I am moving Ria over to reunited as I have recieved an email about her from France. They have also sent a photo of her in her new home which will be added to her page. Wishing Ria a long and happy life in her new forever home xx
Email from finders as follows........

Despite long term advertising, phone calls and posters we never did find her owner.  She is now safe and well and a very very happy little dog in a lovely forever home.  Thank you for your help.  Attached is a picture of Ria at home.

The microchip details show that this girls name is Ria and the other dog she was with but which was not caught was a wire haired terrier. Her finders are keeping a look out for the other dog and will do their best to catch it if they can.
They have sent me an update as follows..............

' Rias owner has not yet come forward.  We have registered her with the refuges/fourrieres, we have put up posters and posted her story on lost dog internet sites so hopefully he will come forward one day.  In the meantime she is going to a lovely foster home where she will live until her owner comes forward or, after a good period of time she will be adopted.  Thank you to all the organisations and individuals who have helped in trying to find her owner.

Ria is assured a good future whatever happens. 'Last edited: 2012-05-31 21:59:49 by Jumanji - Co-ordinator.South.Yorkshire

I have been in contact with amanda who registered this dog with us and she has told me that further enquiries have revealed that the microchip is a Slovakian one.
The Slovakian owner lives in France but has not answered any messages left on their phone in either Slovakian, French or English. It is thought the contact details are not up to date and also possible that the dog could have been rehomed by her original owner or have been dumped. She was with another dog which they were unable to capture.
Everything possible has been done to try to trace her owner including making contact with her old vet in Slovakia
She will be handed over to a local dog refuge where amanda is a volunteer and she will make sure this girl is found a nice new home.
Amanda Thankyou for replying to my email so promptly ! X
