Dearest Lola, I suspect you came to this world and gave your life to teach and show us love and humility. I am so very sorry you had to suffer Precious. Look at all the people who love you; all those hearts you have touched. May you rest happily in heaven with God, knowing you are truly loved; your mission accomplished, your lessons taught and understood, and your legacy is in the knowledge of how to prevent this from happening again. You gave your life to save so many others. God bless you Lola, a very precious angel indeed. Thank you. x

BADAW, the rescue you speak of is as appalled as the rest of us and does not in any way support the actions of this individual. I doubt if they or anyone else will let her become involved in rescue work again. Now is the time for damage limitation, enough harm has been done, please don't allow it to spread to the innocent.
BADAW
Jackalee, my comments re not being in future happy to help the rescue concerned was not aimed at the rescue that had tried to save Lola but at the rescue that the one individual is, as I understand, a co-ordinator of.

I know DBDR is doing all it can following what has happened and that their members are shocked and heart broken over what occurred. What I can not understand is how anyone, let alone a co-ordinator of a bull breed rescue could do what she did.

Owl is quite right in saying DO NOT put names and addresses up on here even though that information has been posted elsewhere. This would be wrong, hence why I have not posted ant names of people or rescues.
Emma
Poor lola I've followed your story from the start was to far away to help look for you I'm sorry hope this evil sick women gets what's coming to her you did not ask for any of this you are free to run an enjoy yourself now at the bridge I've shed many tears over you as you look so much like my staffie that's laying here on my sofa with me now r.I.p lola sleep tight sweetheart at rainbo bridge now safe from harmxxxx

staffi lover. Thank you for your update on poor Lola. This VILE woman should be prosecuted forthwith as surely this is a crime? At least we all know on this site that Lola is playing at Rainbow Bridge away from that EVIL person. You are right jobadger what goes around comes around. Perhaps Lola will come back and haunt her. RIP lovely girl. Let us all hope we get justice for you SOON. Now in God`s care. Sleep tight sweetheart.

I have just been informed that a person has threatened to post the name and address of the individual responsible on this page. If anyone does this, the post will be removed and we will put that person's posts on moderation.

Words cannot express my emotions right now. Lola - I'm so very very sorry.
It's seven hours since I read the original posting and I'm gutted - I've thought about nothing else all night. This was someone who was trusted..... My thoughts are with the organisations who were involved originally in her rescue - they must be devastated. My only comfort - if I can use that word - is that what goes around comes around. I have expressed my thoughts a little more vividly elsewhere. Sleep tight little girl. xxLast edited: 2012-01-11 13:17:07 by jobadger

Run free at the bridge sweet Lola, no more pain and no more evil xx

I am assuming this women is a fake. Sadly this is happening alot now where evil ones are conning rescues/kennels. We had an incident at one of our local recues where 2 people volunteered to be dog walkers, they did not return with the dog. Tried to steal it. Eventually the rescue centre got the dog back. Name and address ID is now asked for. We must not condemn the rescues.
Such a very sad outcome for Lola and all who helped and went out searching for her xx
jane002
This is where i think its all getting confusing - Fleet Lane Kennels is in bradford not halifax.

Jumanji - lots of posts are being made round the internet, if there is the slightest bit of info wrong, then people are going to pick up on it and question it, as i have done - i queared(sp) there being no pound in halifax, which there isnt, in my origanal post i ment to say bradford ( not doncaster) it's not just me quearing this either unfortunaly, as some are thinking its a hoax. Fleet kennels works with a lot of rescues and part of the post thats going around is saying they dont.Last edited: 2012-01-11 00:43:07 by jane002

I can only emphasise the posts below made by jody Owl and calleywag. Nobody would be able to imagine in their wildest dreams that someone could do something like this so please dont condemn the rescue involved as they did everything they could to ensure her safe transportation. jane002 the stray kennels involved was not Mount Pleasant they only take dogs from Wakefield,Leeds, Rotherham and Doncaster. Please all try to stay calm with posts being made here on doglost and lets try to make this page a tribute to Lola x Rest in peace beautiful girl xxLast edited: 2012-01-10 23:08:20 by Jumanji - Co-ordinator.South.Yorkshire
calleywag
Regarding the pound query, Halifax falls into Calderdale MBC and all dogs there go to Fleet Lane Kennels, Queensbury, Halifax; it was not their fault that the Lola was pts as they were not the Dog Wardens that originally dealt with the dog; this has absolutely nothing to do with Mount Pleasant Kennels who were aware that Lola was missing and would have notified us. Just to be clear, Lola's death is not the fault of either Fleet Lane or Mount Pleasant Kennels; thanks so much Jody for attempting to give Lola the dignity and love she missed in life; for now can we please leave it at that as the matter could now be subject to legal procedings.

For those who are interested or have access to the websites; we are running an appeal on both facebook and rescue helpers unite in Lola's memory to help save other dogs that were in the same kennels as Lola in the hope that she did not die in vain, thank you xxxx rip Lola xxxxLast edited: 2012-01-10 23:01:32 by calleywag

On behalf of Everybody on here that has cared and sent their best wishes, god bless you. Owl I am with you and others that I haven't corresponded with. Yes please be careful what you post. Let us all not hinder any legal action, let are prayers and thoughts be with Lola foremost and every caring animal lover, especially Lisa & Nigel. Personally regardless of money and red tape I will keep everybody informed I am doing everything within my power to make sure Lola comes to Doncaster and make sure she gets the dignity and love she deserves. xxx
jane002
Tis a bit strange all this - theres no dog pound in halifax :/ so cant see how she could have been taken to one there, nearest one is doncaster - which do work with rescues, i've picked up dogs before from this pound for the rescue i help out with,
that rescue is in halifax, so would know if there is a dog pound there or not.
DogLostOwl
Could I ask please for everyone to be careful what they post, however upset we all feel? As statements have now been made by both rescues involved it is public knowledge what happened so I am not going to remove any posts, but I am deeply concerned about the possibility of legal action being hindered by too much heated discussion on forums. So please will all helpers bear this in mind when posting? Thank you
Alfies mum
cannot believe what happened to Lola. The woman transporting poor Lola is PURE EVIL and should be behind bars for what she has done. RIP little girl and run free xx
staffi lover
For the latest news about poor Lola Dogsos have posted a factual account of what happened. They entrusted a woman from bulliesos to transport Lola to a waiting foster home, instead she called the dog warden and said she was a stray dog she had found. she then lied to dogsos saying she had lost her. and created the dogs lost posters. lola did her 7 days in the pound and was then put to sleep as no one reclaimed her. This EVIL woman sentenced her to death when she knew a foster home was waiting to care for her. WHY only she knows. she needs prosecuting!!!!!

So sorry to see that Lola has gone to Rainbow Bridge. At least she is out of harm now. But can anyone tell me why this lovely gitl was PTS? As I dont know the full story. Run free with my Max (Boxer) too and Judy (SBT). If an innocent dog has been PTS then let justice be done.God Blessxxx

I am heartbroken to say that Lola is at Rainbow Bridge having been put to sleep. As this is likely to be a matter for legal action, I am not able to give you any more details at present.
BADAW
Jumanji sorry to say no did not get email update re phone and new address. Ensure subject box has details as "no subject" emails go straight to spam box.

Am up for Sunday, let me have details and I will be there.
Alfies mum
Outwood acadamey (adwick high school) is literally 2 minutes from the shops in woodlands and where she went missing from. it may be possible to email them a poster via the school website.
Jumanji - Co-ordinator.South.Yorkshire
Thsnks for your suggestions Alfies mum and we will see if someone can get posters into the schools ! hi BADAW ! At the moment it looks like there will be a door to door search on Sunday. I emailed you a while back with my new address and home number ..... did you receive it ?
BADAW
Jumanji I would be up for helping with door to door or an other search etc, if wanted. Any time except Tues 10th. Better to email rather than phone just at the moment. TracyB has my email address if you do not. P.
Alfies mum
if a young girl took a young staffy home then it would be worth going to adwick comp and the local junior schools in the area and ask if the heads of school mention it in assembley. we had a drive round woodlands today and had a look round the shops but no sighting. Also it may be worth dropping a poster into highfields school as it is also close to the area she went missing in
Jumanji - Co-ordinator.South.Yorkshire
HI Staffyclub we went to Woodlands yesterday and there are a lot of houses there but I am not sure how much of it classes as the 'woodlands estate'. I am sure Jody who lives locally will be able to enlighten us. I think knocking door to door is viable if we can get enough people together and work to a plan in pairs or small groups.
Staffyclub
How big is Woodlands estate? Is it worth considering having a team of people to go knocking on doors or is that not a good idea? Just wondered - really have no idea what the protocol is - but I thought if people were armed with photos of her and knocked doors, somebody somewhere would know something.
Jumanji - Co-ordinator.South.Yorkshire
Jody thanks so much for all you are doing to find Lola ! We went over to the area Lola went missing in this afternoon and also the areas of the sightings and have done some more postering and left some posters in shops too. The manager at Jack Foultons seems pretty definite that the dog that kept going in their shop was not Lola. He said the dog went in his office and he was certain it didnt have the bad skin condition that Lola has but he wasnt sure of the sex of the dog which was dissapointing as i was hoping to ascertain if the dog that went in Foultons could have been the male staffie that is on our website as found in woodlands on Thursday. Although he was definitly sure that the dog wasnt wearing a collar. Hopefully more can be found out about the reports of the female staffy that has been taken in on the Woodlands estate !Last edited: 2012-01-07 22:21:17 by Jumanji - Co-ordinator.South.Yorkshire

Hi everybody, would just like to update. I have been in Jack Fultons twice today for any updates, the card shop, left details at Rhythym & Booze and put an advert in One Stop the other end of the shops on Great North Road.
On behalf of Lisa:- reporting of a young girl that found/took in a female staffy on the Woodlands estate, no name or address given but looking into it! Not received any sightings or phone calls today about Lola. Lisa would like to thank everybody who has given their time searching, postering and enquiring.
jody - Area Volunteer, South Yorkshire
Calleywag, I have been in touch with Lisa. If only this man could have kept hold of her! how frustrating is this...am going out again shortly to look..
jody - Area Volunteer, South Yorkshire
How long ago was this? This is literally across the road from me.. and I have been out with my little man earlier. You do mean Woodlands don't you, there was a black male staffi picked up earlier from woodlands. Please let me know
calleywag
Possible sighting of Lola outside the Post Office in the parade on Great North Road; she was reported as having 'mange' on her back but no collar; she was running up to people and playing with a border collie that was tied up outside the shops; she also ran in and out of Jack Fultons

have spoken to Lisa today and have said we will hopefully be able to go over to Doncaster tomorrow to do some postering and searching.I dont want to put a damper on yesterdays sighting of Lulu but we do have a male staffordshire bull terrier registered as found yesterday in the Woodlands area of Doncaster DN6.He is dark coloured and there is just a chance people may have sighted him if he was wandering around and thought it was Lola. Its just a thought ! x Last edited: 2012-01-06 15:33:59 by Jumanji - Co-ordinator.South.Yorkshire

I will do, Tracy, but at present we can't do much more than lots of postering and networking, and follow our usual procedures. Even if I were able to come, Wispa would be handicapped by the extreme winds at present as in order to locate Lola within the area she is running around she would need not only to ground scent but also air scent which is very hard under these wind conditions. Unfortunately I don't feel that anyone else could work her in a built-up environment without knowing her well and reading the complex body language she uses to show me what she is doing, how old the scent is, etc. It's taken me ages to understand it and I'm still learning.
TracyB
I still have trap over here but need to set up a feeding point -away from roads. Ive asked friend (Dan) to cross post to his friends & family in area. Theres Petstore on the retail park halfway down this road. Loads of car sales shops as its on main drag into Donny. Will try go over again tomorrow & have already notified people that she is missing. If picked up she will go to Mount Plesant.
Pheobe - if theres anything else can do -let me know, pity cant work Wispa -
Staffyclub
Ahh - I was told that the lady who did the tracking had broken her ankle - didn't know that was you. Sorry to hear it - must be painful.

I was told that they tend to stick in the same area and may sort of circle it? Is that right? Would it be prudent to tell people to put food out in the area she was lost maybe? Is a dog trap worth considering or would that be no use?
DogLostOwl
Sorry calleywag, we obviously got the same texts to post here but you type faster than I do. In answer to the query about the tracker dog, there aren't many dogs who track missing dogs and I handle the nearest one. We were just about to set out early on Saturday morning to help in the search when I slipped on mud next to my van and fractured my ankle, so we are grounded for a couple of months. Dogs don't usually just keep running, they find somewhere with a food source and somewhere to hole up. If she has settled around Bentley, then the important thing now is poster, poster, poster. Don't try to catch her while she is running scared, but put out food for her if you see her around.
Staffyclub
Oh God, I hope it's her. I looked on the map and it's so near the A1(M).
I'll post up on our FB page - what's the protocol for people to try and catch her if it is her?
DogLostOwl

Apparently the sighting was yesterday. "it was at the tesco express on high street bentley and a man was seen picking her up as she was actually in the shop"
