Ah Harrycaper and minigirl you beat me to it !! lol. I just saw him listed as missing on the National Pet register. I knew it was him immediately i saw the photo on NPR as we had such a good photo sent into us by Harrycaper. Well done for looking after him and keeping him at home till his owners were found. I hope they realise how lucky they were that you did this. Welcome home Bruce and please stay safe from now on x

A visit to the vets to have the microchip scannned confirmed that this is Bruce, and he is now happily reunited with his lovely family.

Spoken to Bruce's owners overnight, our descriptions of the dog seem to match, and have arranged to meet later this morning. Fingers crossed for a happy reunion.

I think the owners of this dog are advertising him as lost on Leeds Gumtree- have sent them a text directing them to this website. Fingers crossed!

I'll take him to the vets tomorrow to see if he is chipped. He's about 14 inches to the shoulder. Spoken with the dog warden, and he'll come to collect the dog on Wednesday 21st Sept.

oh thanks for getting the photo to us HarryCaper! he looks a lovely boy and I do hope his owner is found.Well done for keeping him at home for the time being too as this will give hi owners time to come forward. If you havent already had him checked for a chip and if there is a vet near to where you live they should scan him for you.How tall at the shoulders is he ? He doesnt look to be a full Patterdale to me but may have Patterdale in his breeding. Last edited: 2011-09-19 13:46:51 by Jumanji - Co-ordinator.South.Yorkshire

Thanks for the voicemail. Have uploaded a picture. Spoke to the dog wardens this morning but their computer systems were down, so will be calling later this afternoon. The dog is with me for now, and can stay with me for a few days if this gives us more time to find his home.

harryCaper thanks for taking this dog in and registering him with doglost. I have left a message on your mobile ..... mainly asking if possible could you take a photo of him and either upload it directly to this page or email it into us at admin@doglost.co.uk. Photos are aays so helpful to us for indentification purposes. It does sound as though he may live not so far from you so hopefully his owner can be located. It might help find his owner if your are able to put a few found posters up ? Thanks again for registering him with us !Last edited: 2011-09-19 13:17:07 by Jumanji - Co-ordinator.South.Yorkshire

Took the dog for a walk around the area he was found. He took me straight to Woodhouse Ridge, where he's obviously been walked before. A dog walker recognised the dog as one he'd seen with a man described as having a mohican style haircut. I'm told the dog was a recent addition to that household, and about 9 months old. Unfortunately the dog didn't do a lassie and lead me straight to his proper home :-(
