Have you tried getting in touch with the Spenborough Guardian? I've notice some of the shops on Bradford Road no longer have the poster up. If there have been sightings at Hightown near the post office have you tried contacting R M Grylls school on the Windy Bank Esatate and also the first school at the top of Hightown Road. Don't give up she is out there somewhere, somebody just needs to see the posters in the right place. Lots of love Tracy x x x Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Sorry there's no news white - the posters coming down could mean that someone nearby has her, ask local businesses to display a poster and ask if you can hand out at markets, car boot sales etc, local press too.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Hi Claire, just a short message to say my son and I drove through the estate yesterday early evening looking for Lulu. My son also drove there yesterday pm . We will keep looking out for Lulu! If you need anything you have my number. My husband has a friend who lives in Hightown Road - will tell him to keep an eye out. I think his partner works at Heckmondwike post office so I will ask him to give her a poster if they haven't already got one. Take care!! x x x Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Spoken to owner, some of the reported sightings have been early in the morning and are approx 2 miles from her home. They have been out at various times looking for her and are postering the area, which is not far from a built up council estate. Owner will update later. Jan xxxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Whereabouts is the park at Hunsworth - I presume it's not the one at the corner of Hunsworth Lane and Bradford Road at Moorend? Was she on her own? x x x Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Just an update. We have had an other Lulu sighting in the park at Hunworth. When we arrived this morningthe dog had gone. Hunsworth park is one of the places we walked Lulu so it could of been her. I have found some clearer photo's of Lulu which I will post on the site early next week. Take Care xx Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Have you thought about contacting the Spenborough Guardian and the Reporter group to ask if they would mind doing a small piece about Lulu. I'm sure they need ideas for filling their paper and this is a very worthwhile story. Let's face it there's nothing much in the Spen Guardian these days!! Still looking out for Lulu! Love Tracy x x Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Yes Lulu's main colour is white, just a quick update. A lady phone last night to say she had seen a dog fitting lulu's description near mirfield, when we got there it turned out to be a garage owners dog. I had started to wonder if the poster's were working. So although it wasnt the out come we had wanted it has restored some faith. I would like to thank the lady for phoning. Take care xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Is her main colour white though? xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

The colouring is a difficult one because when she's been cut short the patches are black but the longer her coat gets the patches seem to turn grey.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
Tracy2306
Just a thought but do you think the details on the poster could be made clearer regarding the colour. I am told that Lulu is white with tan ears and grey-black patches on her back. As she looks grey in the poster I thought it might be worth adding this on. Claire, I work in a chemical firm in Wyke with a few hundred employees who live all over the area and there is a poster up at work too. I have been trying to add onto the posters her colouringx x x Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Last night I put poster in Moorend chippy and lots of bus shelters and the park there. Also thought it be worth a try and put some up in Oakenshaw by the park. Don't really know Cleck that well so went up a few streets from the main road and put posters up them (next to missing posters of a parrot). Saw some other posters don't know who did them but look very good all laminated. Going walking with a friend tonight will put some up in Scholes. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Can anyone tell me where they've postered. I've seen about three in the car park/Yorkshire bank area of Cleckheaton. Was on the bus to work this morning and couldn't see any in Moorend. Son now has a poster for the local Royal Mail office, husband taken one to work in Gomersal and should be able to poster later.x x x Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Hi I don't live far away and I believe Moorend is literally the area just off Chain Bar roundabout. I will go down there and put up posters. There are also a few businesses in the area I'll go to and sports centres alsoTescos is near and I think Whitcliffe Mount which is used by the public a lot. Have also forwarded to friends who live in the area.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

As soon as Admin receives a photograph, the poster will be emailed out to helpers. Posters need to be displayed as soon as possible on notice boards, lamp posts, entrances to parks, dog bins and on cars. Take posters to vets, pet shops, postmen (for sorting offices), milkmen, dustmen, street cleaners, taxi drivers, schools, pubs, youth clubs, newsagents, post offices, takeaways, dog training clubs, supermarkets and car parks. Hand out reduced-down posters or cards to people - especially dog walkers - and deliver to houses and businesses. Police stations, Dog Wardens, the RSPCA and all rescue centres need checking frequently and preferably visited in person by owner or someone who knows Lulu well. Stay safe Lulu, until you are home x Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Have told teh owner as soon as a pciture is available I will give one to my son who works at the local Royal mail office so it can be displayed there. My husband will also display one where he works in Gomersal and then there's the obvious shops, milkmen, binmen, businesses.
