near Godamining, Surrey.
Dog looks like it has been out for some time.

Worth checking with Suffolk Police at Martlesham Heath Station as 84 dogs have been recovered from an Ipswich site they are checking the chipped dogs first to try to get them home where they belong and loved

Following the recent police operation in Orpington, 17 dogs have been found & confirmed or suspected to be stolen, - look on fb page for Croydon Police or Call 101 @MetCC and quote Op Medusa - there are a couple of dogs similar to yours

Eleanor, try the link I've included here. if the link below isn't working, try searching for the catleycrossveterinaryclinic FB page, they have quite a few pictures of lost dogs they have previously tried to match with owners. The found cocker spaniel does bear a strong resemblance to April. I've just seen the post for the dog being sold as a cockerpoo on Schpock. Like JJ I think it is quite possible they have dyed the dogs hair more black.
Needs checking because dog looks older than 3yrs old

I have just seen this post and opinion is that the ad is dodgy, posted as a cockerpoo but looks like full spaniel. I think the fur looks as if it could have been dyed too, so might be worth checking. https://www.facebook.com/groups/FindCookie/permalink/185432562334254/

I would check dragondriving, donedeal, preloved and gumtree. Also worth having a look at where the traveller sites are in the north east. Many around your are within a 20-30 mile radius. Good luck and I pray you get your beautiful spaniel home safe and sound xx

I’ve emailed a photo, yes we have a crime number. She wasn’t in her kennel after a few hours of putting her to bed, 3 bolts had been opened and another dog left. She could be missing I suppose but looking doubtful now.
