๐Ÿ’ฅ๐Ÿ’ฅ DANA STILL MISSING - JUNE 18TH 2016 ๐Ÿ’ฅ๐Ÿ’ฅ

I just cannot believe it has been 5 years already since our beautiful Dana went missing. Sometimes I think it is still a dream (albeit a very bad one) and that this was something that happened to someone else...

After all his time, I feel I just don’t have the words and watching her video again, the tears start to flow. If I could go back to that day, I would have stayed at home, kept her so close to me and never let her go.

I can still remember that terrible sick feeling in my stomach and how my heart sank when Paul rang me to say Dana had gone missing. And the total feeling of despair all that weekend, looking for Dana all night and day, hoping that she will find her way back or that someone had picked her up and would take her to a vets to be checked for her chip. But that never happened....

And 5 years on, the pain and despair are still there and that terrible sick feeling too, when I think back to that day.

But we cannot give up. So the search and the hope continue. Our wonderful Freddy may no longer be with us to welcome her home, but she still has loving and very caring family who desperately want her back home.

Please help us get Dana home by sharing her video on her Facebook group (@GetDanaHome) and looking out for her.

Thank you

DANA STILL MISSING - 40 MONTHS - SINCE JUNE 18TH, 2016

Our beautiful Dana is still missing and no matter how many days, weeks and months go by, we still cannot believe that this has happened to our family and that she is still not with us, at home.

We still believe that she is alive and being taken in by someone. We hope with all our hearts that they are looking after her well.

They will not know that she came all the way from Serbia, that she is a little afraid of strangers, that there is a little dog called Freddy at home who still wonders where she is and, that most of all, she is still very much missed and loved by us all!

Dana may be with a family who still do not know who she is... But if they know that she is Dana and still will not report her found to the proper authorities, they are guilty of Theft By Finding! They must do the right thing and give her back to her proper family!

Please help us still keep Dana in people’s minds and hearts by looking out for her!

As always, thank you for you love and care! Paul and I will always be grateful.

Dana’s appeal appeared in The Sun online

Dear Dog Lost Volunteers

I want to do something pro-active for Dana's upcoming 3rd Anniversary.

As much as I wish she will be found before then, I want to be prepared, just in case...

I would like to do a flier drop in Langley, on as many houses as possible during the week of her anniversary, starting from Saturday, June 15th. I would also like to have her poster displayed in various parts of Langley. I still have this feeling that Dana is being kept close by or that someone local knows what has happened to her. So I want to give this one big push, just in case.

This is where I will need your help! If you live in or near Langley, are available and would like to help, please let me know! There are several things you can do, depending on how much free time you may have:
1) You can give out some leaflets throughout that week, as and when you are free, in your particular road
2) You put a poster up in your house window for the week or longer
3) You can display a poster in your car for the week or longer

It might be easier if you can go to Dana's Facebook page for further information and also because I have attached the poster and a map of Dana's sightings, areas which I would like covered at the very least.
https://www.facebook.com/GetDanaHome

However, if you do not live near Langley, and would like to help, you still can! You can download the picture poster also attached to the FB post and send it via email to your nearest Vet and Animal shelter/sanctuary to make them aware of Dana and ask them to keep Dana on their records as a missing dog and possible victim of Theft by Finding. I already regularly send emails to Vets and Animal shelter/sanctuaries within about a 30 to 50 mile radius of Langley, so the immediate area is covered.

Thank you all once more so very much for still being here and still hoping and helping us get Dana Home! We will NOT give up and still believe Dana is out there and close!

xxx

It is coming up to her 2 year anniversary - I still cannot believe she is still missing after all this time but I am determined not to give up hope and will at least keep her circulating online as missing. Local'ish Vets and animal rescue centres will be notified as usual.

Thank you as always for your continued support! ๐Ÿ’–

Dana is still missing.

Just to let you all know that I have been back to Langley yesterday to post new fliers though doors and put up fresh posters - I hope they will last through this rain and not be taken down by the jobsworth Slough Council! ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿคž

I will continue to cover more of Langley and then try Iver, over the next couple of weeks.

I have also emailed various vets and rescue centres around Langley and further afield, with a new poster.

โ€ชHAPPY BIRTHDAY DANA! WE MISS YOU SO MUCH!

โ€ชJanuary 18th marks 19 months since Dana went missing. This day and month is not though, just any other day or month since Dana went missing from her family. For this day is also her 4th birthday.โ€ฌ

โ€ชWe cannot believe that yet another birthday has gone by without her and that in fact we have never celebrated a birthday with her! โ€ฌ
โ€ช โ€ฌ
โ€ชOur hearts are broken because yet again we cannot celebrate a birthday with her. But every day since Dana went missing, she has always been in our hearts and minds. We have never given up hope of getting her back and know that her many followers have also never given up hope!โ€ฌ

โ€ชWe desperately need for whoever may be keeping her to know how much heartache and sadness they are causing us! They need to take her to a vet or dog Warden to be scanned! They need to give her up and let her be returned to to her true family!โ€ฌ
โ€ช โ€ฌ
โ€ชPlease share her new video far and wide in the hope that it will reach the one person (possibly even more) who will know where she is and who may have her! We cannot bear another day without her but especially we cannot bear missing any more special days like her birthday, our birthdays, holidays and Christmas! We do not want to miss losing out on her growing up and changing! We do not want to miss out on any more memories we could be making with Dana, Freddy and Mitzi as a family!โ€ฌ

Sorry to take so long but I can now confirm that the sighting of JRT at the Toby was NOT Dana... So the search continues. Thank you again for everyone's care and support. xxx
Michele
So following some new posts and another message just received this evening from a kind lady, a small, curly haired white and tan JRT has been seen on Saturday and earlier today, near to or by the Toby.

When I spoke to the Manager of the Toby, he told me that the only dog seen wandering around the Toby in the past couple of years was an older, small, curly haired dog but he hadn't seen this dog lately.

Dana is a short haired smooth coated dog but it's not massively impossible that her fur could have grown shaggy if it wasn't being brushed regularly. But in both cases, the dog sighted yesterday and today was definitely small and short legged. This is not something immediately obvious from the pictures of Dana so can be easily confused.

As for the limping, it has been pointed out by another JRT owner that their JRT sometimes skips/hops and carries their back leg when walking. Our dog Freddy who is a JRT also does this and having done a bit of further research, this appears to possibly be a terrier genetic issue (I won't go into detail but it's nothing serious), more common in the shorter legged breeds. So the dog sighted may have just been skipping and if so, more likely be short-legged.

Unfortunately, these are things I cannot ask the original caller as he left no number to be contacted on. But my gut feeling is that this may have been the same dog sighted on Friday. However, I will still though welcome any information on other sightings in the area.

In the meantime, I just wanted to say a truly big THANK YOU once again to all of you wonderful people who have commented, investigated and even gone out to have a look for me!! Although it has been another nervy and teary weekend, I was comforted and carried through it by your love and care!
Last edited: 2018-02-09 14:40:14
Michele
Just to say that there has been no further progress with the sighting from Friday. There have been no other sightings since that I am aware of and no other information about this dog who is potentially injured/lame.

I rang the dog Warden and the local vets to the area and no dog was picked up or brought to them on Friday or since as I haven't heard from them either.

I am trying to get hold of the Manager of the Toby Carvery in Langley to see if I can have the CCTV checked but not been able to catch him on duty as yet. I will try again today.

Thank you everyone for your help and kind words - once again, you have all been truly amazing!

I really hope the dog that was seen is found soon it would be fantastic for you if its Dana fingers crossed X
Michele
Apologies for the late post but my head has been all over the place and I've following up on Facebook about it. Since the message I posted this morning, I have since had a voicemail message earlier today left on my mobile from a "No Caller ID" (a man) to say that he had seen a dog like Dana near the Toby Carvery in Langley at 9am today. He actually said it was like "the one on the poster" - that was all he said on the message to me. He also left a message on my husband's mobile and on that he said the dog looked like it had a damaged leg as was carrying it. He left no telephone number or name or anyway of contacting him back. If anyone knows of a dog like Dana that has been spotted in the Toby Carvery, Langley area or has any info, please let me know. It could be another dog that is missing or one that is from the area and not missing. If any one has any information, please let me know - my mobile is 07778 512453.Last edited: 2017-10-27 20:12:23 by Michele

Glad you saw she was.... Its had a lot of views to that one. Still getting them to.

She has her own TC today (with luck) and have all her links on that one to. For Pup we still do a huge amount of ground work as its just so hard to get the message out via social media.

I wish we could both just get that one bit of luck and get our girls home soon xx

So just to let everyone know that I am back on the Get Dana Home campaign proper!!

The video and song I have previously mentioned is being tweaked but hopefully will be completed soon. I shall also be creating a poster for the next anniversary to share in all the usual missing/stolen dog groups. The banners are still up in and around Langley, Slough & Colnbrook. So the work continues!

In the meantime, it would be great to increase the number of followers for Dana's Facebook page. It currently stands at about 780 - it would be fantastic if we could tip it over the 1k and some. ๐Ÿ™

If you use Facebook, I would be so very grateful if you could help me to promote her page and get more people to follow her! Hi Baydogs

Thank for the below and reminding people about Dana's Facebook page. She also has a Twitter account (@GetDanaHome) as well as an Instagram account (get_dana_home).

Thanks also for putting the Dog Theft petition link! This is so very important!

Re Radio stations, the ones that I have contacted have not responded and the BBC Radio email keeps bouncing my email as their Inbox is full! I will follow up once I get a response from the Slough Observer.

As for the Slough Observer, they have not got back to me about how the will do this follow up story, so I have contacted them again to check - I dont know if they will just going with what I sent them in my email of if they need any more information.

Thank you all again for still following Dana and for all your help and suggestions. Paul and I are so very grateful! We are praying and hoping ourlittle girl will be found in time for our wedding!

Great news re the Slough Observer Michele. Good idea to contact the schools again too before the summer hols.
Maybe the radio stations will show more interest when the article is published in the Observer? Might be an idea to notify them that this is happening....?
Also hope the banners work their magic.

A reminder to anyone joining this page for the first time (and because the link is far down)that Dana has a Facebook page which is public and therefore can also be seen by non-book members. Loads more pictures and videos of her on there.

Update on the Slough Observer - they have said that they will run a story next week! Will let you know when it is published!
Michele
I thought I would post what I have been up to!

I contacted the Slough Observer with a follow up story on the year anniversary but unfortunately after trying via email and Facebook and various reporters, I never heard back.

So having had no joy with the Slough Observer, it was suggested that I try the Slough Express. I had thought that they were part of the same group but discovered that they are separate so I have sent them and email today.

Another suggestion was to contact the local radio stations. I had tried BBC Radio Berkshire early on after Dana went missing, but again I never heard back. So I followed up with a fresh email. I also then tried a couple of other local radio stations and contacted them.

Also, after another suggestion, I followed up on my previous emails and contacted local primary and secondary schools and academies. The suggestion was to ask the schools to ask the children and families to keep Dana in their minds over the summer holidays and generally keep a lookout, before they broke up for summer.

Finally, Paul and I have put up some banners in Slough and Langley and waiting to hear on a couple of places before putting up a couple of more.

Thank you to everyone that contacted me with the above! As always we appreciate everyone's ideas and suggestions, so please keep them coming in! ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ’–

I believe someone has Dana too. If only they read your posts they would be in no doubt about how much she is loved and missed.
Looking forward to hearing her special song xx

Thank you everyone for thinking of Dana and sharing. I am sorry I haven't been on here the last couple of days, I am finding it a bit hard coming to terms with Dana being missing a year. ๐Ÿ˜ข

I have posted some fliers through doors at the weekend in Langley and waiting on some banners to come through to put up in Langley. Also, waiting on a song to be written for my video for Dana (my friend's daughter is writing it!) and a new poster.

I believe to that someone has Dana and is looking after her. I pray it won't be long before someone finds out it is Dana. ๐Ÿ’–

Just to let people know that there are no new updates, sadly.

Dear Dog Lost Members

As you all will be aware, it is coming up to the one year anniversary of Dana going missing. There will be a push over the next week to raise awareness, with a new video, posters and banners up in the Langley/Slough area. I will keep you all updated.

Thank you

Dearest Dog Lost Members

As you will know, it is coming up to the 1 year anniversary of Dana being missing. We never thought Dana would still be missing now and that we would still be asking for your help nearly a year from that awful day... ๐Ÿ˜ฅ๐Ÿ’–๐Ÿถ

We still miss her so very much and love her more than ever! We will always keep hoping and praying that she will be returned to us. Our beautiful little girl is still very much part of our family and we will never give up looking for her! ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿถ๐Ÿ’–

So we ask again for your help but this time, there is something special that I hope you can all do for us. We ask that you print a copy of the latest poster and put it up where you live or in your car. Dana's followers are from all over the country and maybe that one poster, wherever it may be displayed, might be the one that helps to bring her home! If you could do this for us, we would be eternally grateful (I have added a link to it on FB below). ๐Ÿ’–๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ’ซ

Thank you all with all our hearts and always!

With so much love

Some great news in getting the word out about Dana!

A poster of Dana is being published in the 'In and Around' magazine which is distributed to almost 9,000 homes in Iver and Denham alone! This is going to be vital coverage which we hope will reach people who do not use Facebook or go online generally.

Maybe, just maybe, this will reach that one person who has Dana or knows where Dana may be but who as yet has been totally unaware that she originally went missing.

Thank you once again to the wonderful Debbie Batchelor for coming up with the idea and organising this.

Hello Jayne. Sorry, it was actually just one 'sighting' and a notification of a deceased dog. In any case, it wasnt a definite Dana sighting, just a similar looking dog to Dana so I was trying to get more information first. It was then confirmed the very next day that it was another dog. I didn't think it was worth putting up and confusing people. Likewise with the deceased dog. Someone had tagged me in on the FB post and asked if it could be Dana but having found out more information, it looks like it is another breed of dog (the poor pup is being checked for a chip so I am still following, just in case...). Again, I didn't want to confuse or send people out looking when not at all certain. If I do get a sighting that I am more certain of, I will of course put up details on Dog Lost. Thanks! xLast edited: 2017-05-02 16:45:04 by Michele

Hello Sandra! Just to say that from reading another post, I have found someone that makes these kind of banners so will be asking them about the possibility of gettting one done. Thank you again for the suggestion! ๐Ÿ’–๐Ÿ’–๐Ÿ’–
Michele
Hell Sandra! Thank you for posting your comment. I saw this - great news! The lady saw a picture of the banner on Facebook though...

Just to say that I have tried targeting non social media groups, organisations and people with my posters of Dana such as schools, the ambulance service, vets, scout groups, local shops in the area and the places she has previously been sighted, as well as putting up posters in parks and around Langley, Iver, Denham, Hayes, Eton Wick, Slough and all along the canal from Hays to Slough (so all areas Dana has been previously sighted).

It's difficult knowing who else and where else to target but there is always somewhere new to try! I must admit I didn't think of a banner on a road...

Thank you for your concern and suggestions! We really appreciate it! ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ๐Ÿถ๐Ÿ’–Last edited: 2017-03-11 21:58:02 by Michele

Just read Mungo's been reunited and his owners had giant banners made and put up at roundabouts etc. He was found as the lady who bought him saw one of these. Not everyone is on facebook, or even internet for that matter. Maybe worth a try! Hope Dana is home soon.๐Ÿถ
Michele
With still no news on Dana, no other news from the Denham sighting, no other sightings and (as much as I hate to think of this) no body being reported, I am more and more convinced that someone must have Dana and is not giving her up to the appropriate authorities. This is classed as THEFT by FINDING.

This is why Dog Theft Awareness Day on March 14th is SO VERY IMPORTANT! The Stolen and Missing Pets Alliance will be in Parliament meeting MPs on that day. PLEASE, if you haven't already done so, for the sake of all stolen dogs, missing dogs being kept by people and their distraught owners, write to your MP and make THEM aware of this day. Please tell them how important this is and that they should attend Parliament on that day to meet with The Stolen and Missing Pets Alliance! I wrote to my MP John Howell and he responded by writing a personal email to me, to state that he will be attending!

Every day that goes by without Dana is another day of heartbreak and pain. We get on with out lives but life is never the same again. We may laugh and smile but the laughter and smiles are never totally wholehearted. We have to live with the not knowing what has happened to her, if she is being looked after and cared for well, if someone is loving her as much as us (impossible!!) or if she is going through torture and is being abused. We need to know she is safe but most of all, we need her back! There is a hole in our lives than needs to be filled with Dana again!

Please help us to make those in authority and in Government aware that this is what the owners of missing and stolen dogs have to live with EVERYDAY!

Thank you for all your support!
Michele, Paul and Freddy

I was hoping to go up to Langley today to put up new posters and give out fliers but I'm afraid that this horrible cold has wiped me out completely this weekend and I just don't feel I have the energy today still to do so. ๐Ÿ˜ฅ

But I shall be back on my feet next weekend and will go up on Saturday to get them put up!

*******POSSIBLE SIGHTING - TOBY CARVERY,
DENHAM, BUCKS - TUESDAY, 7TH FEBRUARY, 7PM*******

Dearest Dana Friends

Just to let you know that last week on Tuesday evening, 7th February at the Toby Carvery in Denham at about 7pm, a follower of Dana saw 2 men walk in with a dog that looked very similar to Dana.

One man had short cropped hair and the other had a beard. They were possibly in their 20's or 30's. They talked to the barman briefly and walked out again through a back entrance (so not the main front one). By the time the person who reported this to me walked out to the car park, they were nowhere to be seen.

Since then, I have been trying to find out some more info from the Carvery. I spoke with various members of staff and found out that they had CCTV. Unfortunately, it took some time for me to be able to get the manageress to look at the footage and verify any images of the men with the dog. When she got the chance to do so, she told me that she could not see any footage of a dog coming in to the bar...

The manageress then said that she would speak to the barman on duty that night to find out more info. I discovered today that the men walked in to the bar, asked if they could bring in their dog and when the barman said he would check with management, they said not to worry and left.

I have not had any further updates from the Carvery.

So I am asking if anyone local to the Toby Carvery in Denham was also in there last week and remembers seeing 2 men walk in with a dog and offer any more information. Perhaps you may have had a closer look at the dog and can also confirm that the dog was very similar to Dana. Or maybe you may know who the men are, can confirm that the dog belongs to them and that they have owned the dog for longer than 8 months. Any information would really help!

I shall share my FB post to local Denham FB and general websites but feel free to go on the GetDanaHome page and share anywhere you may think is useful.

Finally, I have left a poster with the Carvery and plan to do a fresh poster and flier drop in the next week or so in Langley. But in the meantime, if you do live local and are out and about, please feel free also to use the various posters from the GetDanaHome page or any pictures from the site to show people and ask.

You have all been so very helpful already and continue to be my eyes and ears locally, which is something that is not so easy for Paul and I to be, being as we live 50 miles from where Dana went missing.

Many thanks as always for you care and dedication to helping to find Dana.

It's understandable that your imagination probably works overtime - I'm sure mine would. But the thing to remember is that these kind of reports are still (thankfully)in the minority. Much much more likely that someone has picked up your little girl and simply hasn't taken her to be scanned as they should... or she is still on the loose. Hopefully one day someone will recognise her, do the right thing and give you a call. X

Thank you Baydogs! Some of the horror stories I am reading about chips being removed from dogs, details being changed on chip companies and now about a missing dog being put down by Battersea scare the hell out of me. But I have to keep the faith.

Hello Dana Friends

So just to let you know that there are no new updates on Dana. She is sadly still missing.

Although I can't say that 2016 has been totally awful as it was the year we brought Dana in to our lives and shared 4 wonderful months together, I will be glad to see the end of it. As we enter 2017, my only wish is that the new year will bring fresh new hope, better news, more Reunited stories and of course the year Dana is returned to us!

Thank you all for being patient with all my wishes. Thank you also so very much for sharing them and for all your kind comments and messages of hope. I have just one more request, that you share this video again as far and wide as possible!

To be able to see what Dana would make of me trying to wrap the Christmas presents, especially the dog toy and treat ones! Freddy had his nose in the middle of it all and thought it was really helpful to stand on the wrapping paper as I tried to cut It! ๐Ÿ˜‚

Dana - I am sure you would have been right In there too and trying to eat the paper! I would have laughed as I tried to stop you, like I did with Freddy. Sweet girl, I wrap whatever possible and laugh with you when you get home, just so I know what you would have done!

For Dana to have been able to join Paul and Freddy in this comical Christmas pic! I think the Christmas hat with plaits might have suited her better...!

Dana - I am sure you would have loved to have sat next to Daddy with Freddy to pose for this picture! You are such a beautiful girl and know how to look into camera! Our sweet darling, we will make up for all this lost when you come home!

To be able to give Dana a special turkey dinner on Christmas day!

She would practically inhale it of course, as food never lasted long in her bowl! But how I would love to see her eat & be merry with us on that special day!

Dana - I know one day you will come back to us & when you do, I shall prepare the biggest turkey feast meal for you! I love you sweet girl.

Hello Baydogs, yes I was feeling extra sad that day. But we still have hope and do look forward! We hope what you look forward too will happen! xxx

Oh Michele, that last wish is so sad. I'm really sorry that you have reached this six month milestone.
I'd prefer to look forward to pictures or video of Dana tearing off her bridesmaid dress whilst Freddy eats a ring and you and Paul have to sift through his poo on your honeymoon. :))

December 18th, 2016 - 6 Months Since Dana Went Missing

For today to not be the 6 month anniversary of the day Dana went missing.

How we wish we could take time back and have stayed at home that day! Today would have been so very different. We would all be looking forward to Christmas and preparing for the day with Dana! Instead we are facing the prospect of getting through the day without her being there. ๐Ÿ˜ฅ

Dana - Wherever you may be and whomever you may be with, please know that you are still part of OUR family and still very much in OUR hearts! We love you so very much and miss you more and more each day!! Stay safe and stay warm, our sweet darling.

Darling Dana - Another special moment you have missed this year. ๐Ÿ˜ฅ What can I say? You would have marvelled at Daddy's lovely voice but probably put your paws over your ears at my efforts (like Freddy!)...! Please let's get you home soon so we can have you there at next years!! ๐Ÿ˜„

To get Dana back in time to be my bridesmaid at our wedding next year, with Freddy as the ring bearer! Of course, this could end up in disaster, with Dana tearing her frilly meringue dress off and Freddy eating the rings, but hey, it would make for a totally unforgettable day! ๐Ÿ˜‚

Dana - You have to get home soon as we need to get you measured up for the big day!!

December 15th, 2016

To be able to dance and play with Dana in the kitchen again! Freddy likes playing but doesn't like dancing. Dana would love to get up on her hind legs and let me take hold of her front paws and we would dance around the kitchen! I would then scoop her up in my arms and we would twirl around the room! She would love me to twirl with her and smile and laugh! She made us all so very happy!

Dana - I wonder if anyone is dancing with you now and if you are making them smile...? I hope that when they play with you, they understand that you love cuddles too and that they hold you warmly.

Hi Jenkins! Thank you but it was actually suggested by Baydogs, a regular follower of Dana on Dog Lost. Yes, it is a very good idea! It will hopefully refresh people's minds and alert them if they didn't already know. x

That's a great idea Michele, I really hope you get some good news and can get Dana home x
Michele
Just to let people know that I have sent an e-Christmas card, created by myself with Dana on it and have emailed it to vets up to about 15 miles radius from Langley.

I shall do the same to the rescue centres and dog wardens as advised by Baydogs.

Thank you again!

To be able to look at Dana's face when she sees our Christmas tree for the first time, with the lights! I wonder if she might be a little bemused, never perhaps having seen one before and try to knock it over...? She would easily be able to do it as she can jump high enough! How I would love to have the chance to pretend to tell her off but laugh when she is not looking! I am sure she would be a naughty influence on Freddy and get him to try to knock the tree over too! ๐Ÿ˜„

I wonder if she is looking a little bemused at someone else's Christmas tree and has tried to knock it over yet...?! ๐Ÿค” Go on Dana! I hope all the baubles and decorations go flying! ๐Ÿ˜‚

Sweet Dana, I hope someone is wishing you a goodnight and kissing you on the head, just like mummy and daddy used to do. I hope that when you dream, you still dream of your home with us and like us, wish you could be here.

OUR CHRISTMAS WISH FOR DANA! ๐Ÿ’–๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ’ซโœจ๐Ÿ’

Unbelievably, it is December already and winter is well and truly here. It was about this time last year that we started to look into adopting a rescue dog. It was an exciting time as we began to think of getting a new brother or sister for Freddy and how wonderful it would be! We didn't find Dana until the following January so getting that little sister for Freddy was still a little way in the future for us then.

Then in February we got our beautiful Valentine present in the form of Dana! It was LOVE, LOVE, LOVE for all of us and we couldn't be happier!!! Those 4 months we had for were among the happiest of our lives together!! Dana grew in confidence and our little family was complete again! Everything seemed perfect. Then on that fateful day in June, our lives were turned upside down... Fast forward to December 2016 and Freddy is still on his own and Dana is living possibly in the cold again, away from the family who love her and need her home... ๐Ÿ˜ฅ

But we keep hoping, praying and fervently wishing that she will be back home again with us for Christmas! From today and every day we shall be making a Christmas Wish for Dana to be home with us in time for Christmas! So here goes (the first one is very simple)! And please continue to help us as you have been doing so generously and kindly up to now, by sharing the new Christmas poster on FB!

Thank you!

Well today we went to Langley to refresh older posters and put up the new one. Like so many of the days we were out in June, July and August, it was beautiful & sunny day but this time a bit colder. It just brought it home to us that this was not summer anymore but 5 months on which made us think how can this be happening still... ๐Ÿ˜ฅ

So we hope that people who aren't online will see the posters and so realise that Dana is still out there, missing.

As always we meet such lovely people along the way, on this sad journey. We hear their stories and feel their sympathy. Thank you so very much for caring and helping!

Please carry on sharing my posts and posting your lovely supportive comments! Every single one of them means so much to Paul, Freddy and I! You keep us going!

Thank you Baydogs! I just thought it would be a good idea to circulate one poster with various pictures, showing Dana from different angles. I really appreciate the kind comments and the help.

There is another update on the reward poster too which we are planning on putting up in Langley next weekend. We know that Dana may not be in Langley anymore but its just something we have to do. Here is a link to the poster.

Does anyone passing through think that they may have seen this little lady in a nearby park, on their street or with a new owner?
If so, please please make contact. This isn't "just a dog", this is a much loved family member. Dana's human mum and dad even cancelled their wedding this year because they want to find her first...and her little doggy "brother" Freddy misses her greatly as well.
Five months is a long time to miss a loved one and worry about what may have happened to her. Please help this family and make contact with ANY information.

Did a big push yesterday on FB with the new poster for Dana. It has reached 15,000 plus people already so hoping for some response.

If I get any news, I will post here too of course.

Thank you all again for keeping a look out and searching too.

Hello Everyone!

Again there is no new news to pass on but Paul and I continue to search online for Dana and any clues as to where she may be, or on foot when we get a potential sighting, though to be honest, there havent been any really to speak of in the last few weeks. Also there are many local people still looking whilst out and about in their normal daily routine, which is a great comfort to us as we are not able to do so ourselves so easily.

So just to also let people know that Friday 18th marks 5 months since Dana went missing. I shall be carrying out another push online with a new poster. I am keeping positive and proactive in the hope that this will reach someone that knows where Dana is!

Thank you all for your continued help and support! You are all very wonderful people! ๐Ÿ’—๐Ÿ’—๐Ÿ’—

So no new news. But I just wanted to say that I am totally humbled by the response to my latest push online about Dana with just over 25,000 people reached on FB! Thank you for everyone's kind comments & support! I know that this is such an important way to get the word out on Dana & through it, we are still getting so much great advice & ideas!

For now, I wanted to share with you my dream last night. I dreamt that we were out in my car looking for Dana & we saw her! I opened the door of my car & looked at her hoping she would recognise me... She did & jumped into my car! I was so happy that when I woke up I briefly thought it was true... I truly hope it is a good sign & Dana somehow is letting us know she hasn't forgotten us but to keep searching for her. We will keep going until the day Dana is found and we get her home!

Thank you all for you love & support. Goodnight.

Still looking and searching Michele x
Michele
So last night and today was another torturous time.... We heard late last night that a dog matching Dana's description had been involved in an RTA over the weekend and unfortunately had not survived.

Thankfully, there were some very compassionate and caring people with her to the end and one lady took the poor pup to a vets to be identified and reunited. So after ringing several vets and putting up posts on Facebook, I managed to find the vets that took her in and they confirmed it was not Dana. The owner had been contacted.

Poor little thing, I'm torn yet again between feeling utter relief that it was not Dana but total guilt and sadness over this other pup... My relief that yet again, this isn't Dana is someone else misery and so I can't be truly happy.

I did just want to say thank you to those kind ladies that were with her throughout and took her to the vets to reunite her with her owner. I know that if it had been Dana, I would have been eternally grateful that she had someone kind by her side to the end. ๐Ÿ˜ฅ

Thank you also to Karen Harding and Lauren Duncan for helping me find out who the pup was and their owners. ๐Ÿ’

So the search continues.... But in the meantime, RIP sweet girl. I hope you are running free over Rainbow Bridge.

Sorry for the break - Paul, Freddy and I went away for a few days but back now and back to normality.

No fresh news to report but will be promoting Dana online as always.

Baydogs - They really did play so well! He runs around and likes tug and running after a ball. But it's not quite the same. He would be so happy if she were back to play with him! ๐Ÿ’—
Baydogs
Hello Michele. Have just been watching the video of Dana and Freddy on Dana's FB page. They play together so sweetly. Although I am glad that he has started to play again without her I hope his pal is back really soon. He'll be so pleased to see her!

Glad you met some pleasant and sympathetic police officers on your recent visit to the area. Pounding the streets as they do they could easily be the ones to spot her on the run. Perhaps the local police stations would like to display one of your Dana Christmas Cards too? x
Michele
There is still no new news and no further sightings from Iver. I think that there is definitely some connection though and Dana may still be in the Langley and Slough area, possibly Iver too. But without any confirmed sightings, it's like a needle in a haystack. And in Dana's case, there are many dogs that look like her out there. So really, she could be anywhere!

I have posted some more pictures of her on FB some again so please go to her FB page, Get Dana Home to take a look. Just also to emphasise that she is longer legged than the average JRT and measures about 19 inches (about knee height). She is very slim in her hind quarters. Her paws are distinctive and slightly web like. She was wearing a collar with a tag when she went missing.

Please keep sharing any of her posts on FB if you can or just keep an eye out for her on the street and online.. It has been 19 weeks today since she went missing and she has been away now longer than we had her. We miss her so terribly as you all know by my previous postings and this separation from her is heartbreaking for all of us. ๐Ÿ˜ฅ

With the help of some good friends, we hope to get a new picture out in a new push to get awareness of Dana missing soon. It's been too long now and want her back for Christmas!!

Thank you all for always being there, for sharing and caring.

So sorry for the break in an update - I am not sure where the last 3 days have gone...

Just a short update to say that there is still no news or confirmed sightings. There was a possible one today in Iver but we now believe it to have been a dog that strayed from a temporary traveller site in the area. Paul and I did go to take a look around Iver at different times and I put up fresh posters but unfortunately nothing.

Whilst wandering around, I spoke to various people, including some very pleasant and sympathetic police officers and another new contact and hopefully friend in Iver who all said they were aware of Dana and keeping a look out! This really gave me hope and comfort!

We are so very grateful for all the support and comfort people offer when neither Paul nor I are able to get away immediately or are just miles away at home, by being on hand to look locally.

I know I have said it before but I can never say it enough - you are all wonderful and amazing!

Thank You! Thank You! Thank You!

HI Baydogs!

That is a really good Idea! I usually do an e-card for Christmas, with the money that I would have spent on cards and stamps going to charity. But I can most definitely do either an e-card or print some home made ones with Dana's picture and details! I am of course hoping it wont be necessary as I am sure so many other people are... But I can most definitely get working on it now and have it ready to send!

Keep the good ideas coming!

Baydogs your message below, what a brilliant idea. Perhaps other owners should take up the idea.
Baydogs
H'm. Okay, will refrain from negative comments and move on....

Speaking of Christmas, people tend to display cards when they arrive. How about sending Christmas cards to all vets, rescues and dog wardens in the areas that Dana has been seen or may venture into. These cards could thank them for the good work they do all year and would obviously have Dana's pictures on them, with details and contact numbers.
Michele
Hi Baydogs

Thank you as always for your kind words. Yes this is the second time it has happened...

Just to explain a little mo about this incident, we subsequently discovered on the Monday that the none of this actually happened as reported by the mum on Sunday. It was a misunderstanding between the mum who posted the story on Facebook and the son who along with other lads, 'found' the dog in river.

This all added to the trauma of the day, after having spent about 10 awful hours thinking it could have been Dana. There was some confusion, anger and upset after and over it all in FB and my reference to moving on below was with regard to this.

Thanks again. - I always appreciate people's concern.
xxx
Baydogs
Hi Michele. It isn't surprising that you and Paul were affected by that found dog in the canal. It is the second time that you have been in that situation as well. It has to be emotionally draining.I'm glad it wasn't Dana, though like yourself I feel for it's owners.

We were all still looking whilst you took a short break and we will continue to do so. She WILL be found. XX
Michele
Dear DL Community

Well the events of last week although 7 days ago, still seem quite real. Paul and I we truly affected. I had to take a step back from FB and DL and keep my distance from various posts and commenting. But as I am sure many of you will understand, it is very hard cutting yourself off completely and I couldn't help but still read about what was coming up and sharing posts of other missing dog owners and following a couple of new missing dogs on DL, especially if I could help.

But as I said previously, it is important to put these kind of events behind you and move on positively. The search for Dana continues, be it online at the moment in the absence of confirmed sightings, and with the help of others, we are hoping to do another big push in the coming week .

So I will need YOUR help again to keep caring and look out for our beloved girl! You have done so much already for which Paul and I will be eternally grateful, but we still need more. We need people to continue to be aware of Dana being missing and do all we can to get her back before Christmas - that would be the best Christmas present ever! ๐Ÿ™‚๐Ÿ’–

Thank you!

Hoping the large reward will help provide the info we need x

Dear DL Community

Just to let people know that it seems that this poor sweet dog may not Dana after all. We still need to contact some authorities in the morning to follow up completely and follow up on some leads to check on the chip but having had some more feedback from the young man who found the body, it seems that the markings on Dana's body do not match.

So I as well as the Dog Lost team will update people more tomorrow but in the meantime thank you all for your kind words of support and comfort. Thank you especially to Karen Harding and Nicky McCarthy together with all the DL team for working hard all day to find out more about this doggie.

My thoughts and prayers are with this poor pup as well as any owners out there who may be waiting on similar news. It is a terrible thing to have a dog missing/stolen and when you get news like this, time just seems to stand still until you know for sure the outcome.

It has been a tough day but your hope and love as always have carried us through. Thank you.

Just to say to anyone that might have seen some posts on FB of a dog found in the Jubilee river in Slough matching Dana's description, we are looking into this and have contacted the police. As yet we don't know where the body was taken too or if it was scanned for a chip.

If anyone does have any information please let us know.
Thank you.

Hi Baydogs!

Thank you for your comments. We were ok when we finished but that last mile and a half was truly painful! ๐Ÿ˜–

You know from all the postings that made that I will never lose heart... But (and I can't really explain it) I just have this feeling that Dana is not there anymore, that she may have just been travelling through. Deep down I know that if she were there, she would have been seen again by now. It is not a huge park and there are some very kind people constantly on the lookout and checking anyway. I also left some fliers on their notice rack. But in any case, there is a Herschel Park volunteer group who are in the park on a daily basis and have not reported seeing a dog like Dana but they have assured me that they are keeping a constant look out.

Four months is becoming a long time and with Christmas not far away, the thought of Dana not sharing it with us is heartbreaking... So I try not too think about it and instead just concentrate positively on the fact that she will be home before then!! The Reunited stories are the best and it really does lift me when I read them! ๐Ÿ˜„๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ

Thanks again and thanks to everyone that writes words of support - it truly means a lot to me!

Baydogs
Well done for completing the OHM Michele and raising considerable money for Serbia's Forgotten Paws as well as raising awareness for Dana. I looked at the pictures of you and your running buddy after the race and don't know how you both look so remarkably fresh!

Don't lose heart re no recent sightings at Herschel Park. It is a wonderful place for a smart streetwise dog to hide and she has everything she needs there. Tiga picked up her scent remember. Keep networking and bumping her profile and she WILL be seen.
Could the kind man that walks there regularly (or any of your other local contacts)help set up a "Dana Watch" group? Do you have any contacts in the badge making business that could run you off a few custom badges for people to wear and keep people talking about her?

Four months must seem a lifetime to you and Paul. But dogs are returning to their owners after much longer than that. Here is one lost last February, reunited yesterday, little Enzo-

Hello All

Well unfortunately, nothing new to report and Dana is still missing. There have been no more new sightings at Herschel park and I have had no feedback form the posters I put up in Upton Court Park...

Next week on Tuesday, 18 will be 4 months that Dana has been missing and we shall be doing a push for more awareness in the run up to that date.

In the meantime, as soon as I do get any news, I shall update you all.

Thanks for your support and love for Dana - it really does keep us going through this difficult time.

Well for another year, I managed to survive the OHM! I have in great part my super running buddy, Sue Clarkson to thank for! Between us we suffered cramp, sore feet and a painful knee. But we did it and in a very respectful time of 2hrs 47mins!!

The day was fun, inspiring and emotional. So many people running for very worthy causes and some runners not only running 13 miles but running in heavy uniform/costumes (a firefighter in full uniform and with a oxygen tank thing on his back), someone in a Minion costume and a couple of people pushing others in wheelchairs). I was humbled by watching these amazing people run as they did!

It was truly a great day and I have a lot to be thankful for. For being able to run and not to have to be pushed in a wheelchair, for being able to run on behalf of a fantastic cause, for the lovely sunny day, for the wonderful people that lined the course cheering us on, for all the people that supported me on FB and thought positively throughout the run to get Dana home and for having such great running buddy that kept me going and pushed me through the knee pain in the last mile and a half and get me over the Finish line! I am sure though that some of that positivity helped me too, to get over that line!

I know my gorgeous girl Dana is still missing - we miss her everyday and are heartbroken that she is not with us now. But I have so much hope that yesterday will have helped and that she will be with us, safe and sound, soon! For that I am also grateful.

So thank you to all my family and friends, as well as my FB and DL friends, for your support, love and care! You will never know how much this means to myself, Paul and Freddy!

Dearest Friends

So tomorrow is the run! How quickly it has come round - I hoped against hope that I would not still need to be running for Dana but I am.

But I won't be running with a heavy heart - tomorrow is going to be a BIG day of POSITIVENESS!

Some of you have mentioned the power of positive thinking and one Dog Lost follower (thanks Baydogs) mentioned collective positive thinking. So I think now is the time!

Therefore, I would love people at some point tomorrow, between 9:30am (when I start the race) and 12:30pm (when I hope to have finished by) to think positively about Dana coming home. If everyone were to think this on and off, not constantly but at any time between then, we would have one continuous thought process about Dana! Between us all, we can cover those three hours!!!

I shall also be wearing my 'Get Dana Home' t-shirt so anyone following me or passing me will see it and hopefully think positively too!

Dana is out there and I know she will come home to us soon!

Let's do IT! Let's think POSITIVE!! Let's GET DANA HOME!!!

Thank you all you wonderful people!

Michele, such good news that Tiga appeared to pick up a scent. Whether Dana is roamimg or on the end of someone's lead, she will at some time be seen, especially with all the posters and networking that you and Paul are doing and all the kind people that you have met. Bless little Freddy too for leaving his visiting card all over the place and trying to keep up with it all. He is such a sweetie, please give him an extra cuddle from me.

Just a thought- some churches have CCTV now. Does St,Mary's? Anywhere else that might be willing to scan through and see if they pick anything up?

Will you have a picture of Dana on your running vest on Sunday when you do the half marathon? :) Only one day to go so I hope you'll be stacking up on the carbs tomorrow. All the best x

Dear Dana DL Friends

No new news I'm afraid.

Just to say that I went to Herschel Park to see if I could spot the mum's that knew of a dog getting out resembling Dana and the lady who owned the dog with a limp. Unfortunately, no joy but I managed to give out a few more fliers and put up a couple of more posters there. After wandering around for over an hour, I moved on to Upton Court Park and put up posters there too. Not a huge amount of places you can put them up (well on places where I know they won't be taken down) but hopefully they will get noticed. I posted a couple through the Scout Hut letterbox and outside the school.

Everyone I met were so wonderful and helpful. One young man took a bunch of fliers as his girlfriend works at Battersea and several other people promised to keep a look out. Most of all I would like to thank Emma for going out every day with her little boy and baby to keep a look out! She is a lovely kind lady and her little lad is just the sweetest! He even asked his mum if they were going doggie searching today as they walked in the park! Thank you Emma - Paul, I and Freddy are so very grateful for your help! ๐Ÿ’—

What wonderful people you all are!

Thank you again!

HERSCHEL PARK SIGHTING - UPDATE - 05/10/2016

So yesterday Jenny & Tiga came out to help track Dana. Paul & Freddy joined them & they spent the first 3 hours on the go!

So Tiga took them out of Herschel park, through Upton Court Park, across the Datchet Road and into where the Jubilee river starts. They followed the Jubilee river towards the Windsor Road and turned right back up the Windsor Road towards Slough. At one point when they got as far as Albert Street, crossed the road and went in to another St Mary's church, (off Church Street, in Slough), through the churchyard and out the other end. Tiga turned right back on to Albert Street and then back to the entrance of Upton Park (the residential area around Herschel Park). From there they went back in to Herschel Park.

By this point poor little Freddy was getting tired. So Paul took him to his dad's and Jenny and Tiga took a well earned break. Paul returned to the park and I joined them then after work. We had another walk around Herschel Park talking to people.

Now whilst Paul & Jenny were in Herschel Park before I arrived, they talked to a few people some with and without dogs. There was one lady who was walking 2 dogs, one that was mostly white with black patches. However, she religiously walks her dogs at 8:30am and 4pm and the dogs do run off the lead, wandering about on their own - one of them did have a slight limp...

Also, whilst Paul was taking Freddy home, Jenny talked to a couple of mums walking their children to the park and when Jenny asked them if they had seen a dog wandering around on its own, before she had a chance to say what colour it was, one of them said, "Brown and white? Oh no, its not got out again...?" Apparently, there is another lady with a small terrier type,M brown and white dog that managed to get out a couple of times in the last few weeks.

So we need to find who this other lady is whose dog got out. Also I wanted to take a picture of the dog with the limp, as the times stated by the latest sighters coincided with when above said lady takes her dogs out.

Jenny and Tiga gave it a real good go and tracked for a good 3 consecutive hours from 12pm,  with a break after and then stayed to walk around Herschel with both myself and Paul, whilst talking to more people and working out what the possibilities could be. She left at just before 6pm. There does appear to be a scent but Jenny does think that it was interesting the loop that Tiga took them on and that this could mean that someone may have walked Dana along this route on a lead... There was definitely something there for Tiga to have taken them where he did.

This is hard to take in but it is a possibility that we have been considering. But we should not totally rule out that Dana may be living wild and has been to both Herschel and Upton Court Park.

So for now I just want to find out who the lady is with the dog  with a limp that has got out a couple of times and get a picture of it  with a limp to see if it is the same one (or not) that one of the sighters saw.

In the meantime, can everyone please continue to keep a look out in Herschel and Upton Court Park and if possible take a picture of any dogs you may think might be Dana. I know this is not always easy but if you can do so, this would help to rule out or focus on sightings.

A massive Thank You to Jenny and Tiga for once more coming out to help and track Dana. I know you both want to find and bring back Dana as much as us and a whole lot of people on Facebook

Good to have someone so interested who walks this area regularly, and knows many of the local dogs Michele.Sounds like this kind man is going to make it his mission :) Equally, all your posters will help to keep others on the alert. There may not be a cafe but people will eat sandwiches here, throw bread for the ducks, and no doubt there are bins to scavenge from as well. Quite a good place for a smart dog like Dana to live, with water and food available. Lots of places to hide away. Expect you have already asked the nearby university to alert the students? And alerted the park gardeners? Hoping for more positive sightings soon.Getting a good feeling here.
Be great if someone could take a picture...

Hello Friends

An update on the similar looking dog from my post below. The kind man who made the sighting last week has since sent me a message and said:
" I will be looking out for anyone that has a Dog like Dana, even if it is in 6 months to yrs. I know of at least one person who does have a dog with the same shading/colour but he has had his dog for yrs and walks in the park daily with his child."

So I believe that we can discount the similar looking dog.

But please continue to keep a look out and let me know if you see a stray dog wandering around Herschel Park!

Thank you!
Michele
Hello Dana Friends

So we had another sighting in Herschel park between 8am and 8:30 am on Wednesday, 28th! The person who saw the dog picked up one of my fliers today and is very sure it was Dana. By the way the dog was described and by her manner, it does sound really possible! The only worry is that the dog was limping. I am just hoping that it is not too serious, though if Dana, this may slow her down and want to seek help... This very kind and caring man (another doggie owner) said he called the police who referred him to the RSPCA. Unfortunately, the RSPCA would not come out as the dog sighted was not injured - I guess a limp is not serious enough... In any case, this nice man said that the dog was a little shy and nervous but walked curiously towards him, most probably because he had his dog with him (which sounds very much like Dana) but then she turned and ran off. Other people did try to coax her but she was just too scared.
I do just want to confirm one thing. After going to the park today at about 4ish and wandering for a couple of hours, speaking to people and just keeping a look out, I spoke to one man walking his dogs who did say that there was another man that lived in the flats behind who owned a dog like Dana with similar markings. Now throughout this search, Paul and I have come across a great many dogs that have similar markings as Dana. But they have been various shapes and sizes and in some case boy dogs (though of course unless you take a really close look, you wouldn't know straightaway if sighted from afar). I asked the dog walker to check with this other man if possible and I posted some fliers through the communal letter boxes at the flats I think he meant, with hand written notes to say that Dana was possibly sighted in the park. However, if anyone local to the area and the park, can help to locate this gentleman and find out some more details, this would be great!

In any case, more searching was carried out at dawn (Karen Harding - You are a star!) and at dusk today by Paul and I, there were no new fresh sightings. But we will be back tomorrow at some point.

In the meantime, we have left a couple of items of clothing (Paul is seriously getting low on socks) and another small toy. Freddy our little trooper also went about doing his boy doggie business so there should be a varied scent in the park and in the Nature reserve.

As always, please keep a look out and let me know of any information. If this is Dana, she is clearly still very nervy and scared so it will be difficult to gain her trust and coax her towards you, so we just need sightings and we can try to be there - our only hope is that she will come to Freddy as they were very close before she went missing.

Thank you as always for everyone's help, in keeping a look out, sharing and for your words of support and comfort! Paul and I deeply appreciate this! xxx

Baydogs - No, no cafe but it does have a park volunteers FB page which I have posted on. Thanks for always hoping!! xxx

Jane - Many thanks for sharing on Twitter! xxx

Jayelle - We have put up the new reward posters around the park entrances and I left some fliers. We tried leaving posters at school entrances but in some cases, they were taken down. So we emailed before the broke up in July and then I did another round of emailing when the schools went back. Thanks for posting on DL and keeping up with her search! xxx

Sending lots of hopeful positive thoughts Michele.
Does this park have a cafe/snack bar that might close at around the 4-4.30 mark and may dispose of left over food around that time?
Does Herschel Park have a Facebook page that would share Dana's picture?
Hoping...hoping...hoping...

Hello Dana Friends

So there may be a possible sighting of a dog like Dana in Herschel Park between Langley and Slough!

There was a mixed sighting last week on Wednesday, 21st Sept which I wasn't too sure of at the time but then another one made on Monday, 26th Sept (but which we only just found out on Thursday evening as soon as the kind lady who made the sighting saw a post of Dana and messaged me). Both were sightings were at about 4pm and in the case of the Monday one, the lady noticed again that the dog was still in the park as she was leaving at about 4:30pm.

I went to the park yesterday at just before 4pm and stayed for an hour and half to see if perhaps it was someone walking their dog who might have let it run around free. But there was nothing.

So if anyone lives in the area or knows of anyone who lives in the area and has a dog similar to Dana, can they keep a look out or check with the owner and maybe let me knew if it could have been someone just walking their dog? If you do spot a dog like Dana walking around loose, please call immediately and don't try to approach her as if it is Dana, she will be very wary and scared of strangers by now.

My number is 07778 511453 and Paul is on 07798 770860.

We plan to go back up there tomorrow and I will be there at the times sighted on Monday and Wednesday in case those days are specific walking days.

Thank you for your help and kindness!

Hello Reynard. We live in Oxfordshire, 50 miles away Dana only really knew the immediate area around our home but we had only had her 4 months and she had only been to Paul's father's in Langley twice so would not know Langley well and definitely not between Langley and Oxfordshire.

I have rung the Slough dog warden several times and each time they just take my details, which they should have anyway. The other surrounding counties (quite a few actually) use a website on which they list all found dogs and they advised me to check their website, which I do regularly. In any case, the good thing is that they advised me that they are linked with the Dog Lost register (which Dana is on) and cross check for missing dogs. Thanks for your good wishes - we appreciate everything people say and do for us! xxx

Mallory's mum, I don't believe that she has disappeared either...especially a girl as streetwise as her, with her background. She can take care of herself there is no doubt, but we'd all rather see her being taken care of at home :/

I thought it best to post the latest update. I have just heard from Paul who is in Langley. It seems like the last sighting was not Dana after all...

He was out tonight again searching in the churchyard & came across the 2 dogs. They were with a man (who by the way was not close to the dogs) & Paul spoke to him. He said that he often takes them out walking at that time in the churchyard & just lets them roam around loose. He confirmed that he was out Saturday night and said he heard someone call out Dana....

So that means it's been 8 weeks since the canal sighting, if indeed that was Dana too. And I was so sure... Absolutely gutted & feeling very sad. I just need to hug Freddy close to me. ๐Ÿ˜ฅ

Great news re the sighting Michele. Hopefully Jenny and Tiga will be able to make it this week but otherwise I suppose you don't have access to (borrow or hire) any thermal binoculars?
Thinking positively and willing her to think of comfy sofas and warm blankets as the leaves begin to fall... X
Michele
Just a quick update whilst on my lunchour!

Well Paul and I have been our searching for Dana since Sunday (dusk and dawn this morning) but the little Madam appears to be playing 'Hide & Seek' with us! So no joy I'm afraid. We have contacted Jenny to come and track and hopefully she will be free this week! :-)

In the meantime, we have posted fliers and refreshed older posters in the area, she was spotted (St Mary's Road, Langley). Because she has been spotted there before, I am confident that it is her and that she has found herself a little home to hide away in, possibly Middle Green. We have also covered those areas, just in case.

As always, thank you for your help and support!

Michele
Firstly some good news! We believe we have had a positive sighting of Dana on Saturday night (10th) at about 9pm. We are still looking in to it at the moment and will give out more details but for now, just to say that it was in Langley itself. Another person there at the sighting also confirmed that the dog was very similar looking to Dana.

Just to say also that another dog was spotted in the same area at the same time the dog matching Dana's description was sighted. The other dog was small (but not very small) and almost all black with white paws. It was very dark at the time of the sighting so the person who saw both dogs could not really say much more. I have tried to search for a dog matching that description too that has gone missing in Langley but cannot find one. If anyone knows of another dog like this that is missing, please let me know so the owners can be advised.

As for this weekend, it was a good day today at the Canal Festival! The sun brought out a lot more people that on Saturday. With the helps of some friends, many fliers were given out and put on car windscreens, as well as having spoken to many people! Yesterday, we also had help with giving out fliers on the canal boats and in the area. Hopefully all this new coverage will bring more information and make more people more aware!

Finally, please keep helping with Dana's return by supporting her Thunderclap! We are almost at the target at it is only day 1 of the push! YAY! :-) xxx

Today after work, I went back to the canal as the lady who made the sighting said she would be returning today. I wanted to see if I could spot the lady in her barge to get more info as well as the man with the grey boat.

I biked for 2 hours and 45 minutes, from Langley to Hayes and then onto Cowley before making my way back to Langley but unfortunately, I spotted neither... I did go into the Tescos on the canal and left a poster with them.

So onwards and upwards! For now, there is still the Slough Canal Festival and Paul and I together with some wonderful people will be there to get the word out on Dana!

Thank you all!

Skywalker99/Nina/Baydogs -I'll try all your suggestions about who to contact. Thanks again! xxx
Michele
Hello Baydogs -

I was sent a picture of this dog a couple of weeks ago but it's not Dana. The markings on her face are different. But once again thanks for checking!

I just don't think she would willingly go with anyone unless injured or maybe just tired of running... By now she might be though. But a canal boat would be too small for her I think. She had lots of energy and needed about 3 good walks a day else she would be restless.

Skywalker99
You can buy guides to the canals published by nicholsons. They tell you where the water stations are, so you could put posters near them and in the boatyards.
DogLostNina
Don't forget that narrowboats have to discharge contnents and take on water so perhaps there may be stations on the canal that might be worth contacting or getting a poster up. Worth investigatimg any locks as well that have lock keepers.
Baydogs
Lol,sorry, link to the found dog-

Dana liked her space so do you think that if she was picked up and placed on a boat she'd jump off and swim unless restrained?

If this man has picked up Dana and doesn't have permanent moorings he could travel up and down the Grand Union which goes to up to Leicester.
I wonder if they would put a poster up here-

Michele
Hello Everyone

Thanks for all the suggestions!

Doglover - it's so difficult this. The thing is that we are just not completely convinced that Dana would go on a canal boat willingly and stay on it. At home she needed lots of space and would love to trot around the house, up and down the stairs. When she was out she would run madly round in circles! :-) Freddy on the other hand is happy to sit alongside you and just lie on the sofa. But you never know and we do need to be sure. :-)

Nina - Well I have posted onsome FB canal boat groups and joined a couple of others but waiting to hear back from them to see if they have accepted me. But I will look up the narrowboat forums and email them. :-)

Baydogs - We did call in to a tea room and a pub near the Cowley/Iver borders stretch of the canal. I couldn't see many other places but there was a big Tescos and the car park backed in to the canal so I will contact them. Good thinking! Btw, the dog you mention below, where is it listed?

Thanks again everyone - as always I really appreciate your help and suggestions!

I have been watching this found dog hoping a side view would be posted but it hasn't. Probably not Dana as the nails are pink and Dana's look black but thought I'd run it by you x

Michele, even though this man has no permanent mooring he must buy supplies. You have probably done this already (you've done most things!) but have you targeted any shops along/near the canal with posters? And pubs where he might have a drink or a meal?
Here are some canalside pubs with email addresses-

Dearest Dana DL Friends

Some hopeful news.

We have been advised by an FB follower that a dog matching Dana's description was seen on a canal boat on the Iver section of the canal. The canal boat was a slate grey colour and was being navigated by a man in his fifties. The person who made the sighting said that they had seen this canal boat and the man navigating it previously a couple of times but never noticed a dog. It does seem that this canal boat may not be permanently moored anywhere and so on the move up and down the canal.

It may be that this man has Dana but is looking for the owner... Or maybe this dog belongs to him and she is just very similar to Dana - we have had a few of these situations in the past and had our hopes raised. But we just need to make sure.

I have posted on several canal boat related FB pages to see if anyone may know who this man is and waiting to hear back. I have also spoken to a friend who lives on the narrow boats on the Langley stretch and they have put the word out about this & will keep a look out. Another friend of a friend who lives on the Cowley/ West Drayton moorings area is also keeping a look out

In the meantime, Paul & I went to the canal today on our bikes and rode from Hayes to Langley via Cowley and West Drayton but did not see any canal boats matching this description or being navigated by this man. I think we must have covered about 15 miles plus - all good training for the Oxford Half Marathon! We also managed to put up more posters & give out fliers, especially to any canal boats that were moored up. Hopefully this will result in some news if nothing else!

So dear friends we just ask that you keep an eye out once again along the canal and among the narrow boat owners. Any help is as always massively appreciated!

Thank you all so very much for supporting Paul, Freddy and I through this time.

Dear Dana DL Friends

Sorry to say that there have been no new updates or sightings.

And so another day goes by without our darling Dana and the pain of not having her with us never seems to lessen.

The weekends are the worst as they mark yet another week that she has been gone, another Saturday of 'if only', another opportunity in the nice weather missed where we could have taken her & Freddy out together for wonderful adventures as a family...

But then Monday comes around with new & fresh hope! And we gone on, hoping and praying this week will be the one she is returned to us!

So we just need to get through the darker days, leave them behind and look towards the brightness ahead!

Dana - Never a day goes by without thinking of you and wondering where you may be. I know you will be home with us safe & sound one day. So until then our special girl, look after yourself and never forget us!

Dear Dana DL Friends

Just to let you all know that we would like to organise a few people to come a long to the Slough Canal Festival the weekend of September 10th & September 11th to help give out fliers and raise awareness. If you think you might be interested & you have an hour or two spare that weekend please come along! It looks like a fun family day out with plenty to do! And we will all be pulling together to help get Dana back! Please let me know if you are interested in joining in! ๐Ÿ’ƒ๐ŸŽ‰
Below is the link to the Festival:

As for the latest, today I went to Langley Canal to put up more posters at the farther ends, whilst getting some training in for the Half Marathon. I ran towards the Richings Park/ Cowley end and then walked/run/walked back up to the other end, beyond Middle Green, putting some more posters up where possible. The knees just about held up! ๐Ÿƒ In the meantime, please take a look at my JustGiving page!

Hello Dana DL Friends

Just a quick update to say that we have no fresh news as yet.

I have been going through posts that have been put on the various Facebook dog lost and community sites, bumping them up. I have been focusing on the fact that because we have had no any proper sightings now for 4 possibly 5 weeks, that Dana could have travelled even further afield from the areas she has previously been sighted. So I have been asking people to still keep a look out in these areas (Langley, Iver, Datchet, Eaton Wick and Hayes) but if possible, to also keep a look out further afield.

I have also said that we are considering the fact that Dana may have been taken in by someone, albeit in good faith, who may not use the Internet so won't know about Dana being missing or because she may have wandered off outside the area and so people may not have seen our posters. So I have been asking if people have noticed a dog in the last 4 or 5 weeks in any of the said places or surrounding areas, that is new to the area, resembling Dana, being walked by someone or living with someone.

Please all consider what I have said above too and any information you think might be useful will be gladly accepted!

As always, thank you for all your help and care!

Dearest DL Dana Friends

So back home and back to reality. Not sure what that is these days as the search still goes on for Dana, one way or another...

It is now 10 weeks today since Dana went missing and because we have not have any sightings in 4 weeks since the Hayes sighting, Paul and I will be taking stock of the situation and deciding how best to continue from here. The main thing we both know is vital is to keep pushing on the Internet as far and wide as possible. And for those of you wonderful local friends, to still keep a look out in the areas Dana has been seen in, so Langley, Iver, Datchet, Eaton Wick & Hayes.

In the meantime, I shall look ahead at events coming up to use as flier/talking opportunities. There is the Slough Canal Festival the weekend of Sept 10th/11th but I am sure there will be others too so everyone keep a lookout for these too.

But for now, today starts with another run! I am still in training for the 2016 Oxford Half Marathon and I am still looking to raise vital funds for Goran shelter, on behalf of Serbias Forgotten Paws & raise awareness for Dana disappearance!

Please take a moment to look at my JustGiving page - any donation is truly welcomed!

A bit of an update on the sighting in Hayes after speaking to the gentlemen that saw her.

So the sighting was either on July 28th or 29th but definitely at 4:30pm. The dog sighted was about the same height as Dana and she was wearing a collar that matches Dana's. He also said that he tried to catch her but she ran off a little scared. This was in by a small row of shops in Bourne Avenue and she ran off in the direction of the recreation park at the end of the road called Pinkwell Park.

So this sounds very positive as it does pretty much describe her. Although it was about just over 2 weeks ago, please all keep an eye out for her if you are in or around the area!

Just as an aside, today marks 2 months since Dana went missing - please let us not make it 3 months and lets us all work to get her back very soon!

Re the travellers sites, we have already been to see 2 in Langley and 1 in Datchet with reward posters and offered them a reward right at the beginning. But we never heard back. We followed up a couple of times, with new posters and again offered rewards but still nothing. We have spoken also to the Council Liaison officer for the Mansion Lane site and she is now aware of Dana and was going to ask about. Also, through other friends, they have made contact with specific travellers at the Mansion Lane site and they are keeping a look out. I am sure if they knew anything or had her, we would have heard by now...Last edited: 2016-08-18 13:29:31 by Michele

The mansion lane site has been there years, it is also right by the canal where dana was also tracked to
Simbarose
Councils do have traveller liason officers. There is a website for them. I can't remember the name but it is something like Gyspy and travellers liason offices. They only cover council sites but are normally aware of other illegal camps. Could try contacting the council local to the area she was tracked too
Mallory'smum
Do Councils have such a thing as Traveller Liason Officers? Would it be worth trying to find out and get them to ask around if so
gsd owner
Jenny and Tiga tracked to Mansion Lane. There is a traveller site down there. Maybe you already have, but I would add REWARD OFFERED and poster mansion lane to the site again.
Good luck in your search x
Baydogs
I wonder if the press would add a little update to their article to reflect this sighting? :)

That must have been around the time that Jenny and Tiga were there tracking (2nd or 3rd August)
In that post you said-
"But for last night, we decided to focus on the last sighting and Tiga took us all the way to it! He then stopped about half way between the point Dana was seen and Mansion Lane bridge. "
I suspect Jenny will understand better what Tiga was trying to tell everyone....but did Dana cross the bridge and make it to Hayes that way? I'm not from the area, so it could be useful if local people could comment on the route she might have taken. Would she HAVE to cross the railway tracks or is there another way?

It is good news. Sleep well tonight :)Last edited: 2016-08-17 23:03:23 by Baydogs

Hello All! In my haste to get the post up, I realise now that I hadn't added that the sighting is not a recent one but from 2 weeks ago. So sorry but didn't get much sleep last night so head is a bit fuzzy...

We were thinking of contacting Jenny again but as the sighting is already 2 weeks ago we just wanted to see if we could get any more feedback before dragging Jenny all the way from Kent again...

I have an update on a sighting! From one of the posters posted on Facebook, someone has said they are sure they saw Dana in Hayes, walking along Bourne Avenue, heading towards the park which is round the corner. From another comment on Facebook, we do think this is a credible sighting.

So if there is anyone in the Hayes area, can they please keep a look out for her?

Sorry for the brevity but I just wanted to get this posted as soon as possible.

Thanks you!!

That's certainly an attention grabbing headline Michele! Hope it catches the eye of someone who has seen her recently or knows where she is.

Could everyone please share this touching video of Dana by Karen Harding as well-
https://www.facebook.com/karen.harding.1848/videos/10155099370769951/

Michele, "Highways" are reached through your local council offices. By request, they will take a description of a missing dog or cat and, if a body is found on the roadside, will scan and inform the owner. I know this sounds really pessimistic (that is why people are often reluctant to suggest it) but it is a good thing to do because, if that sad event should occur, at least you would know.

Half eaten bunnies generally indicate that they have been caught by a dog; foxes stoats and cats tend to drag/carry them away. If a stoat has made the kill there will also be a bite mark on the back of the neck where they have severed the spinal cord in order to immobilise their much larger prey. Have you seen these partially eaten bunnies in the fields by the canal recently? If so, it might be an idea concentrate on that area again and quietly observe in the hopes of catching a glimpse of the culprit. Although you might find this too gruesome, you could also carefully examine the remains for puncture wounds and see if the jaw size would be comparable with Dana's.

Regularly watching here, like many others, for those special words "She's been seen!" X

Other than that, I don't currently know what else to suggest for now as you and Paul have covered everything....maybe extend the poster area-if you haven't already done so!

Hello Dana Friends

We have managed to get Dana in the local news! Not so sure about the headline but it is dramatic and gets the point across!

I just want to get awareness and the message as far and wide as possible that Dana is missing! Right at this moment in time, I am not discounting any possibility as to where she may be...

As for this week, Paul is back in Langley on hand for that vital call and just checking out the usual areas at the best times, replacing old for new posters as and when he sees them.

Please continue to share and keep a look out online for any potential sightings when out and about. And also keep messaging and posting the ideas! We have had so many and every one of them are relevant and crucial to finding Dana! Paul and I are as always so very thankful fr the effort people are putting in.

Lets get Dana Home!

Hello Skywalker99! I have been passed in the name and contact details of Ray by an FB friend and will keep him in mind though it does sound like he more or less does the same as Jenny and her tracker dog. She is also on standby in case of another sighting. We have tried camping out until the early hours a couple of times but again, we have never been exactly sure of where she is at the moment, other than the canal sighting. Right now she could be anywhere... We have to wait for a firm sighting and then it will be all systems go! x

Your dedication to finding Dana is inspiring. Have you been in contact with Ray Dedicoatar all <just google him). He may not be able to help at the moment if you don't have sittings but you may need him when you do locate her to help catch her. Also, have you considered camping out near where you think she might be?

Hi Doglover.

Yes some barges do go up the canal not boats as such.It is a possibility but I just dont think Dana would have been that trusting. She was very wary of strangers & would have been too scared to approach anyone, let alone jump on a boat. But that said I have emailed a holiday canal boat company to make them aware & the canal boat community on that stretch of the canal are aware also. I have been told that animals are not allowed on canal boats so if she were to jump on one, they would not be able pt keep her on it for long. Thank you for thinking of the possibility!

Hello Baydogs!

Thank you for your post!

Yes Dana is a bit taller than the commonly known JRT - she is like a Parsons JRT and we think she may have a bit of Whippet about her. Yes also you are right in thinking that she reaches my knee (I am 5'2").

You have hit the nail on the head about the waiting aspect! It is ultimately emotionally draining - so many upas and owns... :-( I hope so very much that we will be rewarded!!

Whilst we have been searching the fields near the canal we have come across half eaten rabbits! She was partial to rabbits droppings! :-)

I did not know about Lostbox - I will pots Dana on that! Heads up!

We have been telling people not to try to catch her or chase her but just to call us.

We have rung 101 and asked if there have been any reports of any incidents involving stray dogs. They checked but they wouldn't take details. They said that in the event of a dog incident, they would refer it to a dog warden or handler. I do have a family member who works in admin for Thames Valley Police and she has a friend who works in the Slough area. She will let us know if there are any incidents in that are involving the police.

Thanks again for all your help! We really appreciate your care and concern!

Baydogs
Michele, I posted earlier but it was lost due to internet problems my end. I'm trying again :)

All the best with the marathon in October. I was interested to see photos of Dana in the Serbian rescue. I thought these pictures gave a better idea of her size which is a bit bigger than the average JRT. In fact, I think you once wrote that she stands almost up to your knee. Is that correct? I think these photos are useful for people to see if they are on the lookout for her.

Did you ever see a BBC documentary about a the search for a white fox? I think it was in Iceland. The cameraman waited months in sub-zero conditions. When he spoke to camera, his moustache was visibly frozen and when he threw a cup of boiling liquid into the air it turned to ice drops as it fell to ground. It was that cold. He had almost given up when eventually the fox was seen cheekily wandering through town. Grabbing his frozen equipment he finally managed to get there in time. He was elated! Months of patient waiting for a few minutes of film so that we can watch this rare fox from the comfort of our armchairs. Not enough credit is given to these people.

Why am I writing about a white fox when you are seeking your little white and brown girl? Because I believe the situations are in some ways comparable and both equally commendable; that cameraman may have endured sub-zero conditions during his wait but you and Paul (and others seeking their much loved furry family) have the emotional aspect to contend with. And although the searching and waiting is tiring and frustrating, it's that emotional aspect that is so hard to endure. But hopefully, like the cameraman after the white fox, you will soon be rewarded with the same elation.

She's finding food somewhere, but being such a streetwise girl she may be existing on rabbits. Keep your eyes peeled for half eaten bunnies on your travels around any fields. Would she nab herself a chicken? Are there any free range chickens in the area?

You are certainly doing all you can, and refreshing everyone's mind again is a great idea as often people see posters that have been there a while and simply assume that the missing dog must have been found and no-one has bothered to remove the poster. Is Dana on Lostbox too? Not just the FB but the website which is used more by non-FB people.
https://mylostbox.com/

Children are observant where animals are concerned and they will be found with their parents in play parks during the school hols.
I would stress to all though NOT to chase, but to ring the numbers.

One last thing - the subject no-one ever wants to mention but I'm going to; have you alerted Highways? This is always good to do because if you don't hear from them you know that something HASN'T happened to her on the roads. Ditto Netework Rail if there's a track anywhere nearby.

Now c'mon Dana, stop being so clever at evasion and give your family the sighting that they need!
Michele
Hello All

Well again nothing new to write in terms of new sightings both by Paul or anyone else. Tomorrow will be 3 weeks since the last one on the Langley canal. So we are desperate for new sightings!!

A friend mentioned widening the search. But as I said, without a fresh sighting, we just not know where else to look... There are so many fields around Langley that searching those needs a great many more people to cover them fully and constantly. We could be looking in the completely wrong place. :-(

So until we get another firm sighting, we have to believe that Dana may still be trying to find her way back by doing the triangle loop but just doing it very much out of people's view. Paul said that all the times he has been out this week, bar the middle of the day and very early evening, it has been so quiet, that Dana could easily be wandering around unnoticed... With the schools being off, people on holiday there are less people generally about now. Other friends suggested checking with leisure centres as these might be busy now and giving out fliers to postmen. We had done the latter a while ago but they will need reminding now.

I think that the internet at the moment is key in spreading the word so that people who read the posts and are then out an about in the areas outside of Langley may be more aware and so better able to keep a daily look out on our behalf.

So I have been busy on the internet, bumping old posts on Facebook and marking Dana as still missing. I have also contacted the Slough and Bucks Observer with a follow up story on Dana (it was a month ago since the story was published) to say she is still missing and that I am doing the Oxford Half Marathon for Serbia's Forgotten Paws and to raise awareness for Dana.

In the meantime, I shall get Paul to check out leisure centres and target postmen/post office tomorrow.

Lets hope the end of the week will bring more positive news!

Thank you all again for your continued support and care! You are all truly wonderful!

Hello All

Just to let you all that Paul was out last night until midnight looking for Dana and then again most of today. He even got on his bike to go further afield!

Unfortunately not sightings as yet..

He will continue all week to do early mornings and late nights.

I shall go up tomorrow after work to join him.

In the meantime, I would like to take this opportunity to let you all know about my fundraising for Dana and Serbias Forgotten Paws. I am running the Oxford Half Marathon in October - please visit my page and take a look at my story.

Thank you!

Thanks Baydogs. As Paul is off this week, he will be specifically doing dawn and dusk checks with Freddy. He tried to get him to follow her scent but he didn't react. He will try again but I'll pass on all your comments as I am sure they will help. He is currently out tonight and I'll report anything new tomorrow. Thanks again!
Baydogs
Michele, though trails may have gone cold, Dana will still be peeing and he may pick up on that. If there hasn't been significant rainfall in that area for a while, her pee will also hang around for a while. Plus he may pick up on her scent if she is nearby but hiding/sleeping. Don't worry about the collar, just watch Freddie's nose and quietly follow if he appears to be onto something. I wouldn't make a big deal of it with Freddie because that might make him anxious, wondering what it is you want him to do (he isn't like Tiga, trained to search) just let him do his own thing and simply follow. He may take you to an area where she has slept but this may provide another piece in the jigsaw.
Though daytimes are best for increasing public awareness, dawn and dusk tend to be the best times for sightings when she thinks about food, and when it's not so busy and therefore it feels safer to her to come out.
If you think she is using a certain field for example, sometimes just sitting quietly at the edge of that field with a pair of binoculars can be useful. Look for fox runs across the hedges as well because she might use those for crossing from one field to another.
And if you do see her, remember the rules- crouch down, avoid eye contact etc. It will be incredibly hard for you to do this when every inch of your body will want to run to her and give her a cuddle.

Have shared to High Wycombe.

Thank you Baydogs, your words are very helpful and give us hope! We always try to use Freddy to leave his scent but never sure if he is picking up a scent or trail of Dana, mainly because we aren't completely sure where she has been, though have an idea. I think we will keep trying with her collar again and watch him more closely, maybe let him take the lead and not us... The problem is that the trail may have gone cold. We should have done this at the time of the last sighting but it was all so manic and we were running around in the dark, not really know where to go that we weren't thinking straight. Thank you again! ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ’—

Thank you also Mallory's Mum! We truly love her and just want her home so our little family can be complet again! ๐Ÿ’—๐Ÿถ๐Ÿ’—

What inspiring words Baydogs. I so wish this page would turn Blue-your hard work and determination is to be admired Michele and your love for Dana shines through in your words. Come on little girl show yourself.
Baydogs
Morning Michele. Have been smiling at the lovely photo of a very tired little Freddie on Dana's FB page. He really is a sweatheart isn't he. Hopefully he'll soon have his pal back.
You know, everywhere you walk in Langley, Freddie will be leaving his scent too. Not only when he pees, but also from where he treads or sits. All dog owners know that when we have petted another animal and return home to our own, they pick up on this, sniffing at our hands and clothes.
Equally, your "apple juice" trail will be the strongest for Dana to pick up on, but she'll also pick up your scent off paths and seats. One of my dogs always tells me when someone has called whilst we have been out because she follows the trail of their footsteps up the path with interest. This dog (like most others) is able to smell a certain person that she likes who is a long way away on walks. Her nose goes up in the air and she runs off to meet them well before I see them in the distance. She can also recognise the scent of a car passing at speed if it belongs to someone she likes and squeals with delght. This is not by engine noise; she is deaf. And she barks at the scent of a person she dislikes when they pass my home, picked up through an open window. Freddie will also be able to pick up on Dana's scent so watch him as you walk. If his nose goes up in the air, Dana may be nearby. Follow his lead, go in the direction of his nose, and use your ears for movement in undergrowth. This is how I track wildlife- walking silently, using my ears, looking for tracks, flattened sleeping areas, bits of caught fur, faeces, and using my dog's nose as a guide. My ears are better than hers but her sense of smell far surpasses my own.
On FB, you posted a map of Serbia where Dana came from and compared it to Langley. It is really quite similar and of course she has slipped back into her "street dog" mode. But she was caught once before, and you will catch her again! You are doing everything you can to keep her in the mind of the public. She will be spotted again- she has to find food. She'll be seen. These quiet times are hard but patience and persistence is the key. You and Paul have both of those, plus a deep love for Dana that will keep you going. We will see this page turn blue!
Michele
Dear DL Friends

So just as an update, we decided to lay a blanket at Paul's dad's house to see if Dana was coming back to it (we thought that she may be doing). Anyway our friendly blanket raider turned out to be Felix the Fox, with the help of Cough the Cat (those of you of a similar age will remember from Tiswas)! It was a disappointment but at least we know, which means we can plan better for our next stage in finding Dana.

So we ended up staying in Langley yesterday at the last minute and then spent this morning and afternoon going around Langley, the canal and Langley and Black parks, giving out more fliers, replacing posters and talking to many lovely, kind people. We are home now and so will have some relax time for the rest of the day. Poor Freddy, our absolute trooper, has been amazing in keeping up with us but is now a very tired doggie!

As for the rest of the week, Paul has some time off and will concentrate on being in Langley and on hand to search for Dana and just be there in case of a sighting. The search will go on and above all, we will stay optimistic and hopeful! ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ˜€

We know we will find her and the reason we know is that we have absolutely faith in our beautiful darling Dana! Through no fault of her own, she ran away because she got spooked. This happens to so many dogs and it is a terrifying time for their owners. But what I have seen throughout all the stories I have read is that every owner has determination and the faith to keep going! No one will stop us!!! But best of all and what carries all us owners of missing doggies is the support, love and compassion of family, friends and total strangers who become our friends! It may a few words on our DL posts, a walk with your dog to keep a look out, a continuing search for that found dog in the Internet. All of this carries us and helps us to keep going with the search. For that we will be eternally grateful!!

From the bottom of our hearts, THANK YOU!

๐Ÿ’—๐Ÿ’—๐Ÿ’—๐Ÿ’—๐Ÿ’—๐Ÿ’—๐Ÿ’—๐Ÿ’—๐Ÿ’—๐Ÿ’—๐Ÿ’—๐Ÿ’—๐Ÿ’—๐Ÿ’—๐Ÿ’—๐Ÿ’—๐Ÿ’—๐Ÿ’—๐Ÿ’—๐Ÿ’—๐Ÿ’—๐Ÿ’—๐Ÿ’—๐Ÿ’—Last edited: 2016-08-08 08:28:26 by Michele

Dear Friends

So today marks 7 weeks since Dana ran off so more important than ever to keep the momentum going! Please all you keyboard and Internet warriors, search, share, investigate and pass in any information to Paul and I whilst we keep looking. And all you dog walkers, keep an eye out for dogs on their own or anything odd or different since the last walk you had. Or any one that knows of someone that has not long had a new dog a bit like Dana - please don't be afraid to ask where she was 'rescued' from. Dana would not willingly go with anyone but she may be tired, hungry or perhaps lame now and so it may have been easier to have caught her.

I would like to take this opportunity to make a mention to a very hard working and determined internet warrior and that is Sally Singleton. She has done so much work, searching out so many FB groups to post Dana's latest poster. Sally is truly getting the word out and wont let the odd rude person stop her! We are so grateful so a Big Well Done and Thank You! ๓พฎž๐Ÿผ๓พฌ‘๓พ†ท

So finally, please all keep in mind... We desperately need a fresh sighting!!! So all you lovely people, keep looking!

Thank you to everyone!!

Hello All.

I'm afraid that there is no fresh news and not sightings to report. We replaced the blanket with a 'fresh' one, laid some treats, fresh water and some more other items of our clothing and went around and back to check but nothing. We checked the canal again and the fields behind too.

We desperately need some new sightings so please everyone keep an eye out for Dana this weekend!

Thank you!

Really pleased that Jenny and Tiga are on the case Michele. With their involvement combined with your efforts and determination I'm sure there will be a positive result here soon. Will be watching and hoping for another Dana sighting to set the ball rolling.
BTW are any of the treats you leave ever taken? If so, and you want to see who/what by, you could always position a thermal trailcam to catch the image...
Michele
Hello All

Just to confirm that Paul and I shall be going down to Langley this evening after work to continue with the search. I shall update you with any news after tonight.

Michele I'm so pleased Jenny & Tiga were able to come out. Hoping for another sighting really soon so that Dana will be found & home safe with you X
Michele
Hello DL Community

So unfortunately there is still no news about Dana being found. The last sighting is still Friday, July 22nd at the canal.

A very positive thing though is we had the wonderful Jenny and Tiga helping us to track Dana last night! Jenny is such a fantastic person and great inspiration! As for Tiga, well, what an amazing, focused and hard working little doggie!! Absolutely adorable too! Even Freddy got inspired and sniffed more that he normally does!
But Tiga had a serious job to do and he did it very well. He took us to a couple of interesting areas off the High Street in Langley and leading out of it towards the roundabout with Toby Carvery.

But for last night, we decided to focus on the last sighting and Tiga took us all the way to it! He then stopped about half way between the point Dana was seen and Mansion Lane bridge. It could be that Dana was there for a while and perhaps moved on to the fields behind. So Paul and I went there after as it got to dusk to search around. Nothing obvious and she could have been there up to 2 weeks previously but she could have also been there the day before!

So we will keep looking, walking to and from Paul's dad's house to lay a scent and leave clothes with our scent, water and small treats (not lots of food) in the front garden, in the hope she will find her way back and stay there!

So the next step is to get Jenny and Tiga back as soon as we get another sighting so we can track her more closely to the time of the sighting. This is where you wonderful people are so vitally important! Please all continue to share my posts, share the new poster, keep a look out online and on the streets and above all, contact the number on the poster if you have a sighting as soon as you can, even if it is late at night! We have extremely kind helpers in the area who have offered to go to the scene whilst we make our way over!

A big Thank You all on DL for your kind and supportive comments and for keeping a lookout on all the DL sites! Paul and I appreciate it all so much.

This doggy has been missing for far too long. Someone must know where she is. Hope she is found very soon x

I'm still checking and sharing. Come on Dana we know you are out there make an appearance please x.
Michele
Hello All!

Firstly a big thank you to Rachael and Lynne for going out today with Chup and Holly and for coming out so far to check out an area of Langley not fully checked out to date. Leaflets were given out, posters put up and BBQ held all for Dana! Paul and I are so very grateful for the time spent and hope you enjoyed the day out! Unfortunately no sightings but the good thing is that a bigger area has been covered and and more people are aware, further afield to the north west of the canal sighting. These are all areas that Dana could be wandering around so it is great that they have been checked out.

Unfortunately, the potential sighting in Iver on Saturday turned out to be a false alarm But again, this is an area that Dana could potentially be roaming and so it is good that more people are aware. The lady from the Iver Community page actually went back out tonight to check it out and so found out!

There has been a wonderful eye-catching poster created by DL's Karen Harding (a very BIG thank you Karen!) which is currently circulating online. It has already reached so many people and doing great job! Not only that but Karen very kindly helped to check out also this latest sighting, for which we are very grateful!

Other than that, just to say that has not been any new sightings since Friday, 22nd July.

Keep up the good work people!

That's still not far from the canal and still under three miles from where she was initially lost so that gives the sighting viability.

Hello All!

Well unfortunately, no luck over the weekend. We went up yesterday and today to do the scenting and left a fresh throw that we have all be sitting on with a bowl of water back at Paul's dad's front garden. The trail of, errhm, liquid leads right up to that point.

Tomorrow a lovely lady and her mum are coming up to Langley with their dogs to search the parks in the area and put up more posters. Depending on how things go, we will be back up there Tuesday, possibly tomorrow if we get details of a sighting.

Thank you all for your continued support and ideas! We take any we haven't already tried on board - we will try anything to get our fur baby home!

By the way, can anyone help me with setting myself up for email alerts? I didn't realise you could get them and woudl be good to get them here to pick up your comments more quickly.

Baydogs - Thanks for the suggestion. We have been using a water bottle with a squirty spout but will try a sprayer next time!

Thanks again!
Michele
Baydogs
The scenting is a great idea. Do you have one of those plant sprayers that you can regulate whether it squirts or mists? If so, using the "squirt" option you can make your "orange juice" go further. A dog's nose is very sensitive remember so you don't need much at a time.
Really glad that you have so many allies looking out for her when you aren't there. That must be comforting.
Doglover
Let us hope the scenting works Michele, if not hoping that the tracker dog will come to fruition. Xx
Michele
So its been a week now since the last sighting. If anyone has any leads or can help with sightings, please let's us know so we can locate Dana once again. ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ ๐Ÿ’— ๐Ÿถ ๐Ÿ‘€
Also, just to let people know that Paul & I are in Langley with Freddy walking a small loop route leading from & to his dad's house to lay a scent for Dana to follow. We will do this a couple of times to make sure it's established well. We are also leaving a trail of a certain diluted liquid (I won't spoil your lunches!). These are all handy hints given to us in the past which we are using once again to try & attract Dana from hiding. So don't be alarmed if you see 2 adults & a dog going round & around leaving a trail of what looks like apple juice from a bottle! ๐Ÿƒ ๐Ÿถ ๐Ÿ’ƒ ๐Ÿ‘ซ ๐Ÿ
We are unable to come down to Langley tomorrow so if anyone is out an afternoon/early evening stroll with their doggies or just on their own, please keep a look out for Dana! ๐Ÿ’— ๐Ÿถ ๐Ÿ’—
DogLostNicky - Area Co-ordinator London, Home Counties & Police Liaison
Doglover the deceased dog is listed in the found section 102949 thanks x
Doglover
Michele I am in the middle of PM you and replying on here as well. Jenny and Tiga are brilliant if you have managed to get them to agree to track for Dana. With regard to the lady who has found the deceased dog. If you can get her to put a photo of the collar on this site and complete the rest of the info ie Dec,d dog where found etc, it may turn up the owner. I did exactly that a couple of years ago with just a photo of a collar and an owner came forward and it brought her closure, even though sad.
Michele
Baydogs - It is Jenny and Tiga! That is great to know - hopefully she will be able to help us. It was agonising and I then felt so sad as I knew there would be someone out their who will go through what I went though but without the relief of knowing it wasn't their dog... The lady from the canal was fantastic and is now a good ally in the search for Dana! She is rallying round the canal residents and making sure everyone knows abut Dana and more importantly, what she looks like exactly (I sent her various pictures). Thanks again for the words of support and encouragement! :-)
Baydogs
Michele, if it is Jenny and Tiga you have contacted they are very successful. Sometimes even the threat of them arriving causes the dog to surface whilst they are travelling to the location!

That must have been an agonising wait for you yesterday re the dog in the canal. Talk about a roller coaster of emotions! Really kind of her to try and find the owner. And not easy news to give when that owner is found. A good person.

You are doing all the right things :)

Michele
Hello Baydogs - No, no dog coat. She didn't like anything like that on her. Hopefully the collar and her blanket will be enough.

G - Yes it is Jenny who I have contacted. Not hear anything as yet but she did say on her website that if she didnt contact you back immediately, it is because she may be tracking a dog. The pm sent, do you mean on this page? Where do I look? Or is itvia FB?

Doglover - Thank you! We are all keeping as positive as possible!

Simbarose - I meant to respond to your comment before but realised I hadn't. So sorry you have had to go through this too - it is horrible and so distressing! I just cannot believe people can be so cruel and uncaring! I am sorry to hear your girl was stolen - that has to be so much more harrowing for oyu. I am thinking fo you too and hope she is returned to you soon!

So on a sad note (it was not Dana but a shock nevertheless), I got a call from a lady who lives on the canal yesterday because she found a dog matching Dana's description drowned in the canal. When I described her collar it was very similar but after sending a picture, it wasn't Dana's collar. I was in complete agony waiting for the picture of the collar to come through and in total relief when it wasn't hers, not to mention a little hysterical! I was then sad for the poor doggie that didn't make it and for the call her owner would be getting. I wasn't going to mention anything but I think I may get some people asking as the lady is trawling through the FB sites to see if anyone recognises it (if already had one tentative query). So I shall post something on her page but I wanted you all to know too, in case you see anything.

Thanks for your support and messages of help and sympathy! As always it is much appreciated!
Doglover
Michele, if you get a tracker dog, he will be able to,pick up the scent from where Dana has been sighted, along with the scent from Dana,s collar........stay positive, we will find Dana.....
G
Michele, you are doing everything right and from the sightings we know she is staying in Langley. Dog trackers are good (Jenny?) . I have sent you a little pm it may be in your
others. xLast edited: 2016-07-28 07:34:23 by G
Baydogs
Glad you left the collar unwashed Michele but wondered if you also have a dog coat somewhere that (only) she has worn?
Good luck with the tracking and wishing you only positive helpful calls from now on.
Michele
Just to confirm that Dana is still missing. Paul and I plan to go back to Langley to spread more food along the canal in the hope it will attract her to that area.

In the meantime, I have been given details of a dog tracker and have applied for her help. She works for charity purposes (a dog one of course) so if nothing comes of it, at least some much deserving doggies will benefit!

Apparently it helps to have something with Dana's scent and I do have Dana's blanket unwashed but Freddy has been lying on it (he really is missing her so much) but best of all I have her collar which I was about to put in the wash but thankfully didn't! I have kept it close to me when going out searching as a lucky charm.
I'll let you know if and when I hear from her.

As for today, no calls, crank, crazy, normal or hopeful...

Nite nite and here is hoping for some positive news tomorrow!

Baydogs
Doglover, although I'm beginning to feel a bit like an infiltrating criminal it's good that this has been brought up. Posts on PUBLIC pages (such as PAW, Harvey's Army, Dog Theft Awareness, Murphy's Army etc) can be read by NON Facebook members but they cannot comment on those pages unless they become a member. I'm assuming this is the same for all as I don't know why I would have been given special access :) Therefore, please be aware that all comments on PUBLIC pages can be read by anyone. Closed groups are NOT accessible. And I have also found some groups that state they are public are not accessible to non FB members - though I know not why. As I don't belong to FB I don't understand all the settings. The important thing is that people should be aware their comments can by read by the public at large.
I've sent a text to Peter to (hopefully) remind him of one of our dog communications and given permission for my number to be passed on to yourself.
Simbarose
Michele so sorry you had a scam caller too. I do know how you feel. The joy and elation you feel when you get a call to say they have got your dog the heartbreak and distress when you realise they don't and its a scam. I have had two from different callers since my girl was stolen. Try not to play the what if game they really didn't have your Dana. She is out there somewhere loose, you have good genuine people looking out for her. Hope she is home safe soon
Doglover
Baydogs .....to see Paw.. You have to be on Facebook...but you said you were not in Facebook......so confusing......lol
Baydogs
Doglover, nothing sinister or mysterious lol-you mentioned your op on a dog's thread on PAW. I'll see if I can find which one. I have sent Peter a couple of texts before about dogs. I expect he communicates with so many people regarding dogs he has forgotten.I'll text him again with a reminder.
Doglover
Baydogs.....we are all wondering who you are....how you knew about my OP ...only friends on FB knew about that...but Jayne mentioned to me when she rang about Prncess....Peter at Paw does not know who you are either..if he has your number you best let him know........SORRY MICHELE....NO OTE WAY OF CONTACTING BYDOGS....Re your crank call I have added a poster onto Dana,s post on facebook letting you know what to do if you get one of these calls again. xx
Baydogs
Michele, I'm sorry about the crank call. He does NOT have DANA. He doesn't have any of the dogs - yes, there have been many of these calls. He just wants your money because he has neither heart, nor a proper job, nor a life. Sad existence when you think about it. Please read this-
http://news.doglost.co.uk/2016/06/cruel-hoaxer-demands-money-for-missing-dogs/
Please report it to doglost and the police.
Michele
By the way, anyone following on FB, I've just had a massive rant following a crank call. I am normally a passive and unaggressive person but this truly upset me. He made out he had found Dana but was just stringing me along. It was a No Caller iD so couldnt trace him. Anyone else had experience of such calls?
Michele
Hello All

Just catching up on the comments.

Baydogs - I picked up your comment on FB as it was cross-posted. There are several canal boats along there but on the other side of the canal to where Dana was spotted. However, it was one of the residents form the canal boat that rang us on Friday night so they are keeping a watch. The marina company that oversees them has been emailed with a poster and we have put up a couple outside. However, you can't just walk in to the bit where they are moored as it has a gate and pin pad for entry. Paul and i are going back to Langley tonight so may see if we can speak to someone there. In any case, we have started to leave bits of food along where we think she has been and will carry on doing so to try and lure her back. It is a quite aprt and there are places where she can take shelter so more likely for her to go back.

In any case, just to confirm she is still missing and that I shall post an update after going up tonight. My wonderful neighbour Jo and her daughters were up today putting up posters and fliers through doors of flats above the shops, as well as covering the canal again.

I will try to post later tonight but if late, will update tomorrow day.

thank you all again for your continued support! :-) xxx
Baydogs
Have been reading comments elsewhere and understand that the back of the shops is too busy with people and foxes to be suitable.
Are they any boats (residential) moored in this canal? Would a friendly barge owner be willing to help here?
Baydogs
Yep, regular is GOOD :)
Doglover, unfortunately I can't pm you on FB because I'm not a member. I can see comments (some) but cannot post there. Hope you are feeling better btw x
Peter from PAW might have my mobile number though which would enable you to text me. Happy for him to share it with you.
Doglover
Seems like she is doing her triangle bit and getting regular.......feeding station definitely needs to be sorted.
BAYDOGS Can you pm me on Facebook please. X
Baydogs
Great news from your vigilant army Michele. As you are now getting to know her routine, would it be possible for one of these regular places to set up a feeding station? Are the Harrow Market shops aware they are paid a visit? Would they participate in regular feeding do you think?
Michele
So after some further searching on Saturday and Sunday, myself and Paul and a small army of volunteers from Serbia's Forgotten Paws together with some followers from the GetDanaHome, we found out about a couple of other sightings! One was on Thursday night at about 9:45pm behind the Harrow Market shops (there are bins with food from the takeaway shops) and another on Wednesday evening about 10ish along the Langley Rd. Other people mentioned that she had been seen along the canal at various times but not sure exactly when and what time.

So Dana does seem to be active late at night and likes to roam the canal.

This is really encouraging and if we could just get her come out at night in the same place, that would be perfect!
(Baydogs - You are right, she is just too darn streetwise for her own good!!)

So the search continues but again, just to ask anyone following her progress on Dog Lost and who lives locally to keep an eye out for her in the places she has been sighted and to let us know if you see her!

Many thanks again to everyone who has helped, shared and card!!

Has anyone else spotted Dana in this area today?
At least these sightings give you hope Michele. She's just too darn streetwise for her own good!
Michele
SHOUT OUT FOR PEOPLE IN LANGLEY!
We got a call at 10pm last night that Dana had been sighted on the canal at about 9:30ish opposite the barges between Mansion Lane bridge & Langley train station bridge. So Paul & I came down and searched up and down the canal until the early hours lbut nothing. We are up again now at first daylight to search but ask that if anyone is out & about in Langley today on the canal or again by St Mary's Road or Middle Green to keep a lookout & report! We believe this to be a positive sighting so convinced she is around here still!
Michele
So after today's search around Langley, nothing new to really report. I walked all around the route we think Dana took and several other nearby places but no new sightings of her. I was there from about 4ish until 8ish so gave it a good go.

I replaced some posters which had been taken down and put up new ones. I also stopped a few people and gave out more fliers. One lady suggested using Instagram - she says it is far more used than FB. I will set up an account tomorrow and get going on that.

As I walked back to the car, I spoke to a lovely lady who lives in Meadfield Rd who had the most impressive and sweet bulldog! The encouraging thing is that she said the majority of people in the area know about Dana and are looking out for her! She said also that she herself saw Dana on the Sunday, the day after she went missing on St Mary's Rd a couple of hours after she was sighted in the pub car park off the same road. So it appears that Dana hung around for a bit in the area. She and another lady tried to round her up but apparently she was very nervous and flighty. My poor darling!!! ๐Ÿ˜ข

I shall continue to keep you all updated. Thank you.

Thank you both!

Yes it has been very difficult being so far away, especially at the end of a night's search, knowing she is missing yet another day and we are effectively leaving her behind. It breaks my heart as we should be looking after her... :-(

Well just to confirm again that there has been no new news or sightings. I am going again to Langley tomorrow from about 4ish and will walk around the loop route we believe Dana has taken, stopping people and giving out fliers. Then Sunday Paul and I we will both go to Langley Country Park as Paul says that part of it backs on to Middle Green field so she could be wandering along there.

As always, will keep you posted!

Thank you all again!

How disappointing for you both Michelle. And it must be so difficult for you living so far away from where she went missing. I really hope you have some luck soon-either a new sighting or (even better) a personal appearance!
A video of Dana can be seen here-

So no guest of honour appearance tonight... I had had high hopes but I guess deep down I knew it wasn't to be.

So we walked all around the Middle Green field and set up the bbq by Trenchers Farm as that is the nearest point to the pond and a food source, near the caravan park.

But it was a no show... We hope though that if she is in the area that she will home in on where we were and at least be seen by some people at the caravan park, perhaps even caught.

Everyone, please keep an eye out for her in the area!

Thank you again!

Just to confirm that there have been no fresh updates and Dana is still missing.

So Paul went back again yesterday to the field near where she was credibly last seen on Monday 11th July (off St Mary's Road, Langley opposite Langley Manor school). He also went to Trenches Farm Caravan Park, which backs on to the far end of that field, to give out fliers and leave posters. A man at the park said that this field was easily one where a dog could survive as there are rabbits in the area, plenty of long grass and so places to take cover and also importantly a pond so a water source! Unfortunately, there were no other sightings of Dana.

Today I have rung around various Dog Wardens (those that are not linked to SDK Environmental and so use the http://www.lostdogsuk.co.uk/ site) to check and the local vets again to update them on the fact that Dana is still missing.

Paul and I shall again be coming down to Langley tomorrow night and having a BBQ in the field where Dana was last seen. It will be the hottest day of the year and we hope that the smell of stinky liver and lots of water will draw her out...

Please everyone kindly continue to be out local eyes and ears and report on anything that you think might be related to Dana! As always, we massively appreciate any help people can offer!

Thank you!

Apologies for the delay in getting a post to out but it was a long day yesterday and I have been gathering up all the information passed on to me so far.

So between us all we covered Langley, Datchet, Eton Wick ans Langley Country Park but no luck in seeing her.

However, I was stopped by a nice lady who said she was sure she saw Dana on St Mary's Road near the Langley Manor School running along the road and then going in to the fields opposite. This was on Monday, 11th July. This is very encouraging and does still pin her to the area and within the triangle that dogs do. We are planning on doing the BBQ tactic and will be there one evening early this week,

Just to take this opportunity to say that Paul and I do not live locally to Langley - we live in Oxfordshire (50 miles away and an hours drive) and so not on hand to just go out and look for Dana so easily. So any help from local residents on the area in keeping an eye out and so being our Eyes and Ears soldiers is MASSIVELY helpful!!

Thank you again for all your help!
Michele, Paul and Freddy (our other little doggie)

Hello All

For those that can make it this Saturday, 16th July to help in the search for Dana, we shall be meeting in LANGLEY, at the top end of MEADFIELD ROAD opposite the Langley Memorial Park at 11am.

Details of where we will attempt to search together with some posters and fliers will be handed out then.

Some people have asked if they can bring their dogs and I think it is a good idea as Dana is more likely to come to you if you have a doggie. I shall of course be bringing my faithful little soldier Freddy!

Thank you again for your response and efforts - Paul, Freddy and I are extremely grateful for your help and care!

Let's hope we really come close to finding Dana this weekend!

Just another post to say that there is another push planned for Saturday July 16th and we will mainly be searching around the bigger green areas near to Langley/Iver/Datchet/Slough.

Exact times and areas to be confirmed but if anyone can spare an hour or 2 sometime late morning/afternoon, we would be super grateful!

Thank you!

There was also another sighting about 2 weeks ago so possibly after the below sighting of June 25th in Datchet, at the bottom far end of the Recreation ground opposite Horton Road. The person was not 100% sure but it ties in with the other sightings and still pins her to the local area... As per below, please keep checking gardens/sheds/parks/fields. Thank you! **Reliable sighting on 25th June 2016.** Dana was seen being chased by a policeman on Ember Road. Man who saw her is a dog owner himself, and recalls the day as there was a stabbing incident so he was walking to check on his mother. This means she was still in the area she was lost in a full week later. We are appealing to locals to keep checking gardens/sheds/parks/fields. It's most likely she is within 10 miles of Langley still.

Hi GSD Owner! Yes we have gone to 3 travellers sites ( 2 in Langley & 1 Datchet) last weekend but no joy to date. ๐Ÿ˜ข

Hello! I am Dana's mummy. Just to confirm that she is still missing so I just wanted to give the latest status.

The last sighting of her was as per the below posting on Iver High Street and then Granger Way of the High Street, on Friday, 24th June. There have been no further sightings since but we are continuing to search for her and stop and talk to people as well as give out fliers. Please help us by keeping a look out and passing in any information possible.

Thank you to everyone that has helped to keep a look out and share posts or add comments here - it is very much appreciated! ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ’—๐Ÿถ๐Ÿ’—Last edited: 2016-07-02 20:52:18 by Michele

Crossposting from facebook "*******LATEST UPDATE SUNDAY, 26TH JUNE******
We have just had a call from a lady in Iver who contacted us after seeing the posters we put up yesterday. She also confirms the sighting of a dog like Dana on the High Street on Friday, near Grange Way during the day. She said she never thought anything of it at first as the dog seem to be walking towards a woman but that on seeing our posters, decided to call us. The main thing is that she confirmed that the dog is definitely NOT the one from the pub as she knows him well.
Again we were so close yesterday and walked near that particular spot. The little monkey seems to be one step ahead of us!!
We are heading back there now but if anyone is in the area or nearby, and can take a walk around Iver Village today, we would be most grateful! It's not very big so should be easy to cover.
As always, thank you all again for your help!"

Crossposting from facebook "Just to say that I am her mummy and the latest sighting for certain was in Langley, at the entrance to the Langley Memorial Park (SL3) on Monday late evening, Monday, 20th June 2016. She keeps moving around but so far has gone around in a loop and is near to where she started. An unconfirmed sighting was reported yesterday in Love Lane, Iver but there seems to be some confusion re her colouring and dog collar.

If you live in the area, please keep an eye out and if not but know someone who does, please share this post"

She is still missing !!! If you're local, please keep an eye out for her !

Just received this from her owner:

Dana was spotted in the Langley area still in a pub car park yesterday afternoon. So she hasnt gone far. I am at the pub but the landlord doesn't remember seeing her. There is a park nearby so I shall put up some more posters & call for her. As soon as I can I shall post something on FB but I wanted to hang around longer & check the area thoroughly. The pub is called The Chestnuts & is on St Mary's Road in Langley
