You seem to have stopped talking to each other! You must keep putting up posters, replace the old ones with bright new ones so people are re awakened to your plight. Add flourescent strips with telephone numbers for people to take home. DO NOT give up hope whoever has Vinnie will fall foul of the posters if you keep them going. Good Luck. have been in touch with keelah and she is going to include vinnie in a feature in the local papers with other dogs that are missing from our area so will wait and see if any response to that-fingers crossed. all the shops in the parade where fitness first is, (including the vets) have been great and have put posters up. it was crossing the brighton road outside the fitness first where our vinnie was last sighted so we spent a lot of time there!Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Vinnies mum, did you get something in the local paper - even if you did try others too. Sometimes you may have to pay for an advert, but it will guarantee it is in the paper next edition. Have you been into fitness first and left them a poster to put up at reception (hopefully), lots of people in and out may see him - even a passing glance and call you quickly. If you are right and he has been taken in, they will probably care enough to take him to the vet at some point. Make sure you get his poster on display at all vets, dog training clubs in the area, and Coulsdon sorting office. I used to live in the area and it is so frustrating for me to see so many missing from the area at the moment. Stay safe Vinnie x!Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Hi Vinnies mum I'm sure you are right about someone havening him and yes this will make it hard for who ever has him, keep making him hot to hot for them to keep him. He is so very distinctive they would be noticed if they took him out.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

we've now got in touch with all neighboring borough's dog warden's, called the police again and put new posters up as well as thanks to dog lost should have something in the local paper. we are pretty sure h has been taken by someone as he was seen in good shape one day, then nothing at all since. we are hoping that the posters and paper ad will make it too hard for whoever has him to keep him. i miss him.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

through this website we found a couple that had found a 9 month old black and white mongrel bitch nearby in chipstead, we checked with them but it wasn't vinnie. the pup was mostly black with white tip to tail, and eats everything so they think that he may have been dumped :o( we are dissappointed it wasn't vinnie but thought we'd better post on here in case the description matches another lost dog. the pup is now with the banstead dog wardenLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Hi Vinnie's mum. Sorry to hear there's been no more sightings, but please don't give up hope. You seem to be doing all the right things and I'm sure we'll soon see Vinnie "in the blue". I notice he was spotted around a church.Has the churchyard been thoroughly searched incase he's found a nice, quiet sheltered spot in there to hole up? I'm sure I've read on this site of more than one occasion when a dog has been found in a churchyard. Too far away to be of any practical help, but I'm rooting for you xxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

there have been no sightings of Vinnie since Tuesday 12 June. We have done everything we can, called warden vets, shelters and police and community police regularly, put posters up walked the streets all the time, spoken to as many people as possible in the area, (everyone has been helpful,) we have really lost hope. We are hoping that someone has taken him in, and that he isn't dead, but we can't do any more.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Any news on Vinnie, Vinnies mum please let Jayne @ HO know about how much the reward is, she can then update our poster for other helpers to print off and distribute. Also I am assuming the Croydon Dog Warden has been informed. If not please let me know and I will email Vinnies info over to him. If you need any help, please do not hesitate to call me. Just been out with our other BC. Walked all around the places he has been spotted. No sign. Wish i could ask our other BC if she could smell him or if she knows where he is. Have decided to offer a reward now, in case anyone has decided to take him. We are so desperate for him to be home safe, we don't really know what else to do.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Vinnie was sighted ooon the opposite side of the Brighton Road by Fitness First and the bowling alley again Tuesday 12 June which is only a couple of hundred yards from home. Getting very frustrated as whenever we go to call and look for him there is no sign of him. The people who have seen him say he looks fine, but knowing him he must be very scared and lonely as he has never been apart from Sadie our other BC. He is very friendly but will bark as scared of new people. Tit bits or a toy might work, please grab him if you see him! We have tried the scenting. The Purley Way is too far from where he was last seen thank GodLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

there was another sighting yesterday. Vinnie crossed the Brighton Road near the Fitness First gym in Purley, not far from home twice, and looked fine. we called him and searched the area with no luck. we are getting really worried now as Vinnie has been gone 5 days. We are continuing to put posters up and are walking the streets. will try the scent thing, thank you dog ladyLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Vinnie was last spotted in a garden on Manor Wood Road in Purley at about 9.30am 7 June. He was also sighted in the grounds of St Swithuns church at the end of Downlands Rd at 8.15pm on Wednesday 6 June. We spent 5 hours looking for him and putting more posters up yesterday with no sightings and are even more worried about him. He has one blue eye and very distinctive face markings. He may bark but is the soppiest dog in the world. We miss him. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
