I don’t have these now. So long ago I can’t recall the breeder.
The other issue is how the law works.
I like your thinking and agree it should be done for lost and found animals.

Re proving a dog is Pickle.....I may be way off the mark here, but how much does DNA testing cost? It's probably a fixed price for say paternity testing, surely the same test could be applied in respect of a recovered dog who isn't microchipped or whose microchip has been removed or damaged. Could get DNA from the lost pet's brush, bedding or even siblings or parents and compare with a recovered dog? Anyone reading this have any knowledge or have I watched too many crime dramas......

There’s no way of proving a dog now found is pickle. I’ve pictures of her tummy with marks but they may of changed. I don’t think I will ever see her again. I can only hope she is loved and in safe hands.
Karma will come back on the people who stole her.

theresa, She may recognize her RIGHTFUL owners, although a puppy at the time, she was taken, or maybe she has a mark somewhere that only the owner would know. Paws xd.

just wondering here how they will prove any dog found is her or not? she wasn't chipped and 3 years on will be fully grown. they probably wouldn't know if it is her and how do they prove it if they think it is?!

Hi there has been a female dog found in canvey Island- unsure of the breed yet white but very dirty not microchipped. I read that whoever stole Pickle was traced to Basildon which isn't too far. Could owner please contact the rspca I think it's Essex Southend and district branch where I believe this dog has been taken and will be up for adoption in 7 days. Is the owner active on doglost? I assume she will be emailed but I will phone or message the number if I don't see a response tomorrow. Adele, the owner, and myself have both just been on BBC Three Counties as a result of the Range Rover being dumped in Luton. Drive's Roberto Perrone is always very supportive and he made a tremendous plea for Pickles' return.

I have spoken to the owner via e-mail and have now seen the video and the dog I saw was young but not as small as Pickle.. Sorry to have gotten everyone's hopes up but it was too much of a coincidence to not mention. I have a list of vets in Essex via my help to find Zac and Blu and will e-mail Pickles poster over to them tomorrow. Have also shared to rescue worker near Bedfordshire I know who is sharing to all contacts xx

Number incorrect but have the correct number now as emailed owner with the info. Have passed on helper SueD's email address, Owner has made contact with the vets but also needs to speak to SueD. May we ask no one contacts the vets please as owner already has.
Update the Range rover was tracked to Bedford but was involved in 3 other incidents in between at various locations...we are trying to find out more.

I was in Wylies Vets in Hall Lane this morning and a woman came in with a puppy Maltese, it could have been a pure coincidence but may be worth giving them a ring just to check as very close to stolen area.
