Sad update
"BAXTER
Having been brought to us following a road traffic accident last Friday, Baxter was stabilised in our hospital over the weekend. Unfortunately for Baxter, he had sustained complex pelvic fractures causing irreparable damage to the nerves supplying his left hindlimb. Sadly this has resulted in the leg becoming unsalvageable and 2 days ago, amputation of this leg was performed. Little Baxter is a fighter and is recovering very well from his surgery.
We have been approached by the Cairn Terrier Relief Fund who, very generously, have offered to pay for all of Baxter’s treatment. "

Looking more and more likely that Baxter may have come from the travelling community - if he's not claimed, the vet practice have stated that he will be rehomed with all the relevant checks required to secure his safety and a happy loving future.

have emailed pool house vets to thank them for caring for this little dog, rather than wait til somebody claims him.I have offered help with medical bills. with 5 rescued dogs already regrettably I cant offer a home, much as I love little scruffy dogs. I am certain the vets will ensure his future

This little chap is stable. Someone has posted on the vets FB page that they think he's from a travellers site near where he had his RTA. People have also offered to help fund his treatment but the vet practice say they're happy to treat him in the meanwhile and just want to find his owners.

Please ensure that you notify your local Dog Warden and the local Police Station - in Scotland you MUST inform your local Police Station and if possible contact the Dog Warden also.
The found dog may have a Microchip or a Tattoo - please have the dog scanned and checked for a tattoo at a vet's so that owners may be contacted as soon as possible.
