As this dog is microchipped, has the owner checked with the microchipping company to see if this dog has ever been scanned in the time he has been missing
Rose
I would cetainly have asked this dog sitter what she did to find the missing dog and any evidence on record. This doggy could be anywhere by now! x

yes, definitely negligent, be interesting to know what the circumstances of the dog sitter loosing him were, and what they might have done to find him, big dog like Charlie would be difficult to miss if out on the loose.

So from what I read this dog went missing at the beginning of last year ( 2015 ).The circumstances around this dogs disappearance also seem alarming to me.Was the dog sitter a registered company or a member of a online one such as dogbuddy.com as it would appear they have be negligent in their care of the dog.I do hope the owner and their dog are reunited asapLast edited: 2016-01-16 16:51:55 by Nigel Ongley

Did the lady who was looking after Charlie explain exactly how he went missing? Was he on a walk, or went from her garden etc?

Hi, I am currently looking for my Shar Pei cross his name is Charlie and he is 3 years old! We found dog sitter online also the one we found was recommended to me by a friend of a friend so I thought it was all genuine and I went over to her house and everything was fine was was looking after a few dogs at the time. I went on holiday for a month over Christmas and new year and I kept in close contact with the lady ( she lives in Sevenoaks) and getting updates saying his is fine and happy so I was pleased. When I got home and went to collect him they told me he's missing and he's been missing for a week now ( they only told me that when I went to pick him up) panicked.. I didn't know what to do I contacted loads of places all over and never heard anything. I know it's been a year but I really think he is out there somewhere. He's microchiped but I have never anything as of yet even though it's nearly been a YEAR, I'm not losing home as I believe he is somewhere either if someone has took him in or he's in a rescue centre.. Please help and share this so we can find out boy xx

Sorry to see that CHARLIE is missing.
  • If your dog is microchipped please let the microchip company know that your dog is missing and check that all details are up to date.
  • Owners targeted by a malicious hoaxer demanding money for the return of their dog should phone the police on 101 immediately and contact admin@doglost.co.uk
  • A photograph of your dog is essential for the website. If you have not already uploaded one, please do so by clicking on Update details. Alternatively you can email it to admin@doglost.co.uk quoting the dog's DogLost ID number: (97352)
  • Obtain a missing poster by clicking on View poster above. Posters are very important so start postering now!
  • You will need to be logged in to upload photos, edit your dog's details, or add comments. You can add comments by clicking on Click here to add a comment.
  • Contact dog wardens, vets and local rescue centres, and in Scotland, the Police. Give a detailed description with any distinguishing marks/scars or send them a copy of your DogLost poster. You can find vets in your area here.
  • If your dog has been stolen inform the police immediately and obtain a crime reference number (CRN). Send an email to stolen@doglost.co.uk.
  • If your dog is picked up and taken to rescue kennels, it can be legally re-homed after seven days. Visit rescue centres in person and do not rely on checking by phone alone. Other people may not recognise your dog by your description, so give them a DogLost poster.
  • Keep us updated by keeping your dog's page up to date and check for posts from helpers who may have suggestions and possible matches or sightings
  • DogLost is free and anyone asking for money to find or return your dog is not volunteering for us. If you are concerned about an approach you have received, please email admin@doglost.co.uk
