Thanks Claire, I only know about easyfundraising as the rescue group I help use it. It doesn't cost anything and we have raised quite a lot between us. I hope it helps.

Thats very kind of you to have made some further enquiries on behalf of doglost. I will email into admin abs draw their attention to your latest post.
Esther
Hi Owl, it may be worth checking, I know that individuals wanting to do some kind of sporting event or the like can also use it to raise money. If you want me to I can look in to it further, but I don't want to be pushy if you don't want me to. (Actually just checked and you don't have to be a registered charity, just to be a good cause )Last edited: 2016-04-25 10:13:35 by Esther
DogLostOwl
Thank you Esther, but I think that only applies to registered charities, not to non-profit-making organisations like Doglost.
Esther
Is there actually any news on these 3 ? On the subject of keeping this site financially afloat, I have in the past written to admin about easyfundraising. It raises money from companies that sell on line. If you buy things online a very small percentage of the normal purchase price is donated to your chosen charity. It costs you nothing but does raise quite a lot of money. I am always dubious of this sort of thing but it seems to be working well for a springer/cocker rescue that I do it for and there are not that many of us that do it for them. I may be shot down in flames, but just an idea. There are so many people associated with Doglost it may raise a lot of money

Can I make a suggestion please? I kept looking on the News tab on the left when there were problems with the new site for updates but there is no mention ... if someone put an item on there more folk could be made aware that it HAS cost money to sort out and maybe a few extra donations will come in. I am going to pop a cheque in the post.

I too am so so glad to see the old doglost site back - but I believe it cost a small fortune for Jayne and the team, so hope they have kept all their amazing supporters and get lots of donations
ClaireC
I think we are all thinking the same!

Yes please keep Dog Lost like this .

Any news on these 3 dogs please.?

I think there was times we all felt helpless without Dog lost.
So glad it is back and so glad it is the old one Brilliant
ClaireC
Thanks for lovely comments on our old site back again. I have made Jayne and admin aware. X

Beggars belief someone just tied them to a gate and left them, anything could have happened to them!! Hope they find a good home soon. I agree with the comments about having this old website back, the new one was appalling and I hope it hasn't cost Doglost a lot of expense in both money terms and in the loss of any frustrated supporters, I nearly gave up looking too, it would have been a HUGE loss to the dog world after all these years if the site folded. WELCOME BACK TO THE OLD WEBSITE :-)
Esther
I hope these 3 have a good outcome, bless them. Elaine I so agree with you about the site. I nearly gave up and came on once more to see how you and Seeks were doing and Hey Presto everyone was back to normal.

I can see why you can end up with lots of dogs - I adore terriers and have 5 rescued ones but when I see this little trio it is so hard not to offer them all a home, but I must not. thankyou Jayne to the wonderful old website I can follow these 3 until I see them in the blue
JulieH
Could any of them be Tinker 71081 ?
ClaireC
Certainly looks as though their owner didnt want them unless stolen and sadly dumped! Hope they will all be rehomed together if this proves to be the case.
JulieH
Poor dogs ,hope they are soon reunited, shame they aren't chipped x
