DOG THEFT WARNING
Reports of many thefts in the Forest of Dean area - some dogs have been held for ransom.
Please be vigilant at all times and take extreme care in this area. Keep dogs in view at all times - especially if off lead. Do not leave dogs unattended and report any suspicious activity to dog warden or local police.

National Police Dog Trials April 23rd – 26th 2009

Held at Leeds castle near Maidstone in Kent, Doglost was privileged to be invited to this event which for the first time was hosted by Kent police. The weather was kind and sunny (despite a cloudier Saturday) and the event was attended by many - the castle staff were expecting up to 6,000 for the Sunday finals. Chief Constable Mike Fuller of Kent police attended the event Sunday afternoon for the final parades and award presentations, which were made by HRH Prince Michael of Kent.
Having set up the initiative between Doglost and Kent police, Chief Constable Mike Fuller made a point of visiting our stand and also brought HRH Prince Michael to meet us and talk about our work.
During the show we managed to talk to a number of other forces who expressed an interest and we hope that they may also follow the lead set by Kent police and work together with us to combat the increasing crime of dog theft.
