Might be worth putting an ad in the Wandsworth Guardian in the pet section with a photograph. It worked when someone took my cat in with a view to keeping him, ensure you put 'needs medical attention' - vet bills are a great leveller for people. 020 8329 9244Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I can't understand why so many people think they can just pick up a dog and keep it - they should be prosecuted once the dog is returned. x Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Hi Deedub. So sorry to hear there has been no news so far. Please keep up the postering, and replace the ones that fall down, as sometimes people assume a dog has been found. Poster the pubs in the area, and talk to the people in them. Local people are great for spreading the word and news spreads like wild fire in any village pub. I can't usually get email addresses for pubs, so if you could do those that would be a good idea. Give out smaller posters to the people you talk to, especially dog walkers. Hopefully pansy will still be in the area. What about clinics, doctors surgeries, where mothers would take babies ? Hopefully if these women are in the area, they may turn up at one of those. There is no real reason to assume they are all tourists. One, if not all may be residents. Regarding a new dog, perhaps giving a home to a little rescue, might just help to bring Pansy home. I'm sure she would like a little friend xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

hi pansie update, sunday afternoon. unfortunately we have had no further leads on our beautiful puppy's whereabouts however an article was published in a local paper, the western morning news. the other paper the herald express, is also going to print a story, hopefully next week. we are trying to remain positive although it is very hard and would love to think that the stories in the paper about pansie will trigger someones memory of her on that afternoon. if only the 3 ladies who found her see them and make contact it would be a huge breakthrough. we will never give up hope of finding pansie and bringing her home. it has been suggested to us to get another dog and this is something we are giving serious consideration. a huge thankyou to everyone who is helping us and please stay vigilant and remember pansie, keep looking for her and keep talking about her to your friends. princess pansie we love and miss you very much. thankyou, j,d,c xxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

A tourist town like Torquay will have a hoteliers' association and probably a tourism marketing consortium. Both would be useful to contact in order to get to members.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

So sorry Pansy is missing. Please make sure you have posters in all the post offices, convenience stores, and supermarkets. Places that sell stamps and post cards, shops that sell lunches, beach stuff, tea rooms, coach and bus stops, public toilets, take away food shops. Anywhere you may go with kids if you were on holiday. You need to have hundreds and hundreds of posters. Will try to get back on here to email some for you this evening. xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Pansie went missing at just after 5PM on Wednesday 6th June on Ilsham Road in Wellswood, Torquay. We have today talked to a lady who works at one of the shops on the parade who saw Pansie cross the road and was picked up by a lady in her sixties who was having tea with her two daughters and granddaughter (baby) outside the ?Think England? coffee shop. That was the last sighting as they walked away but it is believed by the lady that served them that they were on holiday and not locals. Pansie is looking quite scruffy at the moment and is booked into the groomers on Wednesday of next week under her fur on her back paws she has little white patches. She is getting a little knotted under her tummy and we have also cut back some of the hair around her eyes. We are extremely desperate to find Pansie any help would be very much appreciated We have now received another call today of a sighting of a similar dog in the Barton area of Torquay but are pursuing the Wellswood sighting as a matter of urgency Each day we are phoning all of the local vets, pet shops, groomers, dog warden, police, kennels, animals in distress, local schools and have put out over 100 fliers and posters. An advert has been taken out in the papers to run for 6 days. Thanks for your continued support Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
