A very kind lady who wants to return the kindness shown to her when her own dog was missing has offered to pay the council fees for the owner, to get Toby out of kennels, by donating to Lostdogs-Scotland. I will be paying the fee and arranging for return of Toby first thing Monday. He will then be delivered home by the dog warden. Will re-unite ASAP.

Isn't it awful? The so called "friends/neighbours" were trusted with this oldie until his owner's daughter came for him a few days later, while his owner was in hospital, and they go and do this to him. Unbelievable - hope the police throw the book at them !!DW said he was very laid back and friendly. He just does not deserve this at his age. He is a much loved family pet who has been with his owner since a pup.Last edited: 2011-07-29 18:08:29 by Sable - Regional Co-ordinator - Scotland

Toby was added to www.Lostdogs-Scotland.org.uk on 27/7/11 and I have been helping owner's daughter to locate him.I located him today and he is at the council kennels, and will be back with his owner on Monday (hopefully). He was picked up as a stray after being tied up for 4 hours and left outside the library at Motherwell - "allegedly" by the people who were supposed to be looking after him. I have been told they have been charged by police. Will re-unite him after I know he is home where he belongs.Poor little man.
