There's just been a programme on Channel 5 called Dog rescuers with Alan Davies. Featured a found raccoon dog. No other details I'm afraid, but you might want to check it out in case it could be Meeko? Fingers crossed x

Natasha (Meeko's owner) has now seen the BBC East Midlands article and advised it is NOT Meeko. Hopefully the reported local sighting back at the beginning of December means he is still staying safe in the local area in Cornwall.

A raccoon dog has been found in glossop it is with the rspca and been reported by the BBC in the East Midlands it was caught in a trap.

Natasha has said she doesnt think the one sighted on fb is Meeko. Apparently there was a sighting of Meeko locally not so long ago so I will bump page to keep his profile higher in case he is sighted again.

Owner confirmed.not Meeko. The one in car park has now been reunited. One day i am sure that Meeko will be found.

It's a long shot but someone took a video of a raccoon they saw in Bishops Lydeard, it is on the Somerset Gazette website this week.He didn't seem to be wearing a harness but might be worth a look?

I sent a text message to Natasha a couple of days ago about contacting K9 Search Dogs. Im not sure whether Natasha has other pets..but I'm sure Sam Farlap would be able to offer some good advice.about bagging and sealing anything of Meeko' s that could be used for Forager to scent ..just in case there is a positive sighting.

Have spoken to Meekos owner. Sadly nothing has been seen of him since he went missing. he could be in the woods behind their property, but the weather has been very bad & they have not been able to search for a few days. They are preparing more posters to distibute locally to farms/neighbours etc.

Meeko is VERY NERVOUS, he is food orientated with a keen sense of smell, so have advised to go back to area he went missing with some of his favourite treats.
He may also be caught up somewhere with his harness or hiding out, so have advised to check all ditches/hedges etc in area.

• Obtain a missing poster by clicking on View poster above. Posters are very important so start postering now!
